This drama has to be one of my favourites! It has everything that you need. It feels so fulfilling.. Romace, comedy and friendship are the 3 aspects that I loved the most!
Its hard for me to watch long dramas but I finished this one in 2days >.< it seems short now that I have finished it. xD
I didn’t wanted it to end.

The support roles were done so nicely that FL’s acting seems a bit bland compared to them. I loved loved loved the teammates and their scenes were soo funny if you pay attention to their expressions, you’ll feel that they are not acting and all of it is just real!

The romance surpassed everything!! It’s difficult to explain because so many scenes touched my heart and gave me butterflies like no other. Simply awesome x 100

Overall this drama is a must watch! I have watched more than 75+ dramas but this one is soulful for me.
I really hope that they make a season 2.

That was a good one ?

SO first of all , I thank myself to be so patient until this drama finished airing, and not suffering while waiting for each episodes, its such good one
The first modern of Xukai , well done, nothing can say more about it , I watched few of his previous work : THE LEGENDS, ARSENAL MILITARY ACADEMY, and he is such young good looking guy with a very bright future in acting , and I still considering his work : Ancient Poetry love
For Cheng Xiao , i was knowing her since 2016 or before, and since the debut of WJSN , and she is such good pretty little girl with so much flexibility , and this my first watched work of her, not bad, sometimes , she can't deliver the emotions of the scenes, but she still have talent in acting
Anw I loved , I watched in 4 days , 31 episodes not bad, so much interesting for E-sports lovers as we'll be Aware Dear singles person all over the world including me , there is and there is so much sweet moments and sometimes even Cringy
And lets not forget about the little very handsome squad, there is some photos below, they are the best and nothing can be said ever, makes me remember the one in Go go squid ,and Hospital playlist , such strong friendship can bee seen , SO LOVELY?

MUST WATCH!! Extra sweet, I can’t handle it ?

I’m normally a fan of historical c-dramas and not modern ones, but I decided to give it a chance after I saw high ratings for this and I don’t regret it one bit!! I don’t enjoy watching most modern rom-com c-dramas because of how repetitive certain character types are and plots that are easily predictable. But THIS, this show was a very refreshing change. I absolutely love the chemistry between Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai. It’s so sweet and I’m jumping around everywhere because I can’t handle it ? I love the relationships that other characters have with each other too (esp. Lao Mao and Lao K hahaha) No toxic relationships among the supporting characters either, which makes this drama light and easy to watch. Easily one of the best shows of 2021! I already can’t wait for more episodes hehe

What a drama wahh...!! Just filled vth sweetness ,swag,fun,romance, bromance etc.... After a long tym i enjoyed a drama like this i think this is the first drama which made me crazy...just loved it...
ML(lu se cheng played by xu kai) is kinda handsome, cold and some well childish vth sweet heart and vth great gaming skills
FL(tong yao played by cheng xiao she a kpop idol and she is flexibility godess) is just adorable vth great skills,looks,aggressiveness,childish, and with great gaming skills ,beauty,independent and strong women, i just loved her unconditionally even though she is new to acting she nailed it...??
Let's go to storyline...
I just felt that the author did the great job each and every dialogue hits differently it's not at all totally dramatic ..!!story is realistic ...!! Story is well written and they did a great job while choosing cast
Romance between the leads is undenieble its osm....they have great chemistry hope to see both of them together in another drama and even second leads have great story and chemistry
When it comes to comedy i died vth laughing becoz of old k,old cat, god Ming, god yang ,xiao rui,ai jia,jin yang all these characters were well played they made the show and i bursted into laugh many times becoz of cheng ge and tong yao they are the sweet couple ever if u want to watch go for it surely u won't regret

Dont get influence by good reviews

The female is expressionless ,the drama is really overatted just because of handsome boys??there is actually nothing to watch ,worst drama ever...
I think love 020 is much better than this one, i watched so many dramas i found nothing good in this one.................................
I would like to recommend to you all to watch My Unicorn Girl ,Poisioned love & love between fairy and devil drama ...its the superb mind blowing drama

Gameplays are lesser than other shows

Don't worry, no spoilers here!

