O Rei dos Dramas (2012)

King of Dramas (2012) - the drama itself is a refreshing topic for me, seeing the behind the scenes in how to make a drama. I was amaze and it was interesting to me, and see how meticulous it is to form a drama. Though there are a lot of quite unbelievable parts, especially on the conflicts part, I must say they put the extreme problems that a drama could encounter. Main leads are a hit, good acting, great characters as well. Siwon shined in this drama for me as well, I know it is his usual roles but I like this role of his. I find the ending or latter parts boring especially at first it was really appealing to me as a watcher. Still, it was a nice overall.

One surprise after another

This is a really different genre from the dramas I usually watch, so I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. However, I did have mixed feelings about how this drama ended. Honestly, I think the ending was very fitting and in line with the rest of the drama’s vibe, and I’m glad we didn’t go through with the miracle deus ex machina. On the other hand, though, I’m kind of unsatisfied with the antagonist plotline — President Oh was such a huge part of the beginning and his storyline just sort of dropped off and was left open-ended. I appreciated the more natural, internal obstacles though.

I was also not a huge fan of that epilogue style ending — I felt like some scenes for it like the second ship and Nam’s father could have progressed more naturally within the drama’s regular timeline instead of tacking it on at the end. For the main plot with Anthony + Writer Lee though, I was okay with it and I liked how it was neither tragic nor overly cotton-candy.

Overall though, I still really enjoyed watching this one! Anthony was undoubtedly frustrating at times but he definitely grew on me, and I really liked the main female lead. The ship grew on me as well. A really enjoyable watch nevertheless, and the best part was the way the drama flipped so many cliches on us and yet went ahead with some really common drama tropes, so we never knew what to expect.

I will also say that the OST was much more of a bop than I expected :)

With a good actor and actress, my first thought this drama will be great to watch. I like Siwon acting.

The first ep is interesting to watch until the 4 episode i'm start hating Oh Jin-Wan's (Jeong Man-Sik). I know he has a grudge over Anthony he revenge is so not fair. Every episode when Anthony start to feel relax there will be a problem arise. I'm kind of sick of it. The way the problem is solve is way to fast. It only takes 1 episode.

The music is find. The most fun part of this drama is Siwon part. How hilarious he is. We get to see a different acting of Siwon. I like his acting in the drama. When I watch Siwon part in the drama, it make me laugh a lot. Siwon oppa DAEBAK..!
