This bite sized drama should definitely be on your watch list! It is short and sweet though the story does not feel rushed at all. It could have been a movie in my opinion but it doesn't matter that much. The romance was very cute and sweet but my favourite moments were definitely the comedy scenes! xD I was laughing or at least chuckling at many of them – my most favourite one would definitely be the one with riding a horse to the tune of Gangnam Style. :D The ending was bittersweet but it suited the drama very well. All You Want From a Full-Length Drama in Two Episodes!
A high school girl ends up running off as it rains to skip her SATS and vanishes into a puddle only to be transported into the Joseon past! Dan Bi, your average high schooler with doubts and dreams of the future, finds herself in the Joseon dynasty and having to use her modern-day wits and knowledge of math and science from high school to keep herself useful to the king. This story is sweet and manages to fulfill all the wants you tend to have from a drama, all packed into two episodes! There's adventure, romance, and even two assassination attempts! It's a great romp from start to finish, and it has a happily ever after, too! Couldn't have asked for more! Am delighted I managed to randomly see this!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A real gem
A period piece with just two episodes - a gem of a drama to watch in between longer dramas; fluffy and fun. It would have made an excellent series as there was a lot of material available such as exploring the development of all the main characters, deepening the relationship between the M/F leads but what was created in the two episodes was excellently portrayed and I loved the ending.. thank goodness! Shame it was over all too soon though.Definitely put this on your to watch list - you won't regret it.

A story you will never forget for the rest of your life
Practically a movie, 2 hours and 20 minutes running time. I would say that by approaching this from an episodic method, they were able to tell the story in a simple and yet very touching way. If they turned this into a movie, it wouldn't have the same impact as the expectations and requirements for one is far different.This proves that great stories does not have to be long, it is the execution and delivery that matters. I also love how they embedded the importance of studying mathematics and science--something that students need to understand--by throwing a modern student into the past where their survival lies on it, just as how important these are today.
I can't believe I only discovered this today. I will never forget this story for the rest of my life.

The Story
I always love things with something supernatural about it. And a trip to the past )or future) always makes me excited and worried on how our writers will manage to make the main couple together. The story is straightforward as described in the synpsis.
The Cast
I don't usually watch mini dramas but I can't miss a Kim Seul-gi show. I've watched her since Flower Boys Next Door and truly knows how hilarious she can be so I am definitely following her. It is kind of challenging to think that she is THE main lead for this drama since she is just a supporting character in her previous dramas (though she is a lead in Oh My Ghostess, she didn't actually get the guy). I keep on picturing all her funny antics but really, she just acts amazingly. She can be very funny and sympathetic in her characters. I don't know much about Yoon Doo-joon but he has great chemistry with Kim Seul-gi (reunion, please!)
The Music
Not really a critic of music (I don't even understand the Korean songs) but I appreciate that I didn't feel bored while watching this.
Rewatch Value
It won't hurt much to rewatch a 2-episode drama, right?

The story is quite simple. A girl ends up in the past and is stuck there until the next rain comes. This doesn't come without a few issues here and there, of course. The plot doesn't entail much more but considering the drama is only a little over 2 hours, it is just perfect. It's a story where you don't have to expect a lot of twists and turns and drama in order to enjoy the ride.
Romance and comedy were the main focus, next to the historical part and I think the drama did well on balancing it out. The only bit of supernatural that occurs is the time travel though.
The story allowed for a few good laughs and the romance had a nice pace in build-up throughout the two hours. It was touching and cute, allowing for a few tears along the second half of the story because I had gotten so wrapped up in it.
And I like the moral/lesson that's hidden inside it. That you can do far more when you really put your mind into it. It definitely gives a bit of a boost there.
Acting/Cast
They delivered a great job for sure! I think the plot/jokes wouldn't have been half as amusing had it not been for the actors. Thumbs up, because I don't often find myself laughing so hard about comedy. So for me, that is always a tell-tale sign.
The only issues I had with the acting was the female lead. Sometimes she annoyed me, but compared to some other drama's I've seen.. I guess she wasn't half as bad. The actress did well on delivering her role regardless. It were only a handful of scenes I didn't enjoy the character she played.
Music
This was actually the part where I feel most critical. The instrumental OST I enjoyed well along with the scenes, but half of the songs that had vocal weren't quite to my taste. I can understand why they were chosen, but it just didn't help me get a feel. But considering this drama is so short, I couldn't really feel upset about it. I did really love one of the final songs, sung by Ahn Hyo Seop.
Rewatch value
Absolutely! It's a simple drama without too many surprises and once you've seen it, you've seen it. But would I enjoy it again? Yes, I definitely would! No doubt it would make me laugh and smile again when I do. But it would not have anything new to offer a second round.
Overall, I'm very happy to have seen this drama. It was short and perfect to fill my need for Romance! It was everything I expected of it. Better even - because it proved to be far more amusing than I had thought. (I really don't often laugh out loud when it comes to comedy.)