First of all, I wanna say that if you're the type who don't really know much about e-sports/ not 100% interested in it yet, prefers chill romance drama, filled with laughter, then this show is for you!

***For a e-sport watcher beginner, their gameplays are really much lesser compared to the other shows that I watch. I believe it's more understandable compared to the rest

This show is more of a chill slow romance, not those kind that would make you cry. But if you are looking for those hot, dramatic-filled ones then this isn't it. Honestly kissing scenes aren't very steamy LOL but not saying it's bad!

Cute show that kept me entertained to continue watching. Really sweet (love ML's cold character), just like that the other ppl said. But honestly in my opinion, I just feel like the there were minor details that were missed (based on acting) personally I feel like the FL isn't a very expressive person, be it facial expression or expressing her character which lead to my rating. Especially when interacting with ML. Maybe by so, their chemistry would be shown more. Not saying she is a bad actress tho! I do find it really cute whenever the couple interact. Xukai (ML) acted great too! And boy, I do think the supporting characters deserved a shout out. Even though they weren't the main character, they really acted their part. Chubby is really expressive! Lao K, you could definitely see the character development. And Lao Mao! You can see that he is hot tempered, yet a sensitive person.

Also, really love the second couple! (better kiss scenes lol) And my poor Jian Yang (2nd ML) really acted well! character development was there for each character.

As a person who plays a game similar to this, I would say that the way they act is quite spot on (as a gamer) so +1 for acting! I think if u understand the game, u might enjoy it more.

Personally prefers a more romantic show, steamy kisses, or at least with an interesting plot! And a great chemistry of course. So instead of a chill drama, I prefer watching others xD

Another ordinary piece

At first, I dropped this drama but then my friend was playing the drama on TV, so I was just watching along. The only part to this whole drama which I really like is how they play out the gaming scenes. Each game battle seemed to really get the audience immersed, curious as to how the game progressed between two battling teams.

When it comes to drama like this, I do look forward to seeing more teamwork and the bond between the team members as compared to the romance line. Cheng Xiao is a better actress than expected but it's pretty obvious that she is still very new to the acting scene. I like the way she portray her role, this cutesy while tough and stubborn female gamer, but I do think there's a lot of room for improvement. There are many times when we watch good dramas, we can't help but feel with the characters in the drama because they eyes can portray the feelings so well and the facial expressions are so real. Cheng Xiao, in my opinion, is quite far from that.

Xu Kai's role on the other hand is quite the stereotype. This indifferent captain who's good at everything, ending up falling for the female lead. There are many parts in the story where I wish there were a bit more depth instead of putting the lead characters together, team winning the championship in the end and call it a day.

Overall it's a pretty lighthearted drama. Think it's something pretty good to watch when you want to kill time. However, won't really call it impressive.

Bad Casting for female lead….

Honestly speaking I really loved the story. The main leads were interesting and I was rooting for them the entire time. The female lead was a strong and nice character and the male lead was dreamy.
The supporting characters were pretty good and I was actually quite interested in their story lines.
But everything at each every scene was ruined by the actresses lack of acting skills. When she was happy because they won something, when she is crying because she was physically or emotionally hurt, or when she was worried or scared, not a single one of those moment did I feel what they tried to portray through the storyline. Sadly because of the acting skills, specifically the actress, was extremely lacking I didn't enjoy it much.
I love Xu Kai, he is amazing but at every scene that they were together as a couple I felt he is portraying some emotion while she shows nothing which really pulls me out of the story.
P.S. Sorry if I offended anyone. This is just my personal experience and opinion.

Into the E-S[ort Universe

I think overall this was not a bad series. There was a lot to like about this, great cast, fantastic genre and a really good storyline.

Having said that there was also quite a few issues that really had me scratching my head as I did not understand what the purpose was. Like the conflict between Cat and K, like what was that about?? It came out of left field with no build up and then boom just like that it was resolved and as a viewer we were never made aware of what actually happened. Also the episode where everyone was just randomly crying also made no sense. These are just two examples of many. I think it was more to do with the editing that cut important scenes as I am sure it would have covered it otherwise.

