After having watched the first 2 episodes I feel that this drama has a lot of potential. The show has a great vibe, there was a lot of wholesomeness in these two hours. I came in expecting something along the lines of WWWSK and Her Private Life, but this is a way more realistic story, with more down to earth characters. In my opinion Park Min Young's best performance was in Healer and in this drama she plays a similar, but somewhat darker character. About that melodrama tag, yes it makes sense, but it's pretty chill for melo, kind of like how it was in Encounter.
To sum it up it's an easy 10/10 based on 2 episodes, I have high hopes for this one.
And here are my (spoilery) thoughts after seeing the rest of the show:
The things that I wrote about the first two episodes hold up pretty well up to about episode 12-13. From there things do go downhill some. The story shifts focus to the main mystery & in all seriousness I was not all that interested about that whole situation & they could have gotten the explanations over with in 20 minutes, if they really wanted to. From this show I wanted wholesomeness and warmth, but we got some real Melo in episodes 14-15 and I did not feel the emotional impact all that much, nor did things get resolved in a satisfactory ending in the final episode. Make no mistake episode 16 was pretty nice, but it led to the kind of mildly hopeful unending that I don't particularly like. It's possible that the subtitles contributed too, the last sentence that EunSop said slowly over the course of the last 3 minutes felt strange..(VIU) Also I'm curious about how the original novel ended, I have a suspicion that it was not like this.
The low rewatch score is the result of the ending, I don't like rewatching shows that don't offer a reasonable closure.

This drama is definitely one of my all time favorites of the many dramas I have watched and I strongly recommend you to watch this if you haven't yet. I really enjoyed this story because they have such a long history together without the female lead even realizing it. The female lead went through many tragic things making her a cold female lead, and the male lead is someone who ends up being one of her strongest supports in her life. I love how long the male lead has had feelings for her, and has done many things for her without her knowing. It's very amazing how their love was made in some time with her realizing that she ended up liking him too. He was so warm to her and that touched her heart. Although she went through many hardships in her family and were too hard to handle at times, he was always there for her and stood by her side. But besides the main couple, I really liked the male leads sisters love history with the guy she likes in her school. It is literally my favorite support role relationship ever. I was so fascinated with everything, and everything about the story was so amazing and unique. It's not like other dramas where the female lead has something with the male leads family, backstabbing from her closest friends, or family problems in general. It was all a mix, it was mainly the female lead who went through many difficulties. She suffered a ton throughout her life, that the warm male lead was all she needed to regain her happiness she once had when she was very young. If I continue any further, I will spoil the whole drama lmao. But overall, this is my favorite Korean drama of all time. Everything was just perfect and how everything was planned out was just brilliant. I hope that there will be continuation to this or even a sequel. I may have spoiled a lot, but this is definitely worth praising and binge watching. Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Soothing to Watch
This drama is something else entirely. It was beautiful and even though a slice of life and very slow paced, it used every second to further develop the characters to make them even more loveable. The story is one you wish your self in sometimes, it reminded me of a fairytale yet still very realistic and even dark at times. this variant of topics discussed in this drama is what keeps you hooked onto it. It is set in a lovely little place and i wish everywhere was like that, so caring for other townsfolk, all the characters introduced had their own little story and none were dropped halfway through once it was finished, they kept all the cast on till the end. When the weather is fine does have characters with traumatic backgrounds and the usual sad story, but it does not override the warm fuzzy feeling this drama gave me whilst I watched it.
The acting was phenomenal. From the youngest to the oldest you could tell they enjoyed being there and gave it their all. The cast was well picked for this drama and I enjoyed everyones screen time.
Music and rewatch value are low as I do not really rate music or rewatch dramas.
I would recommend this to anyone that can cope with a very slow slice of life. Its definitely worth it!

I’ll go to YOU when the weather is bad.
This is the show to watch when you’re in desperate need of emotional healing. It’s so utterly breathtaking and beautifully paced that you land up enjoying the quiet and peaceful life in the village of Bookhyun, drinking coffee and discussing books.Im Eun Seob and Mok Hae Won are such stellar characters brought to life by the extraordinary Park Min Young and talented Seo Kang Joon. I have to say SKJ and his diverse choice in roles continuously amazes me. From an AI robot to a hot tempered cop to the coffee addict insomniac, he inhabits each character so perfectly, you can’t see any trace of the previous one.
The supporting cast is stellar as well. Notable performance are by the crotchety Shim Myeong Yeo, the spitfire Im Hwi and fast talking Lee Jang-Woo.
When the weather is nice is like a good book. It takes it’s time to unveil the story at a pace that is best enjoyed with a piping hot cup of coffee.

