The Original. The Best. The ONLY. Nothing is superior to this version. Nothing.

The Kdrama (Boys of Over Flowers), the TWdrama (Meteor Garden), the Dizilier (Waiting for the Sun or Gunesin Kizlari) are copies of this version of Hana Yori Dango.

Yes, one and all. This version was so famous all over Asia it made it's way to Turkey; ie the Dizilier. Japan did that. Not Korea. Therefore, the manga and this Jdorama is something to take into consideration. It has two parts and a movie. One of the greatest and most successful manga-anime to live action Japan has made.

I came here for Zhang Han. Find out why you came here...it might be for the pairings or for Zhang or out of boredom. But if you've loved HYD...you might like this one. Personally, I'm only loyal to HYD.

Blatantly pimped throughout each episode of this first part of the Cupid Series. The lead female character, Toey's character, Hunsa, loves Sailor Moon (I loved it too---long live Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter).

As we all know. Usagi was a bit slow on the uptake and Darien was a smart hottie, also known as, Tuxedo Mask. Tuxedo Mask was a jerk to Sailor Moon, Darien less so to Usagi. But I mean totally brutalized her with insults. Hard core bullying. So that fits right in to where the storyline was going as far as the relationship dynamic in this story at times.

Darien was very intelligent. I believe he had a scholarship for college, while Usagi was failing---I remember on one test she had a 10%. However, she has a good heart and she cares about people.

As I mentioned previously with Naoki's from Itazura na Kiss --- Usagi and Hunsa are massive crybabies.

The live action was a hit, although I hated it. But the anime's are brilliant.

Highly intelligent man who is extremely disciplined and unapproachable meets a girl who's his complete opposite. She is far from the brightest bulb---actually she's a broken bulb, highly emotional, but sweet and endearing. His IQ is genius level and he is able to memorize things on site. Lead female can't even speak Thai properly.

Much like in Itazura na Kiss the female character seems to embroil the lead male into a series of unfortunate events. All of which he needs to bail both of them out of. Perfect example---they need fresh water-- he ends up creating it out of salt water is similar to when Kotoko burnt the food and Naoki had to make dinner.

If you look at the picture; they made sure the image was reminiscent of ALL the Itazura na Kiss live-action posters ---Toey fits in perfectly, in physical features (if you look at the pic), with majority of the other girls who have revised the role of Kotoko Aihara.

All My Favorites listed in Order:
*Ariel Lin (Personal Fave-Everyone after copied her performance)
*Manaying Sushar (Brilliance--Just Wow!) <-Biggest Resemblance
<------ Toey is now here!
*Reina Visa
*Chuo Genie
*Miki Honoka
-------------------
**I don't like the Kdrama version so it's not included in anything.

Thai Version - Kiss Me
Original Japanese version - Itazura na Kiss
Taiwanese - It Started With a Kiss (personal best)
Japanese Jdoramas - Itazura na Kiss - extended name (ex. Love in Tokyo
Japanese Movie - Mischievous Kiss
China - Say that You Love Me
etc...over and over and over remake.

One simple aspect music and musician and student. In the Hippie is a student too, but hey. There is great music in both and the lead actor in both composed the music and wrote the songs and sung them and performed them. So it's just fitting that it's here. However, Hippie is far from a liar. He's ridiculously raw and straightforward. This is on the superficial level of just music and rock.

The most comparable: A comedy story about a teenage girl who runs into mysterious happenings through her communicating with ghosts. Asuka suddenly develops her supernatural ability after her traffic accident. While trying to help make ghosts' wishes come true, she falls in love with a mysterious guy named Kaito who turns out to be an incarnate ghost.

I think Ghost Friends is a nice show version.

***Based on all the shows I've listed...I noted I've watched way way way too many of these types of shows.

This is slightly different. Voice is a criminal show. The special thing here is that the lead female character was in a car accident as a child and developed an ability to hear the smallest sounds from very far away. An extremely advanced skill. Almost like a dog. The way Mon described herself, like her skill is dog like in smelling ghosts and she gained it after a car accident as a child.

Both were in accidents so they developed a specific ability that helped them to gain an ability with scents. This girl can see scents to decipher and find clues. In the case of Mon, she smells scents of ghosts.

First off can I say, I'm surprised no one mentioned this one. There is Galileo 2 but I never watched b/c Utsumi wasn't the lead.

This is a perfect example. Nanba (Hard Nut) is a student at Tokyo University for Mathematics. Yukawa (Galileo) is an assistant physics professor at Tokyo University. You'll notice the same campus scenes.

Tomoda (Hard Nut) is a straitlaced police detective presented with cases that need a mathematical need---leading to predictions on the killer. While, Utsumi (Galileo) is a straitlaced police detective presented with cases that need a physics understanding in order to predict the killer.

One glaring difference. Nanba is far more excited by the crimes while Fukawa is snobbish & void of any excitement. Tomoda is a bit more concerned for justice while Utsumi is highly sensitive for each crime.

Slight flirtation is found in both shows---well in Hard Nut it's one sided; in Galileo, it's clearly reciprocated.

If you liked or loved Hard Nut then you'll love Galileo and vice versa. This versio is basically, as I said before, is the same story but with a younger pair in Hard Nut with an interesting approach. You'll love it.
