possibly my favourite episode so far

this episode was an absolute masterpiece. it felt so much like an ending and I was wondering how there could be 3 more episodes, and then... the ending. the rest of the episode was also awesome, I must have cried quietly for most of the last third of the ep, this found family makes me really emotional, I love them.

At this point, the Big Reveal didn't catch…

At this point, the Big Reveal didn't catch me by surprise. With all the hinting, it was either going to be the patient or the nurse. Since the patient vanished and the nurse acted in such a manner, I fully expected it to be her.

Now that we get this reveal, the only disappointing part about it is that she's a legit killer & psycho, but has been working, it seems, for years at a psychiatric hospital, that didn't properly vet its employees. The idea that someone that psycho can hold it in and not once show any whackjob signs is, well to put is simply, slim and none. That's not including the injures she suffered, and how she escaped the situation, to get plastic surgery, etc.

So, the idea that she's the one is a little disappointing and/or weak writing because the plausibility factor of it all is just, not good.

contains spoilers

Ko’s heart is going to break knowing her mom killed Sang and Gang’s mom. I am not ready for that. If she is “empty can” then she wouldn’t worry but she isn’t and it is going t hurt her bad. If we were in Gang’s position what would we do? Would we tell her or not? We also would probably fee guilt like this isn’t it? Juri and CEO ship is sailing haha!I like the fact that Ko actually listens to advice like the grounding techniques which was taught to her by Gang she used it and now she listened to the friend and respected his words about no prying int Gang’s life. She knows when to listen to people and when not too and that is really nice. Yay! She is part of family and he is going to protect her life no matter who comes in yayay Damn head nurse! Are getting triggered by your own guilt of abandoning KO?Is that why you are speaking rudely to other nurse? Landlady is the best person ever. The way Sang described are you feeling shy and all the facial expression. It was spot on. This drama is full if golden words “A kiss is better than a fight”. We all got to frame he golden words spoken in this series. Loved the conversation between patient and Sang where they talk about trauma and overcoming it and finding door. Such simple but meaningful conversation. It broke my heart when I heard Sang saying he can’t draw facial expression and the integrity he has by saying he won’t copy expression from some card as he can’t claim it is his work. He knows about plagiarism and it speaks volume of his character and who he is as a person. Ko is an amazing boss. She understood his difficulty and told him a solution and gave a deadline so that he can work towards it. She did not get angry for his difficulty nor tell him that he is not good enough. That’s is really good. Ko’s golden words: who turn blind eye to abuser is worst than abuser. Hits the bull’s eyes. The friend is so nice too. But we don’t know enough about him. I want to know more about him. Friend is falling for ArtD haha! Oh, why did he tell to head nurse, why?!?!? Oh, dad’s confession and Ko’s telling about fairytale to Juri broke my heart. The trauma Ko had to endure to see her dad kill her mom and no one to take care of her as he had brain tumor. Did the mother escape and come to hospital where dad lives to take revenge? Looks like that. Isn’t it? I say this again, landlady is the best. I can’t see Ko cry or Sang cry or Gang cry. This is so heart breaking. Oh my god. Damn head nurse. Now father is gone, you can’t leave your daughter alone? What the hell?

The Actors on this show deserve all the awards!

Here I am once again raving about the acting on this show! This time I am going to talk about Oh Jung Se that plays Sang Tae. Honestly if he doesn't get all of the awards available in S.Korea it should be considered a crime! He is portraying Sang Tae with such sensitivity and respect but also so realistically. Even his fingers when he is standing to how he holds the pencil, everything is just on point! Also the scene where the patient is confronting her father was so emotional and gut-wrenching. That hug at the end was what really got me and I never cry on shows or movies (and when I say never, I mean NEVER)

The Calm Before the Storm

This just makes me nervous because I smiled way too much in this episode. It was almost quiet until it wasn't. To not spoil, lets say something I was expecting to happened finally revealed itself in this episode - however, the way it happened still blew me away. This drama really toys with one's heart in the worse-best way. It's beginning to feel like a lie that I can rate every episode so far a full 10 but each episode targets a different emotion and it's been doing it a little too well.

Episode 13 - The Father of Two Sisters (Spoilers included)

There has not been one episode of "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" that hasn't touched me emotionally. Episode 13 seemed to not only touch but live in a place of joy, sorrow, and horrifying truth. It's a revealing episode that sets the stage for the final three stories left to tell and for the first time in my life, I find myself hating butterflies. Go Moon Young's father is dying and the repercussions of people being bystanders and victims of abuse is laid front and center. I cheered when Go Moon Young neither forgave or visited her father prior to his last breath. I cried listening and watching the joy as she remembered her father reading her a fairy tale. Only once. Many things in our lifetime can be lost and found: money, vehicles, houses, and spouses can fade and reappear in a person's life . Two father's ignored their child's repeated cry and let them carry the weight of violent scars in their soul. I damned both characters to hell with no remorse whatsoever. At the end of the episode, the mother's face is revealed and Go Moon Young recognizes the butterfly clue and meaning left in Moon Sang Tae's mural. A battle for mental and probably physical survival will be needed and I hope / pray / plead with the writers to allow the newfound family peace and resolution. A very selfish request from me so I can let these character go, knowing they found a place of happiness.
