Most Wholesome Slice-of-Life Ever
The first season of Hospital Playlist was a hit, and I'm glad to say that so is the second season. The second season is a continuation of the first season, and I waited for it every single week, and every single week it was absolutely worth it. Nothing much changed this season except for some of the secondary characters, and in the middle, there is an essential time skip.
It started off with my all-time favorite couple Wintergraden getting together and let me tell you, THEY ARE SO CUTEEEE. I LEVITATED AND THEIR MOMENTS. There were no misunderstandings, dramatics, or anything. They had amazing communication, cute moments, and the best song ever called To You. To You has both their names in the song (Jeongwon and Gyeoul) and it's sung so emotionally. I can really feel the love. IF YOU CAN'T TELL ALREADY, I LOVEEEEEEEEE THIS COUPLE.
We also got other couples like the GOMGOM couple, that is Chu Minha and Seokhyung. Then the Bidulgi couple (Iksun and Junwan) and Iksong couple (Ikjun and Songhwa). I'm not gonna tell y'all whether they get together or not or if they break up or not cus those are MAJOR spoilers but I guarantee you, you will enjoy watching their ups and down,
Like last season, you will see day to day life of doctors and different patients. As much as I loved this season, I felt a little disconnected from some of the patients, unlike last season. But there were some patients (like the mother who waited for a heart for her child) that I very vividly remember and cried for.
Also unpopular opinion: the music this season was better. The band practices were sort of random but the songs were absolute *chefs kiss* ALSO SEVENTEEN COVERS A SONG HERE. It's called "Is it still beautiful" and it's a masterpiece.
Overall the vibes were very chill and relaxing. I was anxious at every trailer but nothing bad ever happened. When life was too hectic, this was still humane and calming. It's in touch with the people, and I'm so glad I watched it. The only reason I deducted 0.5 is for the finale. I am underwhelmed and slightly disappointed by it. But other than that. It's still amazing.
I would 100% recommend it to you.
Happy watching!
PS: Some episodes are nearly 2 hours long. It's really a treat,

Even though I liked this much, I think 2 seasons will be enough
I appreciate many things in Hospital playlist overall:- Slightly new approach to the hospital world
- No overdramatic but realistic, facts and acts are performed right and terms have been explained to the wiewers
- Great character development
- No same background songs playing in every moment, songs has thought well and introduces also retro music (i.e. Songolmae's Met you by chance; also reminds me about Reply 1988♥️).
- No fighting for power in high-hierarcy or business section, more concentrated to real everyday hospital world.
- We heard also other than Ik-Jun singing which also brought variability to the music
- Even there were couple familiar actors casted, I also found many new great actors; thus, my "plan to watch" -list just goes on 😂
I've already started to rewatch from season 1, and me rewatching is _rare_ ! However, story started repeat itself little bit, so I think 2 seasons will be enough. Overall, it's good skill that producers know when to end. But I have no bad words for this series! 고마ㅝ요 TvN드라마 !!

I can't talk too much because of the spoilers, so I'll try to sum up this as much I can. The first season was full of possibilities and everything was new, so we came to episode 12 expecting many things that were solved there. Some plots were left open, but I think the development in the first half of season two wasn't so well done.
Some stories really made me frustrated, and I'll just mention the characters and tools. The time gap is a common tool in dramas, and although I'm not a big fan of it, I understand the need. But in season two I thought the time gap was a little confusing. There's no clear warning of the gap (only when Uju talks about the new semester) but we have almost two years passing in this season. I just realize this when Song Hwa (Jeon Mi Do) sings and they say "wow, I can't believe this time already passed." I understand that is obvious that time pass, but the way how was retracted made the progress of some characters imperceptible.
The first one affected by this was Yang Suk Hyung (Kim Dae Myung). I love the way how his personality was introverted and they started to develop it, but the way how we saw it, was like he just changed by nothing. Again, I know real life is like this, we change day-by-day, little steps, but if you are doing something to the audience, we need to see interactions that justify the change. Kim Jun Wan (Jung Kyung Ho) and his relationship was another low point to me. After seeing the relation of the two of them in the first season, I really didn't swallow the way how they (mostly her) did things here.
But Song Hwa and Ik Jun (Jo Jung Suk) was my highlight. I love the way how everything works for them and loved the conclusion. Yes, I'm saying conclusion because I really expected that they don't create a third season. I love Hospital Playlist, but when we have an amazing season, the expectation for the next one is always higher, and this is why many show end up losing the audience. The first season was so amazing that my expectations were equally amazing. I love season two, but not even close to the first one. My feeling is like they could make an amazing drama with 16 or 20 episodes and end everything on season one.
Because of that, I'll put this as an amazing drama (★ ★ ★ ★ ★★ ★ ★ ★ ) and of course, I'll recommend it to everyone.
P.s.: The OST is a show that we can also recommend separately. I like the OST from season two better :D

Could it have ended better?
I watched this season expecting to treat it like how I treated the first season, just meh. I enjoyed the storyline of the first season but this second season made me actually wait for each week and look forward to the progress of the character's lives. The problem (for me) with the first season was that only two love stories were really highlighted, everyone else had someone we shipped them with but it did not seem to be going anywhere. I liked how this season really wrapped everything up nicely although it would have been nicer to see a wedding with at least one couple (again this is just my preference).

