The movie makes me felt extremely sad. The way the Japanese army treated the Korean girls was so cruel and merciless. I sincerely hope that there will be a person to lend a helping hand to the girls. Despite living in such worse situation, the girl did not give up on her life. She was strong in continuing her life by overcoming all the problems. I was so impressed with her determination. In conclusion, the movie Spirits' Homecoming was truly heartbreaking and meaningful.

After I watch this movie, I feel like this was a heart-breaking movie. I feel very sad and angry to watch this movie. I feel very grateful that I was born in an era of peace. During the Japanese occupation of North Korea (1905-1945), the Japanese army began to "kidnapped" young girls to use them as prostitutes and one of the victim is Jung-Min. At the beginning of the movie, we can see that Jung min lives in a complete family and lives a carefree life every day. However, Japanese soldiers had taken her away to become the prostitutes when she was 14 years old. In that time, she is still a minor woman. It make us very angry to see this kind of situation. I remember that at the middle of the movie Jung-Min suddenly passed out and was taken to the medical room. The doctor judged that she was fainted because of the first physiological period. This happened after he was taken away. From my opinion, Jung-Min mother would have taught her how to deal with it and would not lead to her own fainting or not paying attention to her first physiological period if she was not taken away at that time. Not only that, the Japanese soldiers are so disrespectful to girls at that time. Every day, they beat the girls without any reason, forced them to work hard, and also sexually assaulted many underage teenagers. This really makes me feel very sad and disappointed. But from another perspective, we found that Jung-Min is a girl who is very friendly and very kind. I remember that part of the movie was when Jung-Min took his friend to run away, and a friend of Jung-Min accidentally got caught. At that time, Jung-Min chose to run back to accompany her friends and get caught back instead of leaving his friends to escape. This is the only thing that makes me very happy to watch this movie.
