The Emperor's brother, Ji Chang, is coming back from Zhunian, along with Princess Ti Lan, the sister of the Emperor's lost love. Angry that the king of Zhunian wants to have his lost love replaced, the Emperor orders Fang Zhu to only escort Ji Chang back to the capital. Fang Zhu knows peace with Zhunian is only possible if the Princess is safe, so he makes other plans.
