I didn't want to write a review because there are already so many for this drama. But I looked through them and I was a bit sad because most of them are either too exaggerated in praising it or a bit too cruel. I know everyone has their own preferences in what they look for in a drama and everyone has their own gusto. I just want to say that the drama is indeed good. Not fantastically, awesomely, breathtakingly good. There were flaws and not everyone's acting added up to the necessary emotions. But the overall story wasn't that bad either and many of the main cast did a fantastic job nonetheless.

The story had a slow start and I admit that I had thoughts of dropping it right away. The cast was unfamiliar to me and esp. in the beginning they didn't do much to persuade me. I don't know why I kept watching. Maybe it was the first serious encounter of the male lead with tragedy and his following performance which was rich of emotions. I think that was the key moment when I realized that the story could actually be worth a try. Now, reminiscing about it, I couldn't even fathom what cruel turn of events it actually had up its sleeve. I'm not into K-Pop, so I had no idea about the idol actors in this. Therefore I also didn't have any prejudices. But as you can see, Park Jin Young convinced me.

The slow unfolding of the main story kept reigning over the first half of the drama. Most of the time I wasn't bothered though. I enjoyed Park Jin Young's and Kim Kwon's interacting. They delivered a great performance of a really complicated relationship and I looked forward to every scene with them in it together.

I think the speciality of this drama is that you have a hero and a superpower which doesn't consequently mean that he's above everyone else and therefore a superior being. Quite the opposite. He can't control his power and therefore creates more problems rather than solving them. He has to learn how to do that, he wants to help but he's not the most ambitious guy out there and even tries to get to the final line by cheating. He's short-tempered and forgets to view things from all sides. Therefore he's not able to see the whole picture. The process of him learning step by step is wrought very smoothly. He's very human in his reactions to certain events.

Which leads me to the Shin Ye Eun and thus to the weak link. While I kept watching I started to wonder why I can't enjoy the drama as much as I wanted to, even though the story, the twists, the characters were interesting. Until I figured out that it was the female lead who bothered me. I know that others praise her but I don't think that she was the right choice for this kind of drama. Her performance was too weak and the actress is too inexperienced to actually convey the feelings and difficulties her character had to go through. I don't want to bash her acting, she definitely tried. I'm just saying that it wasn't enough and led to boring scenes with Park Jin Young which also includes the romance. A hundred per cent unnecessary feature in the story.

As much as I was disenchanted by the female lead, I reveled in the display of detective Eun Ji Soo. Kim Da Som did everything I missed in Shin Ye Eun's acting. And in the beginning I was even skeptical of her. She really grew on me throughout the story and I wouldn't want to miss her now. Next to the relationship of the two brothers, Eun Ji Soo had another very interesting connection to Kang Seung Mo. Instead of the main romance the writers should have focused more on that part because I think it's a bigger deal to have her influencing Seung Mo than Yoo Jae In and Lee An chasing each other in out-of-context-scenes.

Sometimes I started to compare the drama to "I remember You". Well, it's not quite the same. But if you look for a special and complicated bromance, then you're definitely right with this one. Does the plot have holes? Hard to tell, smalls flaws in my opinion. I also could have done without the corruption part since it was just a tool to make the investigation and the grounding for an already sturdy concept more complicated. But the main focus of the drama is worth a shot despite all that.

The cast, the OSTs and the plot was a lot amazing. Special mention to Kim Kwon for playing Seongmo - I cannot imagine anyone else playing him. He nailed his character. Jinyoung did a really good job too for his first main role. I've seen his other dramas and I'm proud of what he has achieved and his improvement.
It has the balance of romance and suspense that you're looking for.
You have to watch this drama if you want something that keeps you on your toes and something out of the ordinary and fascinating. There were even some scences that foreshadowed future events - I honestly though this was brilliant how the writer managed to do this.

I loved this drama so much; from the story to the characters and their relationships with each other. It was a seemingly light drama with a darker side (as to be expected from a crime centered drama) but about halfway it flipped on its head and became extremely dark. I didn't have too much of a problem with this change until it started to get ridiculous. Jisoo dies and then it comes out Sung Mo was the one who really killed all those people at the apartment and framed Jae in's dad... It felt like the writer just wanted to destroy all these relationships with Sung Mo for... a twist and shock value??? The part that had me loving this drama was destroyed and it made me so angry. Before I was going to give this drama a 8-9 stars, but the ending truly ruined so much. If you are someone who loves crime dramas and doesn't get emotionally invested in the characters and is only here for the suspense and the plot twists and turns maybe this drama is for you, but if not you'll surly just be disappointed like the rest of us. The cast was amazing and although it's unlikely I'd love to see the main four work together again.

