BT have comedic tone to it while LY leans more to the mature plot.

It's a similar drama with a focus on a group of female friends. In Brilliant Girls, Xiaoyang WAS sister of Ru Xue so a sibling plot was also included but in Love Yourself its just friends of slightly different age groups.