Give it a try
It's like having a warm tea in a cold winter night.Long review.
This is going to be very long. ?
First of all I am someone who loves the stories of ordinary and simple people. And probably only people like me will find this drama to be as good. This drama won't be according to the taste of people who like only thrillers, fantasies or other typical rom coms. It's a very slow paced story with no extraordinary situations at all. It's the simplicity, the realistic plot and acting, and the serene music that makes this drama quite extraordinary. This is one of the very few dramas in which every character leaves their trace in your heart. There wasn't any instance of gender stereotypes either. What made me love it the most is the portrayal of the close knit community of country side. The book club meetings make you badly want to attend them if you are a book lover yourself. The poetry and various lines, especially of the writer characters of the story leaves you in awe. Another gem of this drama is it's flawed characters. Each of them has made mistakes and still do, but eventually they heal and keep working for happiness. One thing that has to be appreciated a lot when compared to other kdramas is it's satisfying ending. Each subplot was beautifully brought to a close, some even brought to a new beginning. Though that is mostly the Lee Do Woo's (original novel's author) merit. As far as acting is considered, I don't even have any words to express how good each of them was. I came here looking for Seo Kang Jun, but I return after falling in love with each of them. Park Min Young did an amazing job. As she herself said, it's very different from her usual roles and she definitely stole the show. She did have a lot to act, considering how expressive her character is. Seo Kang Jun totally nailed it again. On the surface it looks like he didn't have much to do, but his character is one of the most quietest and most subtlest character I have seen. And he did complete justice to it. Each intricate emotion was brought out with the most subtlest expressions. And that's truly a skill. Moon Jeong Hee left me speechless with her complicated yet headstrong character. She hit the right spot every time and creates a special attachment to her character in us by the end of it. I might as well end up telling about each of them. The music was absolutely serene and healing. The OST complimented the drama so impeccably well that every mood is set so perfectly. This is the first drama in which I pick out the bgm and keep listening to those. Thanks to Hanclef for that. The cinematography was beautiful and very calming. I also appreciate the director Han Ji Seung and writer Han Ga Ram for incorporating all the emotions so well. Everything about the story was realistic. If at all something was not, it was the fact about how first loves worked out in it. But then it's in the country side and you meet the same people for almost your entire life. And it's gotta have some imperfections right. The makers weren't joking when they said that this drama intend to heal the viewers. It really does it's job. Thank you to the whole crew for this priceless drama. Like I said, please do go for it if you would like something quiet and heart warming. I promise it's worth it. ❤️

I really liked Eun Seop, (one of the main leads that i liked the most in fact) he is definitely someone i would easily fall in love with in real life because i like calm and quiet man (:P).
About Haewon, i could really feel her pain at first. Imagine going through everything she went through. Being dissatisfied with your life is very common i imagine and it's something that i went through too (not being happy with what i was doing) and i wish i had a city like that to go and forget my problems (lmao).
But after all, i have to say that i didn't enjoy everything about this drama. In fact i didn't like the end at all. I couldn't understand some characters actions and i couldn't relate with some of them anymore. But don't let this keep you from watching! besides this, i really enjoyed this calm drama. I wouldn't watch again but i definily recommend!
English is not my first language so i'm sorry if you find any mistakes! also this is my first review.

Lame and boring
You may see my rating too harsh for the dramaBut really it destroyed my beautiful expectations about it
This drama had a happy ending but as usual they should leave each other first
It began for couple of episodes boring and slow till the limit I thought many times to drop it
Then I decided to continue and I found it nice, emotional with cute slow romance reminds me with old slow pace dramas
Then Down the hill
boring again and illogical events
and the story began to have lots of flaws
First of all I liked every side story EXCEPT both main leads , mother and aunt
The ML , FL's Mom and aunt had a dead face expression
Solid as rock
Emotionless family
Even if the ML had an isolated character, after falling in love and being changed , I hoped to see more changes in his attitude and face expression but that doesn't happen
The FL was toooooooo selfish for me
always focused on herself
Her feelings
Her circumstances
Her situation
No excuses for others
While the crime was happening there should be a black box in the car videoing what happened
Because the aunt killed the father under the pressure of being terrified
She wasn't in her conscious
And when she confessed for her niece
She should tell her the whole story in detail
Which I think she already did it in her book
So the FL's reaction was extremely weird
I know she must be sad on her father
But giving excuse at the same time for her aunt especially the FL already said she hated her dad
Even after telling the ML she loved him
She left him sooooo easily with a cold smile telling him wish you great life and to continue be the same warm person
because she can't see her aunt any more
Ignoring his Feelings totally
What annoyed me like hell
That she forgiven her aunt and back to town to see her, but didn't bother herself to call the man whom she told him once I love you
She gave me the feeling she left the country because of him
She acted as if she remembered her love for him only when she saw him coincidentally again
Except that she can continue her stupid life easily without him
I think that's definitely because she guaranteed his love
I thought she was going to encourage him to write and be a big writer but no
Doesn't also happen
The writer focused on misery
Torturing themselves and how to be sad and ungrateful for all what you had because you lost one important thing from many important others
And what was the worst ever
The background music
For the first time Background tracks made me nervous and felt annoyed so much
The best part for me was what the FL's friend told her at ep. 15 when she took her in her house
I dislike this drama really
The end was stupid and for the first time I wished the ML refused to get back to her
Sad about my gigas and time

