In one word: wow.

To be very clear: I did not think I'd like this series when I started watching it. It just seemed a bit weird to me, since it's not usual to see a series made by two countries. I was not excited for it...
but the more I watched, the more I started to like it. The story moved very pleasantly and it wasn't boring. It got me a little confused for like three episodes, because I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then it hit me and I got so excited to see where it would lead. And it did not dissapoint.
The end absolutely destroyed me. I got very into the series and the ending was not something I expected to come, even though there were hints about it looking back. I cried so, so much when it ended! Honestly I'm pretty emotional, but I did not expect to cry that much :DD
I loved every single thing about this drama and I still do! I think that it's very well made, the actors did a very good job portraying their characters and the storyline was addicting. The cinematography is very good and I think it is well directed. The OST is also really good and it matches the whole vibe nicely. I especially liked the chemistry between the main characters - it didn't feel forced or fake and I adored them the whole time. Also the supporting characters were very good!

Literally a must watch in my opinion and I love this series with my heart. It remains one of my favourites

Story (+Production) - It was an interesting concept/plot to have 2 characters (2 actors) from 2 different countries. However, i felt annoyed that the Production team decided to make the characters explained that both of them understands each other but not speaking each other's language. It really was super awkward. This is not realistic at all.

Acting/Cast - The 2 lead actors definitely have acting skills but i don't feel the connection between the two, like a couple wanting each other kind of chemistry. I am not sure if is the character's characteristic problem or the actors bond outside the show is really bad.

Rewatch Value - I assume this falls under Korean BL more even with the two languages thing going on. There are so many Korean BL out there, this one just not great enough to entice me to watch it again.

Sad but you know it’s coming…

I knew I shouldn’t have watched this so soon after this week’s episodes from Pit Babe, Last Twilight, and the Sign… seriously.

It was good and the story and acting kept me watching, even though the ending was going to be bittersweet because it couldn’t last. Some people mention how some parts where the ghosts interacted with the real world didn’t make sense but I understand it as the focus being on the unfinished business and the relationships than the semantics of afterlife interactions with the living.

There was character development and growth, love and closure.

The only part that made me go huh is the very last part where Peach is standing in the closed cafe and Yoon Oh’s bracelet drops then the kettle steams… I thought he was supposed to have moved on. Was it one last message of comfort and goodbye from him to Peach?

In any event, I enjoyed it. It’s sad in many ways so the likelihood of me rewatching is low which is why I rated that part lower. Who wants to be purposefully sad?

I have something to say

I really liked the show I liked the plot it was new, sad and unpredictable

there were six main issues here:

1- Jimmy's acting : I seen him on why r U and he was so much better I literally have no idea what happened. the other guy is just so much better and it gets obvious who's stealing the spotlight even though Jimmy is technically the lead.

2- the lack of details: the plot is good and I don't think I have seen a bl with the same topic before but that doesn't mean they can slack off on details and think the plot will make it up. the fact that he could hold stuff and play sometimes but other times he can't is questionable and the fact that when his bracelet fell as if he didn't have a whole outfit on. I'll keep an open mind with the last detail though because I feel like I'm nitpicking.

3- the mix of languages were really uncalled for it was interesting but really unnecessary they could have just brought a Thai actor who can speak both instead of Jimmy's broken Korean.

4- they could have used more screen time for him and his mother relationship instead of the joke called police investigation. it was really bad I get that this wasn't a crime show but please work alittle bit .

5- Jimmy's acting

6- what was the last scene supposed to be? I'm not think wowww SEASON two? im just thinking wtf are those writers f up again?

now that I said all of that I'm just being harsh, the show was nice and I cried. I don't normally cry in bls but this one had nice actors. I think it was overall cute and worth binging. it's so much better than some of the shows that everyone watched.

Even though it is a Korean project, the creators also used two Thais - the stars of the SaifahZon series, and I acknowledge this international cooperation. Yoon and Peach have feelings for each other, but in my opinion it wasn't really the main and supporting plot axis of the whole story, because there is an effort to find out how what happened to Yoon actually happened. Therefore, the relationship between the two main actors may not sound so strong, because above all the character played by Jimmy is written as it is. I also admire how the actors managed the language barrier and I would also like to highlight the well-played character of the "mother".

It’s heartbreaking storyline, prepare to cry a lot

This is my honest review on this BL drama.

I can’t do sad storylines/endings but the cast was just so perfect I couldn’t drop it either so I was contemplating if I should watch the 2nd episode and continue to torture my heart, well after some thoughts I decided I will give it a try with slight hope of getting a happy ending (even tho I knew that’s just my own fantasy).

Well as expected ever since episode 2 I was in constant tears, my heart was aching and I regretted continuing it because I already knew how it’s gonna end. I couldn’t even enjoy some of the sweet moments because I kept thinking of the ending. I am a crybaby when it comes to sadness.

Some would say it’s not particularly sad neither happy ending but my honest opinion is this is very much SAD ending. I would only recommend this to people whose heart can take it.

