I just want to clarify one thing first: People have this misconception that since Tomorrow With You revolves around time-travel, the episodes should be action-packed. However, Tomorrow with you is a melodrama. To put it short, it's a mix of time-fantasy + melodrama combination. I have seen a lot of shows that failed overall just because they wanted to create a new mix of genre (Bride of the Water God = fantasy + youth romance || Suspicious Partner = Crime-Mystery + Romance || Doctors = Medical + Melodrama + Romance), but there have also been a lot of successful genre-mixes (While You Were Sleeping = Legal/Crime + Fantasy || Descendants of the Sun = Medical + Melodrama || W = Fantasy + Thriller). Not gonna include Goblin as an example because that show is a masterpiece and no drama from recent time has been close to it at all. At least for me.
Tomorrow with you is a melodrama that stood out well for me. It did well enough that I can say with confidence that it can be mentioned alongside the names of top-notch Melodramas such as The Master's Sun and The Innocent Man. Now the actual review starts from here
Story
I'm pretty precise when it comes to scoring the story. I haven't ever given a perfect 10 for story; even for my all-time favorite show, Goblin. For the story to be a 10 for me, the plot, the conflict, the flow, the climax, and the ending must all be equally resonated among the episodes. There must be absolute clarity in terms of the delivery of the plot from start to finish. That includes the most important part which is the ending. Hence, to spoil a bit from the story, I want to say that Tomorrow With You probably has one of the best endings of a melodrama in history. Hands down.
The plot itself is unique. I'll give a short premise to the plot to let you know how unique it is: A man can time-travel to the future (and back to the present) through the use of a subway, thus leading him to be successful in his current life. The story starts there, introducing us to Yoo So Joon, a selfish and wealthy time traveler. His life changes when he finds out the he will die in the future (for those who haven't watched, relax. This spoiler isn't exactly a 'spoiler'. Technically) on the same night with a beautiful woman (Song Ma Rin). He then made the effort to rescue that woman in the present in the hopes of changing his future. It didn't change however, and it actually turned out worse because now, he couldn't travel in the future if the date is past 2019. Also, he doesn't die in the new future, but rather becomes missing.
If that's not some unique plot that will catch your attention for a melodrama then I don't know what will. The supposed 'plot twist' was already given at the start of the drama so it makes you think how will this pan out (Sort of how W did it from episode 5). Give this drama a try if you want something fresh and new. I wouldn't lie, it has some tweaky plot holes near the climax of the story, but overall, the presentation of the story from start to finish was sill fantastic. 9.5/10
Acting
I honestly thought Shin Min Ah + Lee Je Hoon was a weird combination. You're combining an actress famous for being in successful rom-coms such as My Girlfriend is a nine-tailed fox and Oh My Venus, and an actor who's known to play more serious roles, especially in Signal. I had this prejudice that both of them would suck at making viewers feel connected to them because of their backgrounds. I was wrong though. They both were fantastic in their first melodrama. The character development of both Yoo So Joon and Song Ma Rin in the show was exceptional. Yoo So Joon from being a selfish, lazy director of a real estate company to being a loving husband and a responsible person. Song Ma Rin from being an alcoholic, hopeless-romantic to being a gloomy, mysterious woman towards the end. The acting of the two leads is brilliant. Would have shed a perfect 10 had it not been for a really mediocre supporting cast. 9.5/10
Music
The OST is really unique. It was mainly composed of ballads and piano solos to capture the mood for scenes. I'm personally not a fan of classical music, but nevertheless, it was executed well in this series. You can feel the emotions in scenes from the music. 9/10
Rewatch Value
The plot is so unique for a melodrama that if you want to cry all over again, you can just watch it. I'm one of the few people who actually appreciates melodramas as it actually brings the best of the best actors/actresses in terms of delivery. Having a unique plot to make me feel that is a worthwhile experience
Overall
I recommend you to watch this even if you are not a fan of melodramas. You just might start appreciating melodramas after this. If you are a fan of Melodramas, prepare for an emotional ride

