Getting down to business:
1.Kiss scenes are weak. The passion isn't as believable.
2. Bpee isn't a doormat. She has sass and she's not afraid to use it. She's still too kind, sweet and wants to do the right thing which remains consistent with earlier versions.
3. Razzing Monthai showcased the onscreen chemistry best. Those were magic moments that made up for the lack of sexual tension that 2008 version had in spades.
4. The jealousy moments were...cute. Not raw like 2008.
5. Monthai's mother in the first section of this version didn't live up to the bat sh*t crazy in the 2008 version. But by the middle she was rock'n'rolling in the crazy - it was greatness! 2008's mom was much more consistent in her crazy, but by the end I wasn't sure who I liked better.
Overall I like both versions equally, I just happen to like them for different reasons. (Never saw all of the 1998 version).

I have watched all the three versions of Ngao Asoke. The basic plot remains the same in all the three but there are some minor changes.
I think the 2016 version had more fluff than the earlier versions. I was surprised that it was hilarious at times. People who have watched the earlier versions will know that they were more serious than this one.
I think the drama was well executed.
Acting/ Cast
Esther was amazing in this one. Her Bpee was adorable and charming. The 1999 version Bpee was very practical while 2008 version Bpee was vulnerable. Her Bpee was naive but I don't know why this one was enchanting.
I think Sean is a great actor. I think he has one of the loveliest smile. I wasn't going to watch this version since I heard that this Monthai wasn't as possessive as the Monthai in the previous version but after watching Leh Ratree I just had to watch Sean and Esther in a drama again. Honestly, their chemistry was amazing and I will love to watch more dramas by them.
In fact Grand's Viyada had more depth in this version. I don't know how but sometimes Grand seemed to show that she had conscience which was totally missing in the earlier Viyadas.
I liked Savitree's Tuptim too. I think the characters were softer in this version and maybe that was the reason I liked it.
Music
I love the ost Saeng Lae Ngao. It was the same as the ost in the 2008 version and I loved this ost even then.
Rewatch value
I will definitely rewatch it. I loved the concept of Ngao Asoke which actually made me watch all the three versions. I think this one was by far my favourite. I got the same feeling like what I got when I watched Boss and Me. Even the harsher elements seemed lighter. Though a few scenes were tear jerkers.
Overall I think this one is worth a watch. At least you can enjoy Bpee's adorableness and Monthai's smile if nothing else. And to anyone who liked Nu, watch this drama to see a more stronger and decisive version of him.

STORY : the storyline is a bit interesting with lot of twist.. the character i thought bad was end up being good people, the one i thought good was remain good and stupid.. to be honest i like the wad story better and the evil sister with sean brother better than the main character story.. i skip most of the time in this lakorn as i dont really feel the sweetness and the steam between main lead.. not to mention the flow of the story are typical for lakorn and a bit slow tempo.
ACTING: their acting is good.. especially the mother.. i really like to see her going mad and crazy... haha and the main couple everyone know they are a good actor and actress.. same with the supporting lead..
MUSIC: nothing catch my ears.
REWATCH: i dont think i`ll rewatch this again.. even if i did it would be because imreally bored or i just want to see the mom

Ngao asoke
I was really pissed off by the characters development throughout the episodes. Except the mother character and the second lead story everything else was too irritating to describe. Every one of them looked so stupid, female lead was so passively dumb that till last episode she was supporting the evil inspite of knowing her ill intentions. And even dumber was hero who till last episode couldn't decide who to trust and love inspite of various reasons pointing against his lover.1. No chemistry between lead characters, was quite disappointed, i decided to watch this show after watching leh ratree..and it definitely spoiled my mood .
2. Never in favour of too submissive, too goodyshoes, too dormant and without backbone heroine and heros. And this serial was full of such characters .
And will never recommend to watch or re watch...

Not a Bad Watch
When I first started this drama I was so into it. I lost an entire night of sleep because of the first eight episodes. The acting is way above par, especially young Bpee. At that point when Bpee's grandmother died and Bpee was crying, I cried too. There were also many moments of comedy for me to laugh over.
What I hated though, was the fact that the drama stopped progressing at around episode 8. That is literally half way through the series. It then spiraled into another 8/9 episodes of repetition. And I hated how stupid they made Mon's character. After everything that happened, it took him until the drama almost finished before he realised that his BITCH of a gf was the one doing all the wrongs and trying to kill his mother.
Man when you talk about the saying 'love is blind' you're going to see his picture in the dictionary.
This drama is like a lot of those other Asian dramas I've watched. There are some amounts of suspense and a whole truck load of frustration and then in the last 10 minutes, the leads have a so called happy ever after. I wish they would give the leads a happy ever after of at least an episode