Regarding the premise of the show, it delivers on ALL the aspects. Well balanced mystery, crime and romance in one with well rounded characters. The leads are surprisingly good considering it's their first attempt. The OST is neither overpowering nor manipulative. Cinematography and computer graphics are really well done, nothing negative to mention here. Plot twists are logical enough. Unveiling of different layers of characters personalities, motives and/or abilities is refreshing and serves as a vessel to the storyline, which gets dark. REALLY DARK. But it's a crime story after all...
So far a 10 from me. I'm dissapointed by the low ratings - the story unfolds at a comfortable pace, it doesn't have to be action packed all the time like other shows to keep you hooked.

It's a good series.
I love it.

i don't know what else to write. And i dont want to go in depth cuz i might spoil yall so i recommend to watch it.

I couldn't get over the drama for like a week or 2. Sorry i have to filled out 500 words. i mean the main leads are rookies but the drama turn out to be amazing. i just love the drama. Though i wish that there will be a little more romance but the connection between them is still strong.

"He is Psychometric" is about a young boy who, after an accident, gains the ability to read the memories of objects and people through touch. This was another show where I knew instantly that this was going to be for me, and I would really enjoy this show.

I like the over-the-top energy level in the music, as well as our four main leads for their own complexities. Love Park Jin Young's character as Lee Ahn, obviously. I came over this show from The Devil Judge because I'm impressed by him and would never miss the chance to watch him act. Not only does he portray that very light-hearted, very youthful energy very well but he also has a couple hard-hitting moments. There is one where he finds a puppy and brings the puppy home and I legitimately teared up. Another thing, since he needs to make skin-to-skin contact to pick up a psychometry, he always wears long baggy sweater sleeves that passes his hands. I just think it’s a nice detail that explains his personality that he's not picking up psychometry randomly while he's living his day-to-day life.

The story was interesting and also heartbreaking. I caught myself questioning so many things throughout... Although I enjoyed the conflicts, a few dark and gruesome scenes were hard to watch. I got a bit bored by the ending because the suspense felt rather flat and dull. I'm glad that we somewhat got a hopeful ending, though. To sum up, the drama is worth watching for the original plot as well the skilled actors, but could have been much better plot-wise.

I really wanted to like He is psychometric. However, even from the very first episode, things seemed a bit slow and boring. The story itself sounded interesting, however the execution killed it.

So, the first part of the drama was really tiring to watch. We were introduced to the characters and the main hero's past story and abilities. And then, the drama jumps into the future, where the two leads meet again, under different positions this time. The development of the romance took place during that time. But, the romance was weak and didn't have the strong vibes that it needed to keep the interest high.

The best part was when the mystery started being revealed. The serial killer and the backround stories were interesting and entertaining. However, to reach that point you have to go through the boring first part unfortunately.

Finally, the performances were good, especially from the second lead.

So, 4.5 because this drama could have been really good, but the execution didn't help it thrive and it just ended up being another boring drama.

I'll be honest. This drama did pertain my interest each week as I wait for a new episode but as I finish this drama, it wasn't as great as I hoped for it to be from the first week.

Story: First of all, I didn't like how they made this drama with comedy in the beginning only to never return to it for the rest of the drama. It was definitely a darker atmosphere for majority of the episodes. I like a good laugh and I like a good mystery or a dark story but I prefer either it being one or the other. The mystery solving in this drama was pretty interesting however I felt like the writers missed some crucial scenes that should've been filmed and shown, you know to show the importance of that character or situation.

Acting/Cast: I love all of the cast in terms of their acting. I just felt like it was unfair for certain characters that didn't get much screen time but a story was shown about them. While I get there's more screen time for the main leads, sometimes their scenes are just not interesting to watch, compared to say the second leads. Romance from the leads, well... there's something but I've seen better but this is definitely not the worse though.

Music: Some decent OSTs but I just felt like it wasn't played much in the drama itself so the OSTs aren't that memorable for me.

Rewatch: It's okay to watch for the first time but now that I know what happens and how it turns out, I likely wouldn't watch it again just based on how the writers handled this drama overall.

Yikes, how did this show go off the rails that quickly.