The perfect distraction
For sheer escapism, laughter and a few tears, this short 2-episode drama is perfect.A lovely cast that didn't ham it up, but acted well, even though it was a light hearted comedy.
Well written and a lot of story, very neatly packaged.
Nothing here to upset anyone about how a real Joseon King was portrayed either! 😉
I loved the bloopers at the end too, which suggested the cast enjoyed making this and it showed.
Added to my very short list of uplifting, feel good dramas to watch again, when I am ever in need of a pick-me-up.

It's so funny and heartwarming it really makes you wanna go back to it.
This particular mini drama series how should we call it, gives off such an amazing vibe that always draws me back to it whenever I feel like I have nothing to watch.
Ridiculously good in my opinion, completely fictional but the historical element plays with your brain and leaves you at awe.
I really could not recommend anything more.

Confrontation dynamique et amusante entre deux époques
Avec l'adaptation chinoise qui arrive prochainement, j'ai eu envie de revoir ce drama qui m'avait tant emballé quelques années plus tôt. Un second visionnage tout aussi amusant !C'est un drama simple, mais riche qui jongle entre histoire, comédie et romance. La confrontation entre deux époques apporte du dynamisme tant dans la façon dont le scénario se joue que l'interaction entre les personnages. En deux heures, Kim Ji Hyun délivre une belle histoire simplifiée avec une touche d'Histoire (notamment les débuts du hangeul) sans pour autant négliger sa comédie et sa romance qui progressent en rythme.
L'ensemble de la distribution est brillante. Yoon Doo Joon en tant que roi est un mélange d'amusement et de convictions. Kim Seul Gi dépeint une adolescente flemmarde, mais débrouillarde, parfois un peu bête et attachante, sans jamais tomber dans le cliché. Difficile de ne pas mentionner l'un de mes acteurs préférés, Go Gyu Pil, un habitué des seconds rôles qui, pourtant, apporte toujours du corps à ses personnages. Je pense également qu'il s'agit d'un des meilleurs rôles de Ahn Hyo Seop. En soit, les personnages sont excellents avec quelques enjeux ici et là, mais sans tomber dans les stéréotypes d'aujourd'hui.
En fait, ce qui est formidable avec Splash Splash LOVE, c'est la façon dont l'histoire n'a besoin que de deux heures. Aujourd'hui, les drames (historiques ou non) sont longs (parfois lents) avec de nombreuses scènes inutiles ou des intrigues usées et clichées. Des dramas qui sont difficiles à terminer ou avec lesquels on doit jouer de l'avance rapide. Pourtant, la réalisatrice démontrait déjà en 2015 qu'une histoire de 02 épisodes peut être toute aussi complète qu'une histoire de 16 ou 20 épisodes. Ce qui en fait un drame agréable à (re)voir.
Bref, Splash Splash LOVE est un sageuk qui mêle comédie, romance et Histoire. Avec un casting brillant, l'histoire garde son rythme et démontre que le chemin le plus court est parfois le meilleur pour raconter son histoire.
