All events and emotions in this show are extreme. The heroine is so downtrodden and codependent that I found it hard to sympathize with her. She didn't seem to love her husband; she was codependent and unwilling to control her own life. In the first episode, I was frustrated because it seemed she had the power to make her life better and chose not to do it. I was exhausted by the end of episode two. It was too melodramatic for my tastes. I didn't like any of the characters and episode two made it worse. Benching it for now.