The first half of the show it was a solid 7 but then ugh, I had to push myself to watch it. Honestly, there were so many things that I didn’t like, and so much wasted potential. First the tragic Pinocchio knock-off fire backstory, and then the plot seemed so predictable and forced. I also didn’t like the side characters. The prosecutor who enjoys spending his free time watching people from his car, the chief’s daughter who although is a strong female character - I just couldn’t help but dislike her, that’s just me personally. The big bad of the series, the typical serial killer (the man who gave Kang Sung Mo his creepy watch-from-a-distance habits) who ‘can’t feel emotions’ but spends his whole life chasing, imprisoning and obsessing over a woman? Even the backstory behind the series of murders seemed like such a let-down (like people died man, and you stabbed 3 women to death, why??) and then the next Home Care fire with the same stabbings - all as bait to lure that woman again? And then that bizarre kidnapping, why??

And then we had to suffer the typical angst between our main couple because kdrama law says so, and when Lee Ahn reads her memory for the 10th time and sees her dad, he steps back all shocked like “your dad is Yoon Tae Ha????” like how on earth could he not have known? How is this new information? Are we as an audience really supposed to believe Lee Ahn just wondered who Yoon Jae In’s father was for 2 years, and just heard he was some random criminal and never heard/saw a name, or asked, or researched? If her maths teacher could find out in a minute, so could he. And we all KNOW from several people that he was falsely accused and was framed!

Just because the news says so, Lee Ahn says Yoon Tae Ha is the person he detests the most in the world?! What about the man who fcking stabbed you who is most likely the same criminal who lit that fire all those years ago. I mean it wasn’t, but he’s all tied into it. And while I’m at it, after leaving her on the ground crying in the rain, and saying her dad is the worst, he goes off the grid for days, ignores her calls, leaves her on her own to get kidnapped (when he knew full well the CCTV cameras were malfunctioning where she lives & works, and was being watched by some suspicious man in black) and then after rescuing her by some stroke of luck, he never once apologises????

Look, I understand he had to direct his anger somewhere and everybody blamed her dad, so changing the image you have of someone you’ve hated your whole life isn’t easy, but still, leaving her like that was cold. And another thing!! The MOMENT it was proven Yoon Tae Ha was framed, someone should be making the efforts to get her dad out of prison!! Or at LEAST tell the poor man that his innocence is proven! He literally just tried to commit suicide.

Anyways then the plot continues to go sideways, along with the police’s continued incompetency. How did they manage to lose him when he was handcuffed in a police-car, I still don’t understand that. Twice! Why would, when receiving a text with the kidnapper’s face, you let a possible suspect go and drive away, and THEN look at the picture sent. Jesus christ, is lieutenant Nam (Yoon Jae In’s superior) the only one with a brain in the force?

The romance which was at least a part of the story originally is just tossed to the side for the rest of the show, which considering is the only saving grace of the show, is a pretty dumb move. But alas, I must push on to get closure for this bs. Time to watch the rest of Keeping up with the Kang’s and their psychotic family drama.

And even as they as they close up all of the loose ends on the final episode, the feeling of dissatisfaction did not cease.

Everyone’s dumb, the end.

So much wasted potential

I didn't particularly care for this one. I didn't feel the attraction between the leads, she seemed so much older than him. The lead male was just too cocky. The story line was okay, but some of the names were so close, it was hard at times to tell who they were talking about. I don't mind slow moving if there is a point to it, but this one needed a good editor. I found myself fast-forwarding through a lot of this, just to finish it. The ending was rushed and lackluster. It's hard to write enough to get my obligatory 500 characters because I was so un-impressed.

He is Psychometric is a Korean supernatural mystery thriller drama that touched upon human trafficking, alexithymia and the flaws of the justice system. The drama is about a boy (Lee Ahn) who got the power of being able to read memories from people's minds after getting a head injury from a large apartment building arson, and a girl (Yoon Jae In) who's father was framed and sentenced for the arson. They team up to solve the apartment building arson and to exonerate Jae In's father. The cast was great. The male and female leads had chemistry but I liked some of the side characters more. The writers wrote Lee Ahn as too much of an airhead for my taste and they kept reminding us of that to the point that it was starting to get a bit annoying. The music was good and fit the drama. Overall, I would recommend this drama but in my opinion there were definitely some areas in the drama that could have been better. It's a dark drama that is not too dark so people who don't usually enjoy watching dark dramas can watch it also.

My Thoughts

The actors portrayed their characters phenomenally, especially Park Jin Young and Kim Kwon. The plot was also extremely captivating with a lot of twists and turns and unexpected surprises (I binged about 8 episodes in one day). I personally didn't like the music choices, but it wasn't the main focus of the show, so I didn't mind every much, and before I had even finished the series, I was already thinking about the fact that I would definitely be re-watching He Is Psychometric again at some point. I really enjoyed this series, and I cried at least four times in the last few episodes.