While there are indeed holes in Tomorrow With You, overall I felt the use of Time Travel was very good though.
Following narrowly avoiding a fatal railway accident Yoo So Joon finds that he can now travel through time every time he uses the subway, forwards or backwards depending on the direction that he travels. Interestingly, where many time travel stories only talk about permitting travel to the past, this one declares that one can only travel to the future and back to your "current" time, so if you travel forwards in time 2 years stay there for 4 hours and come back - 4 hours have passed in the current time. It kinda makes sense as a plot device (because time pressures in the "now" also exist in the future, you can't just come back 1 minute after you left and solve the problem) and means that you don't need to bend your mind around some of the more complex problems of time travel.
A key difference between this story and many others i've seen (all others to date in fact) is that the couple get married really early on in the story, so this immediately isn't your regular story. It's got the kind of tone about it that feels like an arranged marriage where the couple start of marrying and then over time develop their feelings and a close relationship.
The story definitely has different gears though, as it progresses it shifts into these different gears and the focus of the story shifts a little, whether it's getting together with Ma-rin in the first place, dealing with an embezzler, solving a murder or - well, the things that happen even later in the story - I felt that the shifts made sense and really gave a feeling of the story progressing. It takes place over a period primarily between 2015 and 2022 (though there are nods back to 2009 when the railway accident occurs), so over such an extended period you can see why there would need to be some sense of real progression through the story.
What kept me going through this was the relationship between Ma-rin and So-Joon, I loved Ma-rin's character and thought the extreme bubbliness was actually warranted given she's led a largely lonely life and finally finding someone she loves in this way it's like all that emotion is bursting out of her - but she's no push over, and she's not a light headed character either, she's independent and strong as is demonstrated numerous times when So-Joon asks her to change something (e.g. stop being a photographer at a location) because he's trying to prevent something in the future - but without telling her the reason, she stands her ground because it's just a really unreasonable request in any other circumstance. So-joon played by Lee Je Hoon was another good character, somewhat wooden but then again I also feel that since he's had a largely isolated life that's not unreasonable either.
The bad guy - Kim Yong Jim, played by Baek Hyun Jin was awesome, he had a real presence about him as his character - which starts as a nice guy, gradually devolves into - well, what he ends up as. Seeing his descent was really interesting and portrayed well. It's got that "joker" or "darth vader prequel" feel - the step by step slippery slope as a good guy became the bad guy. His whole mannerism with his facial expressions and general posture though, amazing. Definitely going to watch some more with him to see his range.
Finally, the conclusion - without spoiling it. I left the final two episodes (15/16) until the following day as it was already about 3am by the time I got there... and I'm really glad I did. They're emotional, tense and difficult. Seeing ma-rin go through such a rollercoaster of emotions was painful and joyous and I really think it was her character that drove these last two episodes - So Joon was doing plenty too but what Ma-rin was going through, the strength of character it showed and the emotions she experienced were the highlight for me.
This is an absolute must-watch for me and definitely going on my re-watch list.
Music was the only downside for me, and it may purely be because i was so engaged by the on-screen action that I forgot to pay attention, but nothing stood out for me. I need to dig out the OST on YouTube and have a listen, but certainly for the time being the music didn't make any specific imprint on my memory.

The Underrated Gem: Tomorrow With You
This drama was such an entertaining watch, not for a second was I bored or distracted and for someone like me who has an attention span of a bee it sure is a feat of its own.Character Development: this was the finest aspect of Tomorrow With You for me because they were able to nail this and with such finesse. The plot and actors collectively complimented the subtle yet clearly distinguishable personality change of every character involved with a justifiable pace that didn't feel too rushed or unbelievable as it tends to happen in most cases. They stuck to keeping them in a grayish spectrum of persona, not too good and not too evil either just a bunch of realistic lives that at some point everyone can relate with.
The main lead went to being from extremely self engrossed to a bit disoriented and then to being desperately besotted while still clinging to his selfish gains throughout.
The antagonist was very well scripted that at times I kinda tried to justify his actions because he wasn't a beast on a murdering spree from the beginning, just a lil' too ambitious for his own good and that is exactly what struck a chord with me because when has ever demanding what you rightfully deserve labeled as a crime?
The female lead was such a cutie, eccentric and cringey too at times but a cutie nonetheless. I truly get where she was coming from. Getting used to rejection from family, friends and random strangers can take a toll on anyone and then suddenly, out of the blue being accepted and loved not to mention the new experience of martial bliss can make you a tad high on happiness if not completely cuckoo in the heads. Ma Rin proved to be such an entertainer and yes, am gonna defend her craziness because she was anything but irritating. She made me laugh my guts out while simultaneously dealing with heavy emotions like depression, disbelief and determination with such gusto that boy, it truly had me. She'll be my favorite FL for a while now, that's for sure.
Plot: I'm a sucker for sci-fi and on your face romance more so if both combined so it was a given already that the plot was going to keep me busy. Not gonna lie the entire concept got way too complicated in the midway than it was initially supposed to be but that's okay, it made me sit up and focus on every scene and timeline as if my life depended on it (cause the lead's sure did lol).
It was such an heart wrenching story sprinkled with humour and overall wholesomeness of developing human relations that despite some plotline loopholes in the end I was ready to overlook every flaw of this show just because the presentation and execution was done perfectly.
Acting: Might I just say, that I'm in love with Shin Min Ah for her work in this one. This is my first drama of hers and man, am I awestruck by her beauty and charm already.
Lee Je Hoon brought a dash of happy surprise as well with his immaculate acting. Mentioning the obvious here but I couldn't resist, these guys had such a rocking chemistry, their lovey dovey marriage even the lovers' quarrels appeared so believable that I was wishing for it to be true in both real and reel life; it doesn't hurts that they both look extremely good together either.
Jo Hee Park appeared somewhat awkward and hasty with her portrayal as the female second lead.
I find Kang Ki Doong, Han Chul Jo and Kim Ye Won annoyingly cute almost everywhere they go so, there's nothing new about it.
Extra: How the hell was everyone on this drama so gorgeously dressed? I mean hats off to the costume designers, who came up with such brilliant chic yet classy looking clothing for every character. I almost wanted to steal them denim jackets and overcoats virtually (don't blame me the entire thing was on futuristic hopes and wishful thinking).
In conclusion, the show is criminally underrated for no reason whatsoever and if you're looking for a heavy romance with an equally heavy plot well, look no further!

