I just love it so much.

I’ve rewatched this drama many times and this is my first time giving a review on it.

I used to be a little upset when it was still airing because I thought everything was so slow, and it actually is but, I can’t be so negative about it. I still enjoyed it a lot anyway.

I just want to say that I love every single person around the main leads, except the cheater (you know who if you watched it, not giving more detailed spoilers).

I got to know Wang Rui Chang thanks to this drama and I completely fell in love with him. I’ve got the biggest crush on him since last year, LOL.

I don’t know what to say, I just loved every part of this drama. The colors, the music, the "aesthetic" (?), the characters, the actors + actresses, the plot, the development, the good, sad, happy moments... Just everything.

I have watched a few coming of age Chinese dramas and I have loved all of them but no otherhas hit me as hard as this one, probably because I can relate more to most of the characters in here, very personal.

This is my comfort Chinese drama, definitely.

OH MY GOD ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

I have no words. This drama definitely comes in my top 3 k/cdramas I've watched. I understand for some people who have seen it, that it was just a cliche school drama but I absolutely loved it, probably because I love watching high school and youth themed dramas.
I loved all the characters and how the story tells us the reality of growing up and how life simply goes on.
The last episode had me in tears but not because it was sad, but because *I* was sad that it was over and simply how heartwarming the ending is.
Please watch. You will not be disappointed if you like the genres of romance, comedy and high school.

I need special episode

This is the first time i really want to scream i need special ep for explanation...

Like ChineseDramaFan I also think is one of the best youth dramas I have ever watched. This drama not focus only about love relationship like many youth drama. But also about the struggle in deciding life choice, like pick the best subject for us to study in university.

What i like:
+ I really enjoy our main lead friendship relationship. They really one true friend, that like having no hiding in everything.
+ Love to see the growth in Xia Xiao Ju (XJ), from one timid teen girl into firm adult woman.
+ Love to see Lu Shi Yi (SY) attitude with XJ, even though he often tease her but when he has to apologize he won't hestitate to do so & when he has to protect /help her, he also will gonna do so with all of his power.
+ Love the relationship between Cheng Lang (CL) & XJ. They're the best brother one can hope for each other. They're quite mature for their age, so even when XJ jealous CL, that never really effect their relationship toward each other.
+ Quite like the surprise in the end when Qiu Le Tao married with someone we never expected.

But this drama also lack very very important missing scene that makes me want to scream, 没了就这样..... (roughly translated... Only like this the end... Oh come on.... I need more explanation please...). They have missed the explanation for the moment SY went abroad... What happen there with him, why he cut all the connection with XJ, what his actual relationship with Shen Dou... OMG it's really frustated, usually there's special ep to explain this kind of plot, but this drama don't have it... Quite disappointed actually... :( & If i were XJ, actually maybe i'll not gonna that easy to forgive SY.

Overall: except that disappointed ending everything really one on the best youth drama out there.

How thoughtful ML towards FL

I don't usually enjoy high school series because the plot always similar. When in comes to high school love story, there will always have a kind guy, a naughty guy and cheerful girl. Where the story will go to love triangle.... pattern? I guess.

I found this coincidentally on tiktok and I just decide to watch it on the spot because I felt bored atm. Most of the time when I watch Chinese series, i don't watch it till the end. Because I could predict what will happen next. When the story goes over cringy, I immediately dropped it. And I also thought the same when I start to watch this. I thought, "I might drop it at the half of the episodes." Because that's what I do to cdrama.

HOWEVER, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I COULD WATCH IT TILL THE END. Surprisingly, there's not much cringe part in this series. A LOT OF IT IS CUTE!!! Damn! It just soo cute ?? I am totally in love with the way ML TAKE ARE OF THE FL. Like, every single thing without missed, he take care of the girl. OANXIJAHXJ. I can't ??

I'm really afraid about how the story will take turns. It's my first time I can't predict what is going on. In my mind I was like, maybe this will be like thiss? But no, it doesn't!! Each of the episodes, I truly enjoyed it.

I'm gonna say, the most fav line in this series is "We've known each other for years and we've lost too much time. But the time and distance made me confirm my feelings for her." BABE LIKE WHAT!!! I AM SOO DONE !

Anyway, praise to the actors because they played it REALLY TOTALLY WELL!! I imagined the ML will be kind of awkward, but nahh.. he plays it really good. It DEFINITELY LOOKS NATURAL. AND HE'S FUNNY! His character is unpredictable, it just soo cute.

