Stayed for the main couple

First of all, here's a recommendation: make sure to find good subtitles for this series. When I tried to watch the first episode with English subtitles, they were so bad that I seriously considered dropping the show altogether. I was lucky enough to find good subtitles in my native language, but if I hadn't, I don't think I would have watched anything past the second episode. Also, the first two episodes are very slow and the pace only picks up from the third episode, so that wouldn't have helped either.

The plot of the story is not very convincing. There are good tropes that could have made the story interesting, but all of them felt very superficial and inconsistent: some elements were introduced and then forgotten, some others stayed for the entire story but never felt as crucial as they were probably meant to be (like the rivalry between Dorm 2 and Dorm 3, which kept being brought up and then suddenly forgotten at every turn). I was under the impression that the writers came up with different ideas, then were indecisive about which one they could pick, and finally chose to include all of them. I felt like I was being swept left and right by the plot and its constant changes in direction, so after a while I just stopped questioning anything that was happening in the story, and focused on the romance.
The story of each couple isn't much less confusing than the overarching plot, but the chemistry of the main pair made up for it. Ai and Songkhram have to be one of the most adorable on-screen couples I've seen and all their moments together had me glued to the screen; the development of their relationship was also pretty good despite everything. The secondary couples didn't get the same care, unfortunately: I feel like Pipe and Meen could have shown much more, but the pacing was off and their story ended up feeling unsatisfying to me. As for Pluster and Nano, they didn't really have any sort of subplot of their own to begin with - either that or it was just so insignificant that it didn't even catch my eye.

Overall, I'm sure I will remember this series just because of Ai and Songkhram and not much else. I only recommend watching as long as you don't have high expectations for the story.

The worst

I was not sure whether to watch this drama or not since I have heard nothing about it but after perusing the two reviews and a great number of comments all saying the same thing; a clunky first half but a brilliant second, I decided to give it a try. And I finished it. And I am still waiting on the brilliant part to show up. I have not seen it. Unless under brilliance people are talking about NC scenes and they really do start in the second part and there are lot of them. They are mostly superfluous. And they are boring as hell! Why? Because the PLOT is non existent! And voyeurism was never my cup of tea!

After the first episode, I had to check the year it was made because the plot was reminiscent of all those university bls from 6-7 years ago. The plot was the same (it was bad!), the acting was the same (it was bad), the sound effects were the same & omnipresent (it was bad), the costumes were the same (it was bad). The only part I liked a bit was the music but even that was the same (though not totally bad).

The plot: the rivalry between two dorms (2&3) of engineering (original, huh?) students which is not real since they are all attending classes together and are friends. There are like 5/6 different dorms. In the Dorm 2 there were pretty boys (they actually measured their facial features with a ruler! So CREEPY!) and in the Dorm 3 athletic guys. They are all apparently boys' dorms so there are no nasty and annoying girls shipping our couples (the other boys are doing that!). There are no girls. Period! There are three couples but the only interesting one was Meen & Bright. The rest was awful! Some things happen, and then some others none of which are remotely interesting. It finishes on an "uplifting" time skip of three years after their graduation. Ai is an engineering hotshot and Songkhram is a commercial airline plane captain. They both must be like 26 or so.... yeah, right! Nothing is convincing in this plot, there are some ridiculous gangsters and family drama but really left unsolved and forgotten. The overall plot is full of tropes: enemies to friends to lovers, fake adversity, getting together at a beach trip (usually in EVERY thai bl it happens halfway through!) some silly misunderstandings, faking fights and finally coming out all lovey-dovey. Beurk!!

The actors: none of them can act even a little bit, have zero chemistry with each other, some are cute (Meen, Bright, Song), the rest are ugly because they have been massacred by the hairdresser. At least they paid attention at workshops so their bedroom scenes were really long and they gave it all. And even that became boring and repetitive. Also, why are russian tourists playing english speaking businessmen(women)? The producers needed some western looking "actors" so they asked one of the numerous russians hiding in Thailand?

Cinematography was run of the mill though they did make an effort in creating dorm colour identities: one was red so everything was red and everyone was wearing red. The other blue...After an initial appreciation it became really cringe worthy!
And of course the comic sound effects! Please do away with those! Please! People are smart enough to understand what is going on without it being underlined by "funny" sound effects...

This is probably one of those dramas I will have trouble forgetting since it was so bad and I cannot believe I actually finished it.

Subs suck, but Story is good

The subs suck, they are a mess for the first half of the show, but with a little critical thinking you can get through it.