Series revolves around a ml that can time travel and the fl who he realizes shares a connecting. The relationships was not immediate but it does seems to move a little fast. No crazy in-laws. One greedy cast member and plotting. The rest is somewhat of a mystery. Things do get solved but not all questions are answered. Pleasant ending.

The only thing is while the ending did come full circle for me, there was *something* lacking. The foreshadowing delivered so well throughout the drama that I had really high expectations for the ending. It was nice but it wasn't fancy-nice, so now I'm just sad the show is over :(
It's my first time watching Lee Je Hoon act, even though I feel like I've come across Shin Min Ah somewhere. They are so loveydovey it's cringe sometimes but the chemistry is really there. It takes a lot for me to root for a couple through the good and bad times, and I was truly rooting for them all the way. Personally not a fan of Shin Min Ah's face shape, but I would dig up Lee Je Hoon's other works to see more of him. So cute omg. Also just realized Kang Gi Doong's real name is Kang Gi Doong!! I've been him recently in The King:Eternal Monarch and in It's Okay To Not Be Okay, and I love his acting! Always playing fun second leads -- I hope he gets more male lead roles soon!

If you are a die hard fan of romance, then this is a gem. I always thought it must be so hard to capture the joy of being newly married and how your love deepens as you grow together. That's why not many dramas are centered on it. This was one of the best drama that captured the fun, cheesiness and laughter that accompanies being newly married. The relationship and chemistry was so smooth and organic. I didn't find the lead pair as attractive looking as other well known faces. However they sure can act. I grew to love the heroine who smoothly covered up her disappointment and mistreatment thrown her way. I loved how the love grew as the each misunderstandings were resolved. Thanks God there was no child hood romance and amnesia thrown in as a cliche. The guy is an awesome actor. Great ending and over all the cockles of my heart are warmed. I have so much to say about this drama! Every episode had me intrigued but I never reached that "full enjoyment" threshold until the story was nearing its end. I must say, the last few episodes were so satisfying despite the plotholes. This is the kind of drama where the writer had a start and end in mind, without much thought on how to fully connect them in the middle. You know, how some dramas end badly after having a great premise? This is not one of them. It had a great start and a satisfying end (with a few plot-turning choices I do not agree with but eh, they're easily forgivable in my opinion.) The middle was kinda messy though but when it ended, I was left with all the feelings of satisfaction. The actors were great. I especially loved Lee Je Hoon. He was shinning throughout the drama and took over every scene. Also, the middle "confusion" episodes were saved because of the romance between the leads. I enjoyed it a lot. I thought they were very lovely together despite their rushed beginning. Though they were married, I, as a viewer, felt the "offness" of their relationship, but, considering the reason for their marriage in the first place, it was expected. However, as the story progressed, I began adoring them as a couple without realizing it. I loved their scenes even more when So Joon became more expressive, in a sense that he was acting out of his real feelings, and not out of obligation or responsibility for their future. All in all, I appreciated the slow buildup of their romance -- I think it saved a lot of the episodes. I also liked the mystery behind Jo Han Chul's character. His story also kept me interested.
ALSO, Kim Feel's With You is such a lovely song. All the songs were soothing but THAT one song deserves 20/10 rating!
I recommend this for people who like slow progress and something introspective. But idk I think everyone should give it a try.

I thought from the beginning that this kind of genre would probably get boring, predictable, cliche after 10 eps, but I WAS WRONG. All the mystery and plot are profoundly written. Should I call it systematically? orderly? perfectly arranged? hmm... I enjoyed every single minutes while watching this as it made me intrigued and I often grinned like crazy. :) Fortunately I watched this after this almost finished airing or else I would have need to miserably wait for a week. lol.. This drama started really good, then developed really really great. This one is so underrated.... probably not some people's cup of tea.
Acting/Cast
Both leads are definitely skilled and talented actor/actress. I like every casts here. They portrayed their characters pretty well. I dont know how to judge if its good or not, but they just are my favor. :)
Music
I did not have any interest in this drama's ost.. Not catchy on my ears at all.. just good for adjustin' this drama's background music so it feels more alive.
Rewatch Value
I am not a typical one who like to rewatch but i would rewatch this later sometime in the future. I will just reminisce of some scene ;)
Overall
This drama is unique, great, captivating, and one of my best favorite supernatural drama :) I am longing for this kind of series. 10/10
