Although one is Chinese and the other one is Korean, both have good storyline and some similarities
- Both ML are prince…Strong, smart and did many things to protect FL
- Some gender bender…female dressing as a man
- FL family was wrongfully accused so they have to hide their identity
- Make you want to root for their love

If you like drama series where female lead cross dressing due to certain circumstances e.g. joining military ( Arsenal Military) or palace recruitment (Love in the Moonlight) and the male lead didnt realise until many episodes later that he actually fell in love with a girl.
Both dramas have very very handsome male leads and female leads who looks pretty and also convincing as a young boy. Though the setup, genre, language and era of each drama are different but it is definitely a good rom-com. ???

It is also a rom-com historical drama, but contains more actions. The main girl here also surrounds a birth secret that she does not know of until the romances between the three main characters develop (the other one is a second male lead played by Jang Geun Suk). In LITM, it is Byung Yeon who finds out Ra On's true identity, but in HGD, it is Lee Chang Hwi (played by Jang Geun Suk) who finds the true identity of the main girl. Hong Gil Dong may not be a crown prince, but he is a illegitimate son of a high rank minister. Also, the main girl played by Sung Yu Ri knows martial arts and can beat most of the men she fights. She is a cute strong-willed girl who is free-hearted to all the people she meets.
Saito Haruomi is a young man who moves from his hometown to Tokyo to attend a university. He begins to live in a lodging place that charges the low price of 10,000 yen per month. On his first day there, he meets a beautiful girl named Kokono. While making conversation with her, Saito Haruomi’s face blushes. He suffers from erythromania, which causes him to blush often. Saito Haruomi is excited to live with a such beautiful girl, but he soon discovers that Kokono is actually a man.
Both are the projects of the younger generation of actresses, Kim Yoo Jung and Kim So Hyun. Aside from the typical wealthy/powerful male lead poorer female lead setup that is so common it hardly counts as a similarity, one thing I appreciated in both, and that I hope will become more common in dramas, is that the characters simply trust each other. There are no major misunderstandings just to bring out the angst, and not too much noble idiocy. It's nice to watch a communicative and trusting couple, that surprised me every time by not falling into the common traps k-dramas lay.
BROMANCE PLEASEEEEEE
ML has this one loyal companion that is always there no matter what
Both leads are Crown princes
LITM is more comedy and TKIL is more politics
Love triangles that are pretty complicated (specially TKIL)
If you liked one DEFINETLY check the other both of them are REAAAALLY GOOD

Both these dramas show the FL and ML with chance meeting and not knowing each other's real identity - which is funny since the FL treats the royal ML like a commoner - of course this helps them develop the relationship
Both dramas, the bodyguard is an unwitting ally
FL serves at side of ML in an effort for ML to keep them around - even though it is not looked on as okay by others
Both, Bickering-type dynamic and both FL always getting in scrapes with the ML saving
Bodyguard is the coolest character in both dramas
Jinyan is MUCH lighter and not as well made
If you like Jin Yan, Moonlight is a much better interpretation of a similar storyline

- Both are beautiful touching dramas super addicting dramas <3
-The first lead (WWX) in The The Untamed is a playful hot prince of the cultivation world, and the first lead in Love in the Moonlight is a prince: kindhearted, selfless, smart and cheeky..... :))
-Unique BEAAAUUTIFUL romance
ENJOY ;) <3
I would say rather than similar, they contrast quite a lot. While Moon Lovers has a darker and more complicated plot, Love in the Moonlight is just what you would like to watch after crying because of Episode 20 of Moon Lovers. It will make you smile because of the cute love story, though of course, you will also cry.