The story is nothing new but well executed, with a few sprinkles of cliche here and there, but it is rather nice than cringe. They are all young adults, new to love and serious relationships, so mistakes and dumb situations happen, but it stays realistic. Misunderstandings don't drag on and on, they talk it out.
The friend groups are great, they have their flaws but the love for each other is sincere and the support is amazing.

The actors did a really great job! The first few kisses and intimate scenes felt a little awkward, but it gets more natural with every new scene and the skinship continues once they got in a serious relationship. Not the typical "One and done" type, they are lovey dovey throughout the last few episodes and I ate it up! It was so refreshing to see a more realistic take on a newly formed relationship! There was no space between them when they talked, kissed or cuddled, no flinching back or eyes closed tightly when the other person wanted to kiss. It was awesome!

All in all I can recommend this show to everyone who loves a soft story with natural growth of characters and relationships, it is rather mature for its setting and the actors did a really great job! Every one of them! I really enjoyed this show and binged it in one day.... The ending was "perfect" ;) (You'll get it when you finish it ^^)

Пазл соберется не сразу.

Понравилось. Есть много вопросов, но постепенно о них забываешь. Выдержать первый эпизод, дальше начинать потихоньку собирать пазл. Первое что привлекает внимание - это нет жесткой агрессии и вражды между героями. Университет. Главное в моем пазле, что это все инженеры. И довольно интересная система распределения студентов по общежитиям по их сильным, лучшим качествам. Правда, я возможно упустила, что там с женским общежитием. Посмотрела первый эпизод и думала дальше, даже из-за красивых (реально красивых по мужски, все без исключения мужчины) парней. Показалось по детски сюжет будет. В прошлом, многие лакорны были завязаны на главной паре - их бывшие и так далее, тут нам дают сладость в виде других пар и постоянное ведение их по сюжету. Это очень здорово. Интерес к этому лакорну еще в том, что зрителя еще многим моментам учат. И добавки переводчиков "мы покупаем воздух" можно разделить 50_50, т.к мы должны понимать, что есть люди зависимые от чистого воздуха. Ведь правда лучше комфортная маска, чем килограммы лекарств. Понравилось постоянный физический добрый контакт, дружба без выгоды и поддержка, любящие поддерживающие родители, ну и конечно 10 эпизод и эта сцена. Это было слишком жарко ребят, ну и фантазия покинула голову, что вы там творили. лол.
что смущало: этот чертов первый эпизод. Что за ....творился на отборе, да еще и с раздеванием? Настолько запутанные истории прошлого и отношений всех пар, что пока пазл соберешь, уже и забыл ху из ху. Что же по актерам. Ну дебютантов у нас в главных двое Это Сэйнт (Мин) и Босс (Pipe) , но играли превосходно. Главная пара - ребята играют не первый раз и поэтому, могу сказать, что актерская школа только улучшилась. Красиво, эмоционально. Сюжет прост на самом деле, но милый. Без перемоток в этом лакорне, так как последние от Таиланда я что-то не воспринимаю нормально и мотаю. Концовка хорошая. я довольна.

Loved it, but we need better subtitles

I'll start by saying that the subtitles in this suck! But like, a lot. They aren't always at the right time, and often they are mixed with the following lines. And the pronouns are more wrong than right...
That said (you probably think I hated this, well not at all), I suggest you to watch it!

Unlike what usually happens in some BLs (great start and poor ending), here it was the opposite. The idea was good, the first episodes not that much. But once the romance part starts, everything improves!
We have jerk villains, imperfect boyfriends and realistic couples. And that touch of drama that keeps the comedy going.

This show was a little gem to me :)
I really liked it! You should give it a chance.
And the main couple, EarthBank ❤️ is currently one of my favourite couples!

The classic Enemies to lovers wattpad but make it softer and fluffier.

okay to start off, you need to get past ep.1 to fully enjoy the show (i did skip some scenes). the subs are rough but i (personally) don't mind.

story: so the premise of this is that in the uni (thats all engineering course btw) have this unique system of dorm segregation, by identifying their personal strengths, and of course our main leads gets on a different dorms and again, classic romantic troupe, the dorm that they are respectively in are enemies (like the archi-engi type of fued lmao)
so our leads, Ai and Songkhram. they kinda hit it off right on the first ep but our dear boy songkhram decided to tease Ai (to probably get reactions from ai, which he totally gets from ai) thus cementing their little childish fued. then time jumps to 3rd year college ( i think? i lowkey forgot) Ai and Songkhram are now the dorm presidents of the dorm that they are in (respectively, dorm 2 and dorm 3). so yea childish fueds are still ongoing but like i said, early on ai and songkhram liked eo. so it doesnt come as a surprise that Ai secretly likes songkhram and songkhram on the other hand tries to do the let me see if you get jealous, so that i can know if you like too coz im hella in love with you move (dudes liked eo for 3 long years, damn) then fate being the comedic and torturous kween that she is, keeps on making the two dorm work together and that entails the two presidents be constantly on each others orbit/necks, thus feelings gets out of hand and songkhram took those oppurtunity to win Ai and they become the cutest boyfies.



