My Boyfriend (2017)

STORY: Being one of the translators, I've watched this series dozens of times. Some parts of it can seem disjointed but after watching the entire show more than once, I understand it so much better. For one, the black & white scenes are an aside, which was partly confusing at first, but it's like a small narration of the whole story. Again, to fully understand all of the things said, and much that wasn't said, it helps to watch it more than once. ACTING/CAST: Some are noobs, all are young, all are cute.

MUSIC: Besides the two different opening songs, which I liked the second one better, there were 3 very good commercial songs. Check the links in the description of the final episode. I really liked the music in this.

REWATCH VALUE: To really understand it, I had to see it more than once. And it's so short, I didn't mind seeing it multiple times. Your mileage may vary.

OVERALL: Well, it's shot in 1080p, which is nice. It's a short production on probably a smaller budget with some young actors, but I did enjoy the show.

I wanted to like this... I really did. But... I didn't. I see the potential for it but the delivery was just a bit to flat for me.
All through the show, short or not, I felt zero connections with the characters. I feel like it started in the middle of a story and then bounced around trying to make it all make sense.... only making it worse.
The ending was sad and I give it that, but I just.... I don't know. I wish you could add photos to reviews because I lack words right now. I feel like I'm more of a series of memes of confused, annoyed, and who knows what else. Lol
I kinda do wish this could get a remake with a longer story explaining some things. Especially the relationships situations. More so, that one relationship that came up out of the blue for no reason at all. Unless there was one and I missed it.

I kinda wanted to rate this lower. :|

Diluted

So I'm not really sure how I ended up here but it was short and I had time lol If this started as a novel I PRAY it's better than this. Idk how to explain it but, it wasn't horrible yet it wasn't good either. Reminder: It's Chinese so it's been watered down to barely above bromance (I was impressed with that much). The story had potential but somehow fell face first flat. It wasn't the acting, I literally think it's because it was short and Chinese based. (I know it sounds rude, but any BL fan knows China lowers everything to Bromance). I agree with the overall rating of this series.