WHEN YOU FIND YOUR TRUE LOVE, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

I am really a fond of dramas with stories that can bring emotions out of me. I also find this very special because of the use of two different languages (Thai and Korean). This is a story of two young friends, Peach who is a Thai and Yoon Oh who is a Korean.

I'm not used to watch Thai dramas before because I found myself uncomfortable from their way of speaking (I am apologizing to all Thai who reads this review). Sorry, I still needed to adjust with the language barrier. But after watching the entire series, I'm glad that I can now be able to watch Thai dramas that what my friends recommend. I can now focus to their stories and emotions without being bothered by unnecessary factors.

The actors really did a fantastic job. The two main leads have good chemistry.

I also feel full of emotions everytime they added the background music. They knew when to bring out the emotions of the viewers. I cried. I laughed. I got angry. I felt loved and cherished.

I may not give it a 100% rewatch value due to my own preference. I only give high ratings for rewatch value to dramas that can give me life lessons in my normal life.

Overall, this is a must-watch drama. I hope you have time watching this beautiful piece. This is in my top 10 for me out of 20+ BL dramas I have watched so far.

I haven't cried this much since UWMA

“Peach of Time” is as much a kdrama as it is a BL; in fact I suggest it is unique in being a hybrid and a very good one at that. It owes much to first-class performances from two of its leads.

A ghost story might seem an unusual choice for the first Thai-Korean BL production to reach our screens; even more so as the story is not treated as a comedy. Had it done so, BL fans might have been as forgiving and accepting as they were with other ghost BLs such as “Something in my room” (2022), “He’s Coming to Me” (2019), “HiStory 1: My Hero” (2017), “So Much In Love” (2020). Dark subject matter, on the other hand, can generate negative reactions from fans who prefer their BL series to have happy endings.

The bad reviews of “Peach of Time” make me think there must be a lot of BL fans who have studied and read “Basic Behavioural Elements of Ghosts” or who have done courses on “Profiles & Studies of the Psychology of Ghosts in Human Interaction” (School of SE Asian Cultural Studies, 2020-2022). (I’m kidding - there are no such books or courses. But you get my meaning I hope.)

“Peach of Time” is not concerned with ghosts, and neither, I believe, need be the audience. Well, not actual ghosts (if you pardon the oxymoron). The ghost element is both a metaphor and a dramatic device; and the ghosts that feature large in “Peach of Time” are, as Mario describes them in Ep.3, the “ghosts” of resentment, or sadness, the emotional issues in our lives that we don’t address and leave unresolved, between ourselves and those we love, and that linger, like ghosts that hover and surround our lives. Hence, the series' main focus is in its title: time, and whether we make the most of it.

The drama plays out amidst a group of characters whose time together has ended prematurely by an unforeseen event. Each of the main protagonists, Jimmy Karn Kritsanaphan as Peach, Choi Jae Hyun as Yoon Oh (the two nascent lovers), and Jung Ae Yun as Dr Moon, Yoon Oh’s mother, react differently to the shock & suddenness of tragedy. How and whether they each come to terms with this is the real determinant of whether this series can be said to have a happy ending or not.

Cultural differences and similarities feature large in the drama. Peach is Thai and on this, his first trip to Korea, reacts at once with his traditional Thai view of parental regard to what he regards as Yoon Oh’s disrespect towards his mother; Jimmy plays these scenes with the diffidence and reserve familiar to all of us from so many Thai BL’s. Dr Moon, for her part, forgets her duty of care towards her one and only son; Jung Ae Yun gives expression to the high standards of achievement Korean parents expect of their children and the disappointment that her own success is not mirrored in her child. Yoon Oh anticipates his mother’s rejection of his expected repeat failure of the highly competitive Korean CSTAT exams. Choi Jae Hyun’s finely nuanced performance shimmers with the pressure and resentment young Koreans face today towards succeeding throughout their entire youth and early adult lives.

The background story of Yoon Oh’s mother, a practising cardiothoracic surgeon, who knowing the Thai language and has taught it to her son, helps explain Yoon Oh’s choice of Thailand for his holiday/runaway location, where he and Peach meet each other. Peach begins to study Korean to be able to speak with his friend as their relationship progresses. Those who quibble about the actors speaking in one language and being answered in another have, I would suggest, had no experience of how people in multicultural households communicate with each other. It was common, for instance, in my family and migrant community, for people to do the same as the characters in this show, and even to swap from one language to another mid-conversation, if not to do so even mid-sentence. Keep in mind that exchanging basic conversation, does not equate to being fluent; later we see Peach mix up the labels of the cakes in the cafe because he cannot read the Korean script correctly.

Being a kdrama, the plot carries with it a criminal-detective mystery component surrounding the event around which this story revolves. And added, also, is the story of a possible medical malpractice issue against Yoon Oh’s mother. There is a further subplot involving Tommy Sittichok Pueakpoolpol as Mario, a long lingering ghost at the resort owned by the Moon family. As is the way with kdrama, these concurrent plot lines simultaneously prolong the drama’s timelines while also - and this is a feature lacking in early low-budget Thai BLs - broaden the supporting world of characters beyond the immediate love interest leads.