If I were to compare this series with King's Avatar and Love Scenery I would say that it takes third place as the other two did really outstanding jobs with the whole character development of all the leads and support cast.

I would however recommend that people watch this since it was fun and light and full of gooey moments that had me cringing in all the right ways.

Perfectly heartwarming, fluffy, adorable, funny

If you want a wholesome modern romance, this is pretty much the best it gets.

Starting with my favorite part — the main ship. I just love the bickering couple dynamic, where the FL and ML always teased and fought with each other, but you could always tell they could handle each other and it was in good fun. They were always there for each other when things got serious. As always, they each had their own backstories and obstacles, and they're smart, strong and independent people — sometimes to a fault — but at the end of the day, they were so realistic and I loved how they grew on each other and grew together. Of course, the jealous scenes are there in abundance on both sides, and they're both funny and satisfying to watch.

In terms of them as individual characters, I also just loved how their individual stories weaved into how they cared for each other. The ML was independent and hard-headed as a team leader should be, but also dealt with the burden of it. The FL was strong and stubborn and a badass when it came to gaming but she also never lost her femininity and the parts about sexism in the gaming industry were actually really well explained.

The friendships were also undoubtedly my second favorite part. It really felt like all the teams had their own identity and their own friendships within the team. The repertoire between teammates was so fun to watch, especially in ZGDX where each supporting character had their own personalities, hobbies, speaking styles, and backstories. I really appreciated seeing different family situations and everyday conflicts that different characters had to deal with, and even though time-wise it might have not been long, I really felt like it helped me get to know them and care about them.

The themes of how celebrities are human too, how professional gamers have their own lives too, was really well shown in a multitude of ways, both through our main leads but also through the secondary ship, which was just as endearing and lovable in their own right. They did a really good job in comparing relationships between gamers (main leads) and with relationships with people outside of gaming and how people in the latter can still love and support each other, that they still are people outside of their work.

To be honest, there are some plot points and conflicts that aren't too well explained, but it still really just feels like everyday conflicts that come up and if anything it makes the characters more real. I just wish more time was spent on developing these plot points.

Another part I really liked is that there's no evil villain character that stays throughout the entire drama and messes everything up. Don't get me wrong, there are people who get in between others or people who try to pursue things the wrong way, but it doesn't mean they're bad people. And the few actually bad people come and go, just like they do in real life.

The acting was pretty good to me (I know some people have taken issue with the FL's acting and called her expressionless, but I'm a pretty expressionless person too so I thought it was realistic and relatable lol). The only thing that was kind of difficult to get through was the dubbing, especially when there was Korean being spoken and it sounded so obviously like a voice actor, but at the end of the day this is just a small thing and I'm not going to drop a rating just for it.

The cinematography is great; the video and audio editing really makes the funny scenes work, and I felt the intensity of all the competition scenes. I'm not a gamer but whew, I was definitely stressed for the characters.

Overall, this was such a gem and it honestly breaks my heart that the rating is so low in China. I'd definitely recommend this to everyone. The ships are adorable, the friendships are fun, and the story is just so inspiring and heart-warming from start to finish. I'm not one to rewatch things from start to finish, but this one definitely feels like one I would.

Story review

I've been watching this started when they release episode 5 subtitle, I'm done watching it up to episode 22 then my boyfriend was kinda jelous of the Lu SiCheng ? then he asked me to accompany him watching it, so I STARTED WATCHING IT AGAIN FOR THE 2ND TIME ? OFCOURSE WITH MY BOYFRIEND ... Now, He was fallen inlove with Tong Yao. I'm happy, May the ChengXio kept on Sailing ???

I've done watching it for 4th time now ? I was never repeating watching a drama, but this one crossed the line ? I will still watch them until they will able to release season 2, Ive read the original novel, there were cutted scenes and unfilmed scenes, so I think there will definitely season 2, hoping. Thank you director, producers and others . Especially, the actors and supports. Godbless
