Black *sounds* like a story similar to the Grim Reaper's romance in Goblin. Both are Fantasy Romance. Immortal falling for human love stories. One forgets the other...

**Edit - Black is totally different to Goblin, but the Fantasy, Romance genre remains. Both are also about supernatural entities on Earth and interacting with humans.

Both shows are fantasy romances about a grim reaper coming into the life of a normal human and the struggles that the both of them face together. Please note that “dear doctor, I’m coming for soul” is a BL and has a lighter plot than “black”.

Both female characters can see a person's life span. Although in different ways. Somehow they both have the need of their leading man because of their past connection or the secret connection that they have that envolves one of their family member.

Both dramas have the body-swap/body possession concept.
The original character found a clue that lead them to solve the mystery/case but before they were able to reveal it, they had an accident which caused them to die/their body to be possessed by someone else. The characters that possess the body aim to use their new identity as a detective to get away with certain things such as handling a gun, or accessing police data.

Both dramas were written by the same writer. I saw a lot of similarities in the characters. The male lead had somehow similar characteristics. They were rude and rough, although this characteristic did made them humorous characters. Also, some people think that the female lead from Black and God's Gift were annoying. In addition to this, both involves struggles with the government/ people with great power. Also, the place of incident in both were in Moojin.