Lastly, to those who don't really enjoy too much of cringe, love the type of 'tom and jerry' friendships to lovers, and love the naughty guy becomes ML, I RECOMMEND THIS TO YOU DUDE!!!

this drama should be awarded 1st for this year

i watched this drama a month ago and this is the best drama i have watched in this year. totally a realistic story written out and shown. It shows the reality and mistakes of life and regrets. This drama is so simple yet shows every ups and downs of life that we can relate to ourselves. Totally recommend you this drama. also i was crying in mess while watching the last episode and some parts were funny too.
the way cheng lang looked at lin you was fulll of love . after many years when he saw linyo he was just as innocent and the soft guy and the way he starred at lin you was so adorable and love can be seen from his eyes but a regret too.

One of my all time favorite dramas

I keep coming back to this, it all just flows so naturally and beautifully! Love the rhythm and specially the characters development. The actors did an AMAZING job, and it wouldn't be the same without them.

Although I do like the story, the reason this drama is so special to me is that you really believe in all relationships and personalities. They grow up and change, but all changes are just natural and you care about them.

Ok, I'm gonna say it: Lu Shi Yi made this drama my fav. I fell for him like I did for Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice - slowly but strongly. The actor gives so much personality and truth you cannot not like him.

Of course, not everything is perfect. In my rewatches I skip parts from the two other couples, which I really couldn't care less, but the first time I watched it made perfect sense for them to exist, and they did make the story overall seem more realistic (you'll know why when you watch it. - DO WATCH IT).

Enjoyable Youth drama mixing Friendship and Love

The drama tells the journey of a band of friends from last year of high school to University and work life for some of them.

1/ STORY:
The story is nice and a good balance between friendship and love. The unrequited love part is the most important anyway and it is a little hard to take but the good thing is that no matter how disappointed the characters can be regarding their Love situtation, they don't forget to be understanding and to support their friends and help them go through difficult and tough moments. All the episodes go at a good pace and make the drama a roller coaster of emotions. It is really heartwarming and fun and emotional.

The ending is disappointing though. It feels rushed and the writers mismanaged the time. They left 2episode to tell the events of them meeting again. They basically threw the two leads together in a maelstom of situations not cute nor very enjoyable and closed the story with a far-fetched cranky manner. Happy ending anyway.

2/ CHARACTERS:
- Lu Shi Yi : a troublemaker at first but grows into a reliable friend and he is allways true to his feelings. It is like he never doubted them and he was always there for the FL.
- Xia Xiao Ju : Pathetic at times but adorable in her efforts to pursue her love. Loved her bickering with the ML. She is lucky he is a patient guy because most guys would have never waited so long for her.
- Cheng Lang : Mr perfect but he has a sad part. He is as great judgement in friendship as he has bad judgement in Love.
- Lin You : She could have been the worst and she is quite annoying in her Love relationships but she is also honest in friendship. She has an interesting trajectory.
- Qiu Le Tao : Looks the plain and bland girl at first but it is all the contrary. She would not be given the stick easily. Loved how things ended for her.
- Huang Jun: Great friend. Bad Lover. Didn't like how he hid things and found excuses.
- Bao Xiang Xiang : chubby dumb guy turned into a boss.
Supporting characters were fun for most of them.

3/ OST:
It was OK. Nothing annoying. Just well adapted to the scenes.

4/ REWATCH WALUE:
It was better than expected and the drama is a roller coster of emotions. But the love triangles last very long. It would prevent people to rewatch.

5/ OVERALL:
It was good. Each episode is fast paced entertaining and you always want to know what happens next. The ending is too rushed and lacklustre because we don't see what sparkle finally put them together. It like they all schemed against the FL so she has to make her choice. But ok, it is a good watch.

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS COMING OF AGE TOGETHER

This is such a great show set in the 90s.
Production wise- clothing and set designs were done well. The nostalgia value was through the roof for me.

The cast was UGH!!! so fracking good. Some of the acting from a non FL was a bit annoying but bearable. I appreciated the character developments and how identifiable the stores were. Everyone's had a crush, everyone's been there for a friend, everyone's had a breakup, and hopefully everyone has or will find a circle of friends that grow and graduate life with you .

All your emotions will be stirred- its not happy all the time, which I truly appreciated.
I don't like inputting spoilers- worth the watch for sure!

Last mention- I'm such a sucker for Richards but c'mon.... he really delivers here. My heart flutters everytime he smiles LOL

Not for me

College life stretched too much ,one is pursuing other in whole drama . Middle of the drama three couples had been shown ,one got their love story other two were struggling for their love . Then the one who became couple ,due to misunderstanding or you can say miscommunication or you can say not give much attention to the relationship and they separated but male didn't give up ,now second lead story started and first leads still friend . The second leads got separated as one had to fulfill their dream , second last episode first lead love story got the meaning and very end they got together . Other than this the same student life trouble to choosing their field had been shown.
Nothing new ,bored drama
But acting was good.
