Both movies are about disabled children/teenagers who witness/endure something horrific and must testify despite prejudice against them. Both MLs undergo a lot of positive character growth as they get to know the children involved in the case.

A care facility for those with disabilities is under fire for the abuse of its residents.

both have dark themes, both of them have twisted characters and also theme of physical abuse and hint of sexual abuse to young children

Both have a teacher storyline trying to help abuse-victims. Emotional movies with good actors.