okay, so plot wise. some parts didnt made sense, like with meen and pipe. that arc just slapped me with nc and then boom they're tgt (im blaming the bad subs but also pipe) and the "angst" looks so forced like ai randomly getting emotional? he just snapped at songkhram, its out of his character tbh. but if you would look at the whole structure of the story it was okay. like it delivered fluff and the most adorable main cp, in my books its a win for me already. the cp somehow selled to me that their dating and as someone who have been liking that person for 3 long years, they deserve to be those disgustingly sweet boyfies and i as a third wheel must endure the suffering. i was smiling at their cuteness (also laughing along for some crazy schemes bullshit they were doing)

some people would probably go off that this drama is boring or something along those lines but lemme tell you something, this series doesnt need the 100% capacity of your braincells, its a feel good drama that you can enjoy, cringe at and to pass time. go in with this drama 0 expectations amd just enjoy the fluffy ride.

p.s. quick admiration for Ai's actor, damn that man has the cutest smile ?and also songkram and pipe's actor too myghad such eye candies.

a good kind of mid ig

It’s not a show to be taken seriously in my opinion. If you’re having an off day, and you just want to quickly binge something light hearted that doesn’t require a lot of concentration, this is for you. It’s just a goofy little show that you’ve probably seen a million times before but for some reason doesn’t feel redundant either. The main characters have really nice smiles so that’s another plus. We definitely could have done away with some of side characters and some of the plot fillers and made the show about 7 or 8 episodes. All in all, it’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It’s just mid.

Only watch on a binge!

I watched this BL on a 2-session binge and I believe thats the only way to watch this and still have a nice time doing so. The first episode threw me off bc of the weird double time jump. The first scene is never followed-up. Where is this helpful President everyone needs every morning?? The fact that Songkhram has liked from the very beginning should have been explored more. He never even tells Ai, except when showing the bracelet in the last ep. The firts 2 kisses were horribly bad. What on earth were they doing? The kisses after that were much better. Both leads act reasonably well, especially Bank. The chemistry is spotty, sometimes its there, sometimes its not. The NC scene feels very genuine and sweet.
The side couples get quite a lot of attention and thats nice, especially for Pipe/Meen. To top it all off, we end with another double timejump. i HATE THOSE, EVEN IF DONE OK ok?
Overall a nice BL to binge and not waste too much time on. Nice, nothing special.

The great casting was ruined by a confusing writing

For those wondering, this serie has a *happy ending* for all three couples.

First of all, don't get me wrong, I like this series. Maybe because the last episode really redeemed the whole story, but also the casting carried the entire series.

Overall impression I had while watching is that this serie is so damn funny without needing to. The cliches they did as something serious just made me laugh out loud. I feel somewhat embarrassed for them. Hahaha

However, most parts of the story is very very confusing. For instance, if you watch, Ai's attitude in ep 7 was soo weird for me. He just got mad without reason. And while watching, I kept shouting "explain, explain the damn reason" but he didn't. All throughout the series, I exclaimed "why". Why did that happen? Why what's wrong with him? Etc. The writing of the story didnt made sense which is kind of sad as there are points in the whole series that they could've focused on and made the series a bit more unique than the rest.

For instance, I liked the startup plot. Though a bit technical, I felt that it was a good kind of plot. I am still laughing at those face mask design and the "stark enterprise" ????

I also liked the dorm division plot. Though the way they did the examination was a bit weird for me.

Now, the casting.
Okay, I know I said that the casting carried the plot, but take this with a grain of salt. They did not act as if they had 10 years experience off their back, but they did acted in love. Though it was ruined horribly by the writing. Urgh. One example is that, they had this fabulous BrightMeen couple with a lot of hidden angst all over the years, and they just shortened their story with an abrupt kissing. Like wth.

The actors are very very handsome. There was one episode, I think it was ep 6, where Songkhram looked a lot like Cha Eun Woo. My gosh. Ai also looked like a love child of My tooth your love. And Meen, my meen is soo damn cute. He looks like Saint's little brother.

Lastly, what I mean when the last episode redeemed the whole series is because this series has one of the best realistic portrayals of love making and it is at episode 10 folks. My gosh they had a full blown 10 minutes. I think. I was lost in awe. This NC scenes is now written to my top 10, together with Love in the Air, Ghost house Ghost host, The warp effect and others.


