fun and silly first half, angsty second half, with a happy ending
I have been putting off starting this drama because I find the airing schedule off-putting. I am the type to prefer to binge a series so waiting months with only one episode a week (maybe) does not make it on my list of enjoyable waits. But after seeing enough random shorts of this show I ended up giving it a try and boy has it left an impression. At least the first half has.Lets start with the premise of this which is not something I have seen yet and is actually captured in such a fun and entertaining way. The main female lead and her whole family has a curse that when they kiss someone for the first time they will turn into a dog within a minute and every night after they will be a dog from midnight to 6am unless they are kissed by that same person in dog form to break the curse. Unfortunately for Hea Na her first kiss accidentally went to someone that is terrified of dogs. I thoroughly enjoy Hea Na's character; she is acted so well with her thoughtful silliness. The family closeness and support is also one of my favorite things about this drama. The side characters have been just as much fun to watch as the main couple.
Along with the main couple you have another teacher that as a viewer you can't quite figure out if he is friend or foe which leaves this air of mystery around him.The main plot surrounds the family secret but that secret is also presented in yet another reincarnated lovers tale. This has become quite popular lately and I can't say that I particularly enjoy it here. There are several other drama's in the last few months alone with the same side plot so it does not feel new or exciting in this drama. This side plot does add levity to the drama which in a way feels like it drags it down a bit from the buoyant hilarity that has carried the drama to its half way point.
The broadcasting schedule also really detracts from this drama. Once released in its entirety it will probably have a good rating but at this rate it is easy to get annoyed and fatigued with the wait. It has also has a tonal shift now as we approach the last 5 episodes and the show tackles the big conflict surrounding the drama. I will come back to find out what happens.
Update: now that the drama is fully released I think it worth a watch. The chemistry between the leads is great, the story mostly is a fun ride. I do not love the angsty section toward the end mostly because I do not feel like the villian was pulled off well. His character was great in the beginning but honestly felt creepy toward the end and the reasoning for the whole thing felt underwhelming. Still the main couple keeps you interested in wanting to see what happens. The last 5 episodes are so boring though and I had a harder time getting through those than the first half.

But Cha Eun-woo cannot act to save his life. Whenever he is on screen, I feel like I'm watching a brick wall, albeit a pretty and decorative brick wall with nice eyebrows. It doesn't matter whether he is running around with a sword slicing people up or putting on glasses and teaching, he looks like all he is thinking of is his skin care regime.

Doggy Dog World
Cha Eun Woo, a young and exceptionally handsome K-pop idol, proved his acting prowess in this engaging drama. I was charmed by his character, especially the humor derived from his fear of dogs, a sentiment I could relate to, particularly when it comes to large dogs. His portrayal resonated with me, showcasing a side I never expected from him. The authenticity of his acting, especially during the kissing scenes, left a lasting impression. While it was acting, the chemistry felt remarkably genuine.Park Gyu Young, although cute and commendable in her performance, seemed to lack complete chemistry with Cha Eun Woo, leaving a slight gap in their connection for me.
The adorable dogs added a delightful touch to the narrative, with one support actor delivering convincing barking sounds. The overall set and storyline were praiseworthy. My gratitude extends to the cast, writers, and producers for their contributions to making this KDrama an enjoyable experience.

Amazing transformation of Park GyuYoung to a cute beautiful character of HaeNa
Falling in love to HaeNa...right now i cant miss my day of life without seeing her,
I have watched the series 7x now,
I like most of the characters in the series,
many funny scenes, still laughing when i rewatch it no matter what,
only some few parts of the story is a bit boring,
however i still cant accept a male wearing lipstick,