A drama that will inspire and comfort you..
I love it!!The story is simple, not complicated but very realistic and inspiring. The doctors and patients relationships are on a different level. The struggles of those who work in a hospitals, not only doctors but also nurses and other hospital staff, are greatly portrayed and they showed how we should appreciate all their hard work.
The stories of patients are heart warming. The families and each individual showed that all of us, great people with power and even ordinary people, have struggles and different stories to tell.
I love their friendship. I love how five of them managed to be friends for a long time. I want to be part the same group where they genuinely love and care for each other. Their meals together are the best. The coffees and stories they shared are wonderful.
Looking forward to another season if ever the Director and Writer changed their mind and renew.

ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME SOLACE EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT!!!
With all the things that are happening around us these past few months, watching this drama made me feel like it was a breath of fresh air. 100% a drama that is just pure. No BS. No villain. No Politics. Just plain old genuine love, passion, and friendship. When I first watched this drama, I was expecting a lot of heavy emotions. I was thinking to myself who do I think the villain is, what will be the big twist here? But luckily to my surprise, there was none. Everyone and everything just seemed ordinary and the more I watched the more I realized that this is not your typical medical drama that is full of well drama.
First and foremost, I really love love love the main leads here. I love their friendship, their love lines, their personalities. Everything. I love their chemistries with each other. I also love how the drama did not just focus on them but rather to a lot of side stories of other characters as well. May it be the story of a supporting role or of a patient that we will only get to see once.
I also love how it was written and directed overall. Seriously, the director and the writer should just keep on producing more quality dramas out there. I love how some of the scenes feel relatable to me. It's like the writernim is putting words into my mouth. She is saying the things I personally cannot say out loud to my loved ones. I don't know why but the writer and director both make me feel like they understand me because they are portraying some scenes that feels close to my heart.
Honestly, I'm sorry for my lousy review as I just finished the last ep a few minutes ago and my thoughts are still all over the place. But I can write a 10 page essay on what are the things I loved about this drama. But to cut the long story short, basically it made me feel like it was home. For me, it honestly felt like after a busy work week I get a chance to spend time with my friends one night per week as a breather. It made me laugh a lot, it made me cry but most importantly it gave me solace. This drama proved that you don't have to have a lot of episodes to be considered a TOP TIER drama nor do you have to follow the conventional rule of releasing 2 eps per week. Honestly, 1.30hour per week x 12eps x 2 seasons was enough. Anything more than that would be a blessing that we would all be thankful for.
Hands down to the cast and crew!!!!!! One of the best dramas of 2021 that I will surely miss!!!!
Now unto the next one!

For me a 10/10 rating drama.
This drama is love . Every character was really great .This drama is not just about the lead character its about the entire hospital crew & their patient. Nurse , doctor, resident, students , intern & a lot of patients & their family's story are showed here .I love the doctors who learn from mistakes and rejoice over small achievements and nurses who do their best to provide medical care and share joy and sorrow with the guardians. Also their patience with their patient & their family members.
There wasn't any intense scene from the operation . as I thought I might have to skip some scene but I didn't .
This drama is filled with great music, jokes, life lessons, friendship, food and love. The friendship between those 5 is what I always wanted in my life but never got . and the 5 of them got their pair too (^///^) I thought one of them may stay single forever or there might be a triangle but relief there wasn't .
Also I wasn't really expecting Suk Hyung and Min Ha to kiss (oh my eyes q(≧▽≦q) ) I was so shocked & happy at the same time like I mean what its happen wahhhh ^0^ I felt like screaming ( ⓛ ω ⓛ *)
My favorite character was Ik Jun he is so funny & caring at the same time . Everybody needs a friend like him, I will miss him also his son Woo Ju also his jokes also the way he looks at Song Hwa also the way Song Hwa smiles at his jokes.
I am really sad that this wonderful drama came to an end and even sadder that there wouldn't be a third season as I like to watch them. I love this ot5 character & will look forward to their future project .

