Just that it has EarthMix. That's similar. EM has their own aura. A village or authentic type of aura that nobody can compete with. So yeah, watch it people!
Spoilers
A soldier, a volunteer,
an arrogant soldier and a volunteer, the arrogant soldier is "in charge" if you call it that, of the volunteer, (at least he didn't act like he knows the teachers job better than the teacher does but, hey, he was still arrogant. They have that in common, if you didn't realise)
The whole war-zone thing-y, trouble-in-the-zone, soldier comes to help, conspiracies, I think
The whole, "I'm hot and I know it" vibe he has going on
The whole unequal ground love story
you know, figure the rest of it out

I don't know this wasn’t recommended previously. But both are about two rich people that are forced out of thier element to rural areas due to circumstances beyond thier control. Both come to accept their value with the help of their brooding, tall and protective love interests.
CLOY isn't a BL, but it matches 1000 stars with chemistry, storytelling and acting. Though, Captain Ri is a far superior love interest to Cheif Phupha.
But they're both incredible shows with a lot of heart and incredible characters. If you loved one, you'll definitely love the other.

- one character comes from a rich family (in 1000 stars it's Tian & in Sky in the Heart it's Kuafah)
- there is a medical emergency with the volunteer teacher

1000stars and Moonlight Chicken have a similar cast.
What they have in common is that we explore themes of miscommunication, lying, and trust. Mix is a rich kid who's helping out/working with Earth in both of these dramas in one way or another.

Both take place in unique but beautiful locations, and they both have couples with a very authentic and passionate type of love.
Thai BL series. In both, one of the main leads in the couple moves from Bangkok to Northeastern Thailand to escape from the city and meets the other lead. Both stories start after the death of a woman and the mystery/consequences surronding it. If you like green scenery and Isan dialect, you will like these 2,
It has the same concept about the heart transplant. The main lead Tian receives heart transplant from the female lead, because she died in a car crash. Then he felt guilty about her death and decided to go to her workplace (she was a volunteer teacher in a village) and he also becomes a teacher. There he meet the other male lead and he also starts to feel some of the female lead's feelings and eventually ends up with the male lead (It's a BL).
Thai BL Series with Earth and Mix as the main characters. Both shows share the same director and Khaotung plays a character in both as well.
Thai BL series. The setting is very similar! a village in Isaan region (Northeast Thailand) it's about a guy coming from the city to a village (in Hometown's embrace he's actually coming BACK) and finding love there. The OST is very alike also.
This is also a Thai Bl serie.
I love both series a lot. Both series give the viewer a similar feeling while watching, because they have a unique plot. The main characters don't have too much skin contact either, but a lot of emotions.
With both series I had to smile a lot because the characters are so special and many moments are sweet.
Both series deal with an important case that has to do with death. The series are similar in structure and transferred feelings.
There are lots of facial expressions.
I can recommend the series to anyone who liked "A tale of 1000 stars".

Ep 2 has the feel of 1000 stars feel, plot changes a little. In Hometown's Embrace a teacher from Bangkok came to Isaan to teach, with low pay who will want, however in ATOTS, it was Tian trying to fulfil the wishes of dead Torfun whom donated her heart to Tian, and encountered Phupha along the way. In Hometown's Embrace, we see Mek falls in love with the director's son. However there seems to have a love rival challenging their love.
It has a similar premise, though it is a romance between a man and a woman.
-heart transplant
-change in personality bc of their new heart
-gaining feelings for another person bc of their new heart
-rich/poor dichotomy
-rocky start, etc.