In conclusion, there is something to love in this series but it was ruined by the horrible writing. Though don't let it stop you from watching this. It may not be a masterpiece, but it will be a tad bit memorable. I hope hope hope that the give the SongkhranAi and BrightMeen casts a better story to act in. Such a waste of explosive compatibility.

semplice, da guardare giusto per il gusto di farlo anche perchè non è troppo problematica

Penso sia una bella serie, nulla di troppo speciale ma è bella, semplice e carina.
Devo essere sincera e dire che il primo episodio mi ha lasciato molto perplessa, non mi era piaciuto, mi sembrava più qualcosa di imbarazzante e cringe ma posso dirvi che basta superarlo e tutto diventa bello e tollerabile, una bella storia.
Figa la cosa della divisione dei dormitori anche se a parer mio inutile, non serve a molto se non a creare una forte divisione tra i gruppi, nel singolo ogni gruppo è molto unito ma messi tutti assieme è una casino in cui ognuno contrasta l'altro quindi è stato buono che abbiano sfatato sta regola non scritta aprendo la mente a un rapporto più pacifico.

Di per sè penso che la storia generale sia carina: amici che si conoscono, ognuno con un modo di essere differente e con i suoi amori; è una storia di crescita comune, assieme + sviluppo di sentimenti che si sono trasformati in relazioni.
Le coppie in questione sono Ai+Songkhram, Tor+Nano, Meen+Pipe.

La coppia Ai+Songkhram, quindi quella principale, mi è piaciuta molto. Dopo una cotta infinita mi ha fatto piacere che abbiano messo apposto la testa e in chiaro i loro sentimenti. Dopo essersi messi assieme sono diventati una coppia molto dolce e desiderosa di conoscersi e supportarsi, ho amato come si siano sempre supportati.

La coppia Tor+Nano è sinceramente la mia prefe perchè veramente li ho amati e shippati sin dall'inizio, erano così carini proprio per il loro carattere e il fatto che per Tor fosse la prima volta in una relazione con un ragazzo e per Nano la prima volta da fidanzato in generale (in particolare ho visto come molto reale la scena in cui volevano fare cose ma si sono bloccati perchè uno non aveva mai avuto una relazione e quindi non sapeva come si facesse, mentre l'altro non l'aveva mai fatto con un ragazzo e quindi non sapeva che step ci fosse dopo. Alla fine mi ha fatto morire come Tor tutto serio abbia mostrato quel video a Nano dicendo che voleva fare tutto con lui. che carini dai).

Poi la coppia Meen +Pipe, sinceramente ho trovato Meen molto...troppo sottone, tutti quegli anni passati ad amarlo unilatelarmente non voglio proprio immaginare quel che ha provato, e ho trovato Pipe una dannata red flag, ceh non si sapeva decidere, amava Meen, ne era geloso, ma allo stesso tempo metteva a tacere sti sentimenti dicendo di amare Ai. Hanno litigato pesantemente e solo allora si è deciso a non fare più il coglione. Vabbè alla fine loro ugualmente carini.

In generale, ho amato la madre di Ai che subito aveva capito e apprezzato la loro relazione (mi ha fatto morire quando disse a Songkhram "Ti piace Ai?" la prima volta che lo conobbe, già aveva capito tutto), ho poi odiato il cugino di Ai, dico io Ai fa tutto per te, sta dalla tua parte e te fai solo guai, non solo i guai dei debiti ma pure quella stronzata del progetto, un vero bambino.

Infine posso dire che questa è una serie molto carina, nulla di troppo, è il giusto, poi non annoia tanto, è piacevole.

So unexpectedly good I binge-watched it in one go

I feel like I am being really generous but I can't help it, I watched this since I needed to kill some time and omg IT WAS GOOD. The main couple was so perfect. I LOVED how sweet they were later on when they started dating. So so sweet. I loved every scene they had together. They portrayed the romance so well. And the NC scene in the last episode? I did not expect that. I thought they would give us a kiss on the bed and that would be it. but THANK GOD they give us this. So delicious. Enemies to lovers will never get old for me. Definitely gonna watch it again. Hopefully with a proper subtitles.

I adore it.

At the beginning I was a little confused on what's happening, and they could have filmed that in a clearer way, but the deeper into the series I went, the more I fell in love with it.

The chemistry between the couples were hot and made me smile throughout ☺. The story was well written and I loved the fact that the couple stayed together through circumstances that are usually an excuse to break couples a part in most bl series...

The ending was the sweetest, and I must say I enjoyed this series a lot.

The subtitles need a LOT of work though, I hòe they get fixed soon, as its a big shame.