A heart-warming continuation of season 1
Since season 1 ended I was highly anticipating season 2. I think the first season came out at such a great time because it was when I had a break from school, as the coronavirus rates were growing. At that time I waited for each episode with excitement and I had no doubts that I wouldn't love every ep. Without knowing many of us became very attached to this drama. For season 2 I was even more thrilled to watch the episodes and they did not dissapoint. Firstly, I liked how they continued directly from the night of the last episode of season 1 and didn't just skip. Also I don't know if I've just gotten more emotional but nearly every episode touched my heart and made me cry. I am envious of the characters and i wish i am seen to people like i see the characters in this drama. We had an absolute heartbreak with the bidulgi couple but i am glad we saw the hug at the end. Most of our ships sailed. Gomgom couple really caught my eyes this season and ofcoursemy heart melted seeing wintergarden ikjun and songhwa together. Again it was fun watching the side characters. The music was also well done. I am willing to wait for season 3 i do not care how long it takes because i will be there for it. If you haven't watched HP yet i definitely recommend you watch it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Emocjonalna huśtawka
Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung So, Kim Dea Myung i Jeon Mi Do to obecnie moja topowa piątka aktorów.
Kupidyn miłości wielu bohaterów, budzi ciepło i radość w każdym momencie dramy.
Ogólnie - nie omińcie tej dramy. Obejrzyjcie i dajcie się ponieść emocjom.

A drama filled with everything that our lives have. :)
How to start writing a review for a drama that has a special place in my heart? I have followed through the first season very passionately and I never missed any episodes for 2nd season too. It didn't felt like there was divergence in story or unnecessary plot build ups. Everything flowed smoothly like a river. The second season begins where the first season ends and you honestly I can't differentiate between the two seasons.Talking about the casts, although everyone was mature in first season, they became more understanding in the second season. All 5 of them found love of their life, a stable pace for life and happiness. Even the side casts were perfectly portrayed like Jae hak, the interns, Mina, Gyeol, Uju as well as every patient.
The interesting thing about this drama is that every time a new patient is shown, they bring out new stories, new perspective towards life and new teachings as to how different people see different situations. As a medical student, this drama taught me the most important thing that is, to look towards the cases from the patient's perspective and to understand their thoughts and behaviors even if you think that it is irrational.
About the casts, I felt like I was the 6th member of the squad. I saw each one of them grow, experience happiness, sadness and heartbreaks. As they juggle their surgeries and rounds, they also have time for their friends, family and themselves. The 99 squad is really different from every other dramas. They truly know each other so well that they can read through each other. They also have their own personal space that they do not want to share and the others do not try to force them to share too. That is something I found really interesting, because even though they know each other very well, they respect each others personal boundaries too. I would really hope for a 3rd season, but I also understand that the casts would like to focus on their other solo projects too.
If you want to comfort yourself, then just imagine that there is a Song hwa, Ikjun, Jun wan, Andrea and Seok hyung continuing their stories in Yulje and every five of them being happy with their loved ones. Just imagine them being in Yulje and saving their patients and having band practices. People who have been with them from the first season has definitely grown attachment to their characters, so if you ever feel like you miss them, just imagine that they are somewhere in Seoul continuing their stories.

A little slower
The comforting vibes from Part 1 definitely carry over into this season, and I enjoy how consistent it all is: the support between our main leads is still very strong, and we get to see the conclusion to all the romance arcs — particularly Iksong, which is the main one I'd been looking forward to from the beginning.Story-wise, however, I did feel like this season was a little slower and more difficult to get through, for the simple fact that the side stories just aren't as strong or interesting. I'm not sure if there were too many subplots for one-off characters, but somehow the 2 hour runtime for each episode really felt long, whereas I felt like the pacing in Part 1 was perfect.
It's still a nice, comforting watch — it's refreshing that all our leads are competent and communicative — and I wouldn't miss out on this if you've watched Part 1 already, but it did just drag a teeny bit.