Woof!! Its great!! :)) <3 <3
I wanted to watch a k drama that was filled with comedy, slice of life, romance, emotional scenes, good visuals and lastly friendship. It was hard to find a drama which satisfied all these criteria. But one fine afternoon i found this drama called "A Good Day To Be a Dog". And low and behold this is one of best k dramas that i have ever witnessed. This k drama is about a woman named Han Hae Na(Park Gyu Young), who works as a homeroom teacher and her family , due to one of their ancestors they have been cursed for generations. The curse causes her family, when they kiss someone, to turn into a dog at midnight for 6 hours. Afterwards, they revert back to their normal appearance. From the first episode itself i was already so into the storyline. Long story short, there are two male teachers in the school which Hae Na works in. Her first crush was Lee Bo Gyeom(Lee Hyun Woo) the History teacher. She then falls for Jin Seo Won(Cha Eun Woo) the Maths teacher. I wont say much because i want you to watch the drama and feel the happiness, sadness and excitement which i felt when i watched the drama. PS: This drama has such good visuals and the actors go so well together. All of the actors and actresses, the directors, producers, staff members and writers who took so much effort in making this drama a very successful one, Thank you so much!! Jukahaeyo!! Hwaiting!!!!!!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Deeply disappointing drama
This drama was fun enough at first, when dealing with the curse and getting to a point where our leads fall for each other, but the second half was a slog. The only saving grace of this show is that closet kiss. I was absolutely not expecting Cha Eun Woo to kiss like that! One of the best kisses I’ve ever seen in a kdrama. Though I need to point out that Park Gyu Young was phoning it in for her kisses in this drama. She had our ML do all the work, which is disappointing if you’ve seen her work in Dali And Cocky Prince.
Anyway, the major problem for me with this drama is that both leads aren’t that interesting. By the second half I had a hard time caring about them despite how much drama was thrown their way. The past life stuff was not interesting to me. The antagonist’s plan felt half-baked.
Part of this is frankly due to the nature of the source material. A lot of webtoons imo feature these idealized, wish-fulfillment romances that don’t make for great television. They also often get heavy-handed with a certain progressive bent so as to have characters that are completely “unproblematic”. It’s boring. And while I enjoy a sweet romance, these stories tend to have the substance of cotton candy. The leads are two nice people who only have eyes for each other. That’s nice, but it doesn’t make for very compelling TV, particularly if you’ve watched a bunch of other kdramas with similarly inoffensive characters. They get together and proceed to have the standard by-the-numbers fluffy kdrama romance where two adults act like teenagers who are scandalized simply by the thought of spending time alone with the person they’re with.
Maybe I’m over fluffy romcoms for a bit, but I was watching The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract and while that drama had its problems with some characterization issues and plot, in the end I found it far more enjoyable despite also being a fairly fluffy watch purely on the strength of the leads, who were simply more dynamic.

Cute and adorable with a past
I rarely watch Korean shows, this would be my 2nd one.I find this series very cute and adorable. I happened to stumble onto a trailer of it while browsing my Viki. Firstly, I find the show very cute and adorable with alot of funny and humorous parts. Not extremely familiar with Korean actors/actresses, but I have to say the 1st Male Lead and the Female Lead couple are extremely good together, be it in serious situations or out of the ordinary to the funny situations - not forgetting the mini romance scenes here and there. The 2nd Male Lead, the mysterious person from the get go, I feel that he definitely played his role really well - right up till the end. Overall, all the casts did a really good job bringing this series to life. I also love all the variety of dogs shown in the series.
The songs are beautiful, majority of them. I especially love the song that was sung at the wedding - if anyone knows the title, do let me know (thanks!).
All in all, it is a good watch, if you find the synopsis interesting and catches your interest. As for rewatch value, you would have to decide on your own. I definitely am watching it a 2nd round (or more).

Cute Romcom
I watched it first during broadcast but because of the awful schedule, it was really a torture. But when I watched it for the 2nd time (even a 3rd), I really enjoyed it. I read the manhwa and the leads did great! They give me butterflies. There were changes from the manhwa to the drama and I love most of them except for the mountain god's story. Well, I think the story itself was ok but the drama became dragging when it hit that part. Lots of repeated scenes. But other than that, I love the whole story. It was cute, funny, sweet and romantic.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A Good Day to be a Reviewer
(That title was supposed to be clever and funny though I think I'm probably the only person who will laugh at it hehe)I just finished watching this one for the second time so obviously it has a high rewatchability rating from me, but that is so because it rates highly in my book in every way--except for the music. The music isn't bad, I just kinda got tired of hearing the same couple of songs over and over again.
They overetended the show, imo, using unnecessary (and needlessly long) recaps on every episode and memory montages in places they weren't really called for--inluding a whole extra 124-minute clip-show episode added on at the end. Plus the Uncles's story was silly and also unnecessary, imo. Other than those things, though, it was great!
Cute, sweet, funny, and heartwarming for the first 3/4ths or so when the Tragic Obstacle to Overcome comes along. After that, it's pretty angsty, but not unwatchably so, and you get a happy ending.
And best of all--Cha Eun Woo knows how to kiss a girl! Wow! XD

i know they needed to explain their background story, but it wasn't necessary at all to spend like 4 episodes to explain this whole "past" plot. the episodes were also very short, since they used a lot of flashbacks in it to fill out the episode. but I also laughed a lot with this drama (especially with yul) and giggled a lot because of the main couple, their chemistry is top tier and their kisses are the best i ever seen.
i highly recommend watching this, it might be better since all episodes are aired. i will pretend this last episodes didn't exist and just remember how cute, funny & sweet this drama was.

cute romcom with massive plot holes
I liked it. It was a bit weird and had a ton of massive plot holes, the villain was totally just the villain for the sake of having a villain, but yeah, it was cute. If you can forgive those things for a cute romcom then this is the one for you! TBH I avoided this one for a while because after reading the description I thought, I do not want to watch a romance between a dog and human LMAO but it's not really like that at all. Glad I gave it a chance.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
