Five Stars

I'm so happy i can't even register what happened this episode. Happiness, laughter, drama and the final kiss scene. I liked how they foreshadowed it when she was giving out certificates. I love this drama so far and will continue watching it. Hihi.

The Feels...Past and Present

This episode was like one big fruit salad of emotions. It starts out pretty intense, with Se-ri's life hanging in the balance. Lo and behold, Jung Hyuk arrives as a knight in shining armor (or rather, his military apparel and a fancy Jaguar sedan).Jung Hyuk has to come up with an identity and alibi for Se-Ri on-the-spot, which he does. It leaves the women of the village with a strange blend of jealousy and curiosity for this strange woman in their community. As much as Jung Hyuk tries to come off as unreadable, it is very apparent at this point that he has developed a soft spot for Se-Ri.Yoon Se-Ri and Jung Hyuk exchange some silly banter regarding their impending breakup story, which shows that even seemingly invincible Se-Ri has a reputation she lives up to. And when the women in the village downsize her worth, she feels a need to prove them wrong before she leaves. We get a glimpse into the past life of Jung Hyuk, the life he had lived before his brother Moo-Hyuk was murdered. And it seems pretty clear who was behind it all. But it is sad to see someone ( old friend of Moo-Hyuk?) ended up playing a part in his death. It would appear Jung Hyuk gave up his dream of pursuing a career in music and took on the sibling role of joining the North Korean military after his brother's death. What of the song Jung-Hyuk composed for his brother? Will Se-Ri hear it in his place?I shouldn't be so quick to judge a character, but something about Seo Dan already rubs me the wrong way. And Seung-Joon...with his mouth and attitude he could very well create his own death wish! There were several scenes in this episode that spoke to my heart. One being the enacted romantic scene between Se-Ri and Jung-Hyuk, intended to be seen by the women in the village. The jealousy on the military wives' faces was so thick, and was down-right laughable. The scene with the beggar kid and his little sister had me choking on my own tears. And something about watching Jung-Hyuk exchange pleasant words to a tomato plant gave me a fuzzy, happy feeling.Despite it being just a brief amount of time, a clear connection has been built between Se-Ri and Jung-Hyuk. Even when Jung-Hyuk answered with silence to Se-Ri' s questioning and rambling...we know what she had to say has imprinted on him. I am curious to see how the two of them will get themselves out of the pickle they are in. I am hoping Se-Ri will still have more time to bond and connect with Jung-Hyuk's colleagues, and maybe even some of the people in the village.

Muito engraçado

O mais engraçado até agora, as situações foram muito bem exploradas e a relação dos personagens está sendo bem construída.

Onions wither and die when they hear bad words?

"Onions wither and die when they hear bad words? " What I love about writer Park Ji Eun is how sweet and important the little stuff is. From Jung Hyuk putting that handkerchief into Se Ri's hair to make her fit in with the other women, and her giving it back. To Se Ri not giving him a certificate (which those soldier's just ate up!!!) and giving him a gift of a tomato. To say 10 kind things too and water. The stories this writer weaves always centers around the power of small gestures.

This was a great episode for discovering more about Jung Hyuk. Even his own men didn't know he could lie! When he told the villagers and that evil Lieutenant that Se Ri was from South Korea I was shocked!!! Boom! Mind blown, then the twist that he's saying she's part of "District 11". He-he. A spy! I also didn't pick up on the importance of what Se Ri found in Jung Hyuk's books. That she realized he was in Switzerland, which is what made that flashback. Se Ri is right, you can learn so much about someone from their books. I loved her talking to herself, well he was silent in the other room, as she pondered about how much she learned. Wondering if he really played the piano, the discovery that Se Ri does too, and then her asking if his girlfriend plays! Queue the reveal that this other woman is saying she's Jung Hyuk's fiance! ^_- Gotta get that love obstacle/triangle in. Which of course shows us her crossing the path of the thief seeking safety in North Korea. I'm really curious how that's all gonna tie in.

So the big reveal is a this guy we say who stole the engine to keep the lights on for his family so his son can study had a hand in Jung Hyuk's brother's death. The guy has a heart and it killed him. After we also learn that on the night big brother was killed he was thinking of Jung Hyuk and how much he loved his brother. *sniffles* The wire tap guy goes through the wringer as he listens to talks of dramas, in which Se Ri seems suspiciously like a spy/killer! Also, all her crazy kindness. Giving food to a beggar child. Which I love is a bonding moment for Jung Hyuk and Se Ri. To crazy talk about onions. Though that did leave for a sweet little after credits scene!! >_< I hope this wire tapper guy can become an alley.

There is a huge concern I have. How can Se Ri's family sale her business. I think on of her employees hinted that her company was tied into her dad's. But I thought she said she left and started her company on her own. Is it tied in because she's a woman? Or how does this whole thing work!!? Don't let her lose her company. It's interesting seeing all her family members jockeying for position. Though her Sister-in-Law is clearly the true threat. You'll no which one. ^_-

All the South Korean drama talk is so hilarious. It makes me wonder if North Korean's can actually watch them? What would they think? This episode stepped it up and I love getting to know Jung Hyuk more. He's human and I love it. The humor is excellent and I love the soldier guys as the become their own characters. I love it when a drama gives me real human interactions. It makes the humor and emotions so real. Though I'm very nervous about Se Ri's boat being stopped and boarded (though it's so sweet that despite contemplating killing her Jung Hyuk isn't going to let her go by herself), and is that how their first kiss happens!!! O_o