tis the damn season
Seo Kang joon's best drama for me, he played that introverted character with trauma very well, the story is the warm and cold same time and this is the best thing about drama, the book club part was so cute and I want to read all book they mentioned, the last episode was good but 15 was bad I really hate fl that episode and they ruined her all image in 1 episode, whenever I rw this drama I always skipped that episode, overall best drama!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
It‘s my second drama with Park Min Young, I really love her acting, she is becoming one of my favorite korean actresses.
Seo Kang Joon I saw for the first time and I feel a bit in love with him. I adored him in this role and can't wait to see him in many other dramas.
The chemistry was also great.
I espcially loved the book club scenes and all the side characters were likable and had enough depth so you care for them and want to know how there stories goes.
If you like slow healing dramas this one is the perfect one!

The Perfect Winter's Day Healing Drama
If there's one thing you should know about me going into this drama review, it's that:a) one of my most listened to songs of 2021 was from Chung Joon Han's score for this drama (Good Night Irene)
b) I have a 'Bookstore Journal' google doc where I typed up all of Eun Seob's blog posts from the show, to look at when ever I need a pick-me-up.
Now that my clear adoration for this little show is established, I have to say: unfortunately, this is not a perfect drama. Eun Seob's trauma plot line seemingly comes out of nowhere and is neatly resolved in a handful of episodes (seriously, what happened to that uncle?). Don't get me started on the ep 16 separation (which I will go into in more depth in a sec). Mok Hae Won's tragedy obviously takes up a larger portion of the plot, and I think the writers did a good job of letting the story unfold naturally without dragging it out for too long or condensing it too much. The main performances are great; Seo Kang Joon is adorable as the quietly-lovestruck Eun Seob, but his more emotional scenes really pack a punch. I thought the complex relationship between the three Mok/Shim women was very interesting to watch, carried by great performances.
I adore the little sequences of life in the town, the book club meetings, the shots of the landscape. The romance is lovely to watch, and as I mentioned before I really do love Eun Seob's little blog posts included at the end of each episode - so much so that I actually wish they'd included it more within the runtime itself, allow us to see a bit more of ES's innermost thoughts.
Now to the big booboo in my view: the eleventh-hour separation. We all know Kdramas love a good episode 16 separation when they've run out of plot; unfortunately, WTWIF is no difference. It is beyond frustrating to see this relationship you've been earnestly following for 15 episodes nearly implode because 1) MHW couldn't have like... given him a call or two from Seoul? And 2) Eun Seob, whose entire character arc relied on him being a traumatised guy slowly learning to open up to people and take ownership over his own voice, didn't even try to fight for the relationship when MHW left, or when she came back. The scenes of her being back in town without contacting him, and him virtually ignoring her were painful beyond belief, and made me feel like the entire development of the relationship over the series was for nought. Argh.
Ok. Breathe. Rant over. Despite its flaws, this show is a gorgeous breath of fresh, winter air. Watch it with a blanket and a cup of tea, let the pure ~vibes~ wash over you. And maybe skip most of the final episode.

Like a warm hug
Add this to the list of dramas that make me want to move to the countryside and run a little bookstore.I loved almost everything about this drama. The yearning of the main couple is impeccable, the warmth of the bookstore and the town was so comforting, and I grew to love all the side characters as well, from the family members to the book club. The show handles darker and heavier topics of domestic violence and familial issues relatively well.
With that being said, this drama still fell victim to the episode 15 curse. The last minute separation trope is one of my least favorite plot devices of all time and this drama is an example of why. The plot started falling apart with the characters' (particularly the female lead's) decision-making around those heavier topics, and the time jump felt underdeveloped and unnecessary.
Still, this was an amazing watch; I know some people complained that it was too slow but it was perfect for me. It's one of the dramas you watch wrapped up in a blanket with a cup of hot tea, and you just let it warm you up.
