Hase, the owner of the house, shows up when Terada and Tomoya are embracing. Terada becomes embarrassed when she realizes that Hase knows about Tomoya's plight and gives him a suggestion to have Terada sleep in the same bed. Having no backbone Terada agrees but can't really sleep well and leaves first thing the next morning. We learn the Hase is an editor and he met Hongyo through work as he is a published novelist. Hase helps Terada get a new job as a office assistant and there she meets her last housemate Kiritani who also works at the design agency. She quickly learns that Kiritani is a die-hard fan of Hongyo and believes that she is in love with him. Therefore, she tries her best to keep her and Hongyo's agreement quiet. Terada sleep again with Hongyo but her curiousity and asks him if he wants to 'sleep' with her. Which is responds with yes.