Life~Pain~Romance~Joy~Food~Song~Healing ~⚕️~ Drama That Resonates Again
Grey's Anatomy, Take Your Scalpel & Go Home, Now. K-Band-Aid is In The HOWSE-pitalI put off watching this highly rated show for a while because I found the name unappealing. Well, what's in a name?
This series follows 5 friends from college that eventually end up working at the same hospital in Seoul. Now that they are all back in Seoul, they resurrect their college band by working on 1 song a month, to ensure they take time to be together. Whether the above pre-screening sounds like a solid basis for a hospital drama or not, it's merely the setting. What matters is the relationships, particularly as embodied in the writer/director/actors. In any case, HP has stitched together an outstanding fellowship of talent. Stick with the regimen for 3 episodes, at least, before determining its effectiveness. Ep1 gets off to a slow start and there are several scenes that won't be understandable until later. Once things get rolling they never slow down again.
HP is about friendship first, but also caring+respect for others, love, parents & children, music, and lots and lots of #food. The hospital scenes, including staff dynamics and operating room procedures, feel realistic. The characters are a delight.
Here's a shout-out to Jo Jung-Suk. I fell in love with him when watching the divine Oh My Ghost-10. He delivers another slam dunk with his performance as Dr. Lee Ik-jun. Everyone does a great job.
((((⌚))))
With season 2 now watched, the diagnosis is that their practice in season 1 rendered season 2 even #more effective. It continues with the uplifting treatment of the subjects, and it's a resounding hit. Picking up right where it left off, there's a seamless connection to season 1.
Early in season 2 there's a ping-pong tourney. Cardio-Thoracic Sx was looking good - until they had to concede in order to respond to an emergency. At least half of the matches seemed to be decided that way. Instead of mic drops, we see paddle drops. We get to hear other docs gossip about the great Lee Ik-jun: 'I heard Dr Lee was in the ping-pong Club in college. In fact, I heard he was in EVERY club in college. He was even in the magic club.' Comfortably confident, Ik-jun tells Song-hwa: "I'll return victorious before this tea gets cold." (Nope. Nuclear Medicine runs the tables). His defeat is commemorated with these words: "Tasting Defeat and savoring victory: These are the things that allow us to grow."
Let's take a moment to review the primary protagonists.
In season 2, Lee Ik-jun continues to play Dr Cupid. While Ju-wan (the cardiologist) is worried about Ik-jun discovering whom he's dating. We must wonder: Why worry? How could Ik-jun deny anybody love? Watch to see. He has time to play cupid, and also cover for the lunch lady because he's so brilliant that everything is easy for him. Besides, he's friends with the lunch lady on social media, and her son had a parole hearing. The only thing that takes Ik-jun more time than other docs is walking through the hospital. That's because the highly loquacious Ik-jun is friends with everybody - security guards, aides, custodians, scattered guardians... Just everybody.
Ah, the unparalleled and misnamed SONG-hwa. She can do everything: neurosurgery, research, office visits, lectures,,, one of her biggest timetakers is her mentoring of any and all residents in their educational, professional, and even personal lives. She can do everything but sing. She sings anyway, with masses of verve. She gets pleasure out of little things, like rain. She dances at church and eats like a Sumo wrestler. Utterly delightful, she's the heartbeat of the gang, excepting the band.
Seok-hyung lost a little weight and he looks great in season 2. He declined to take over his father's business and continues to rise to near celebrity popularity as an Ob/Gyn, despite his modest and somewhat shy persona. Patients respond to his gentle and caring manner. One office visit depicts amazing ultrasound footage of a 10 week old fetus wiggling its arms and legs. The couple's reaction is precious. Still focused on Seok-hyung, his mother remains unable to resist attempts to try to control him. She wants grandchildren. Now. She tells him: ‘I don't care who it is. Just get married.’
Dr. Chu continues to try and insert herself into Seok-hyung's life. In season 2 he's neither encouraging nor rejecting her efforts. Dr. Chu is not easily daunted. In fact, she's downright inspirational. Openly pursuing Seok-hyung, she often makes him laugh. Dr. Chu runs into Seok-hyung's mother - literally. Mom was so offended that she even told Rosa she doesn't care whom Seok-hyung marries, as long as it isn't #HER!, speaking of Dr. Chu.
Ju-wan is unchanged in season 2, and his relationship with Dr. Do, whom he is training, continues to improve. We get to meet Dr. Do's wife in season 2.
The pediatrician, Dr. Ahn (Andrea/Jeong-won) treads the course set in season 1. There's not a lot to say w/o spoiling some surprises. He complains that his siblings are worried about mom, but as they can't help "right now", they bombard him with calls. In rich irony he laments: "Why did they enter the church, really?"
We see the return of almost all the side characters: Parents, siblings, other doctors, residents, as well as new first years. They all continue to round out the show well.
Uju wants to go camping, so Ik-jun finally leaves his beloved city life for a weekend, because his son is his world. Hmmm. Who else loves ⛺❔️
Gy-eol is looking relaxed and even pretty, especially with her hair down. We learn more about her in S2.
As a side note, there's a realistic basis for the show. The positive connection between surgeons and music has actually been studied. The participants currently playing a musical instrument, at the time of the study, performed the laparoscopic tasks significantly faster than those who did not. They determined that visuo-spatial abilities used in laparoscopic performance clearly may be enhanced for individuals playing a musical instrument. It seems obvious that finger strength and dexterity should also be positively affected.
Even though HP is a top-ten show
in all of Korea's history, there are currently no plans for a season 3. The writer has completed the originally scripted storyline. That is the current status, but there's actually numerous ways to continue the drama. For now, it's a wrap. If you are one that dreads waiting for another season as it it's a multistage invasive treatment plan, it's safe to go forward with the HP procedure now, and hope for a recurrence in the future.

Suggested Age 12& up, with a caveat: One unmarried couple is shown in bed together with enough skin showing to infer what's unmistakably been going on. Any parents who object to that, be advised. The counter-balance is the realistic medical setting, along with reinforcement of good character.