The show loses its focus somewhat towards the end in striving to wrap up all its loose ends, but its conclusion rests in the safe hands of its principal leads, especially Choi Jae Hyun. At one point, Peach searches for the unhappy Yoon Oh; he realises Yoon Oh has voluntarily put himself inside his “naughty cupboard”, a relic of his upbringing, imposed or self-created we do not know. When Peach prises open the cupboard door, he observes that Yoon Oh has decorated the inside walls of the cupboard with photos of himself and his mother from happier childhood days. Peach’s face registers shock, but Choi Jae Hyun, without a word, through his eyes alone, speaks to us in this act of self-punishment, of his sadness and shame at what he perceives as his failure as a son.

Peach seems at first to be a slight character, as slight as his figure; but he is pivotal to the emotional journey of the main characters. Faced at first with learning about the tragic event which happened shortly before his arrival, he is confronted with having to make a decision for which he has no prior experience; but drawing on his own nature, his fondness for Yoon Oh and his Thai cultural background, he stays to do what he can to help Yoon Oh and his mother through their turmoil. Gradually, even Mario recognises in Peach an inner power towards love and reconciliation, which, to Mario’s surprise, aids him also.

Yeu Jeong Seob’s 5-year vigil for his daughter Eun Bin, in a coma, is another relationship under pressure and in distress.

The two investigative police detectives are also at odds with each other over the case; the senior officer feels for Dr Moon and the loss of her only child while the junior officer bristles at the investigation continuing and is content to wrap it up without further effort, even to the point of lying to his senior about obtaining critical video evidence. And at Dr Moon’s hospital, the administrator has been maintaining an approach solely to avoid a lawsuit against them by Yeu Jeong Seob, without any consideration for the father’s loss. Dr Moon, in turn, just as Peach has helped her, helps the grieving father by drawing a parallel between her reluctance to accept her son’s fate. This is a turning point in the Yoon Oh story; in their mutual grief, both parents recognise their mutual humanity. The father, in turn, reports to the police detectives a critical fact he had withheld.

Ignore the negative comments: “Peach of Time” is good and worth watching. But while it presents as a BL, it is more than that and what it sets out to do, it does very well. Audiences should approach it for what it is rather than what they hope it will be but isn’t.

Not as Morbid

Finally got around to watching this series, August 2022 to be exact and pleasantly surprised that the story as not as morbid as I had feared.

The story is about two boys from two different countries coming together for final goodbyes. Its short, its bitter sweet and pleasant to watch. At the bottom of it all, it is indeed about loss and the process of grief after sudden and unexpected passing. So leaning towards the sad, and if you are so inclined, you may shed one or two tears. But if you are looking for something with a simple storyline, beautiful people who are easy on the eye, then this is your BL.

Speaking of BL, the lost story is story with heavy subtleness. Perhaps this is where we see strng conservatism towards the subject of sexual minorities. There are NO strong sexual themes, hardly any kissing and the romance is mild at best. With some imagination, its possible to see some chemistry, but not strong at all. The boys have expressive faces and able to communicate some affection but that is where that ends.

I would recommend the series for some lazy watching, but not if you’re looking for some strong passion.

Hallow and Empty like Yoon Oh's body

Honestly this show falls completely flat for me. It had me hooked in the first couple of episodes when we realize that the MC Peach's friend had passed shortly before he came to visit said friend. It was completely unexpected and had the potential to develop a really unique and heartfelt story. But unlike Ghost House, Ghost House, this show really tries to come for the gut way too early. If I remember correctly it's not even the third episode and we already have a scene of the mother crying and somber music starts to play. In universe, I understand that we are viewing a grieving mother whose just recently lost her child. But as a viewer it felt as if the show was trying so hard to make us cry alongside her ourselves. Which for me at least, was basically impossible since we had only know Yoon Oh for ten to twenty minutes at least. And half of his scenes were of him fighting with his mother.

Which he was somehow able to do despite being dead and his mother being unable to see him? Which brings me to my next point. Jimmy's character, Peach despite being the only character to be able to see and interact with Yoon Oh directly. Has absolutely no chemistry with him. Just another aspect of the show that falls flat on its face.

I honestly wanted to drop this show so bad because of its boring story and uninteresting romance, but because I try to complete every BL I see I struggled through it. And now that I have I could honestly say I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone. The only real positive I can say about this show is its production value. So if your in the mood to look at something cinematic and pretty, and completely turn off your brain so that way you have zero expectations walking in, then yeah. You might like Peach of Time.

How this going

I really recomended this one for you who want ask.
But you will really need a tissue. The story was good, and loved it. The cinematografy was great too, but they take that like a spring movie, and really light warm. If you said this drama light, i said yes and not.
Yes cause they try to not make a problem to big,
Not, cause there dark side too, but i think not really dark,

The act, really good. But maybe kinda confusing and weird to hear 2 languange here. You will still hear the 2 main lead speak with diffrent languange, but i think that not a problem cause i think the both of language kinda suitable and not destroy your mood to watch, but make you thibk that cute.

The music, was good. But idk why still can't give 10.

HIGHLY RECOMENDED "TISSUE" FOR WATCH THIS.

This just ep 3, and i already cry for few times. TTvTT
