it wasn't a bad show and i enjoyed some parts of it but what rlly made the show enjoyable was the second lead couple definitely!! main couple's story becomes boring after awhile :/ the hero complex the male lead seem to have .. the story of wanting to save everyone's business yea i got bored of that it was more focused on that than the growth of the main couple i couldnt feel any chemistry between them at all LoL

the second leads on the other hand had evident character growth which the main leads lack and they were so fun to watch i literally skip most of the parts of an episode and watch only their part

somehow its so good,,???

did not expect to be this engaged with SOKP because i dropped it after ep5, but i decided to give it another chance and im so glad i did!!

i thought the politics and revenge plot would be boring but it was well written & well paced through out that i actually sat through the whole show without skipping a lot of scenes (even with the supporting roles and im the type to skip a lot of sr scenes when i watch other dramas if they're not interesting). this show rly takes the cake for me bc i cried during the partings and felt frustrated when theres a conflict LOL. i was really genuinely locked in with the show. though the romance between MLs started late it was not a problem at all since the plot was good enough to keep me going. high budget, good castings & great plot from start to end. ZLH's character could be overbearing but its really just how he was build for it lolz everyone in the show had interesting characters

the plot was genuinely interesting to me and its a good show to binge when you're bored. dont have much complaints on this one except for shangque ,, what a useless character he really gets nothing done. aand also how dongfang qincang's character just ends up being a softie after he fell in love, i guess its part of having his emotions back but it was weird to see how it progressed. the story could have been better but its still very much worth a watch! i understand why this show has high ratings. side characters actually contributed to the plot :D barely any scenes to skip (except the ones with ronghao bc he annoys me)

devastating

this movie was not easy to watch , i had to pause in between scenes to stop myself from going manic. what makes me sick is that this movie is based off true events and right now i am still trying to process everything from finishing the movie less than 5 minutes ago. it was heartwrenching throughout the whole movie. it is definitely not for just anyone to watch as you need to be mentally prepared as the events are triggering.

im still super pissed at the verdict given to the culprit because what the fuck ?? only 12 years after damaging a kid physically AND mentally that is costing her her whole life yet he only gets... 12 years... of prison.. because he was intoxicated with alcohol... when he did it.. hearing the words he said during the trial made me sick to my stomach, knowing he did what he did but still claiming to be innocent MY GOD ! headache just thinking about it..

the right amount of everything

no doubt for this show's originality. it was really refreshing to watch something about politics and not in the way most k-dramas portray it (which is usually super dark) honestly thought i wouldnt even sit past 5 episodes but i just kept on watching and suddenly im on the last episode ? where did the time go..

i've seen nana in kill it & that was super great btw which is how i found out abt this show and the poster alone looks interesting to me. i've never bothered to read the synopsis and honestly thought this show was about boxing or something LOL it was funny when i realized its about politics. this show had a consistent pace to the end which most dramas fail to have and its one of the reasons why i even managed to watch it till the end WITHOUT skipping scenes too !! probably the only entertaining drama about politics that isnt boring.

I don’t have much to say regarding this drama because it was genuinely a good one to me and I loved every bits and wits of it. Its definitely worth the watch and I would recommend this to people.

manwol is the only interesting character

The cast list & the guest roles were amazing and acting was superb & despite being one of the most hyped dramas it was so underwhelming , i couldn't bother to watch the side stories (which takes up a lot of the episodes) lol i skipped almost all of it bc it was super unnecessary. ghost hunting and all sheesh who's got the time!

romance between manwol & chansung were Meh , manwol's characteristics was too strong for her to end up with chansung tbh they could've made him someone of her level (of characteristics) because he was so boring to me .. romance seems forced tbh don't really feel it there.

how they resolved manwol's grudge? what the hell was that 3 minutes of standing & looking at eachother? she held on to that grudge for 1300 years just for it to end like that? lol they could've at LEAST made it more dramatic. even the side characters have longer stories on how they resolve their grudges!

overall the best part of this drama is manwol (and her outfits) & the most interesting part is her past with cheongmyung & yeonu . i would've definitely rated this drama higher if they focused more on that. lee dohyun did an amazing job in portraying his character despite being a rookie at that time omg loved it so much. their story was the only one that made me cry lol

i contemplated a lot on whether to drop this drama or not but i didn't because i wanted to see how it all ends but ???? so so underwhelming. could've been so much better

it had a good start and the main couple was really cute i admit that, i love them they might be the most mentally stable couple ever but that's the thing, when the characters are too normal it doesn't bring the story anywhere. i realized there was nothing more to the plot once they started going out, i love all of the casts personally but the plot was rather underwhelming. glad i dropped it so i wouldnt have to waste 10 hours of my life watching nOThing happen. its very lighthearted and stressfree but i dont think its worth to be 20 episodes. also i searched up the writer and the dramas she has written r all boring @__@ to me at least.

expectations met!

started watching this with high expectations and im glad that my expectations were met. an intriguing show from start to finish with amazing chemistry between all casts!! no unnecessary characters, i love how everyone did something for the plot lol. the story felt well written and the pacing of it was genuinely good, i did not feel bored at all throughout watching all 34 episodes & that is rare since this show does involve court politics but it was rly well balanced i didnt feel like it was unnecessary or draggy. dont think i even need to talk about dou zhao & song mo because everyone knows how good they were portrayed and the romance between them. really worth the watch! its actually main character centric LOL not like some shows that puts the second leads out too much

ok first thing that i like ab this show is that i love love loooove the development LR & PWX had. love how PWX AAALWAYS reassures LR that he is for her & would literally die than live without her. my girl just has a lot of trust issues bc of all the things she's been through and i'm glad for PWX's character for not creating more headaches for her and always being there for her. and i couldn't imagine anyone else but ZLH playing that role ! i feel like the main leads did a really great job potraying the characters. i could literally go on about them bc they were so!! memorable!!

plot was interesting until SRQ/SML became the main part of the plot LOL i feel like it shouldn't have been dragged for that long. during the final episode he had more lines than PWX did ? which was funny bc tbh i couldn't care less about him. his obsession w the princess was weird, can't stop reminding her that he's in love with her like ok.........noted. the politics are just the usual tbh.. wish there were more scenes w the ML without it cutting to SRQ on to the next scene, but i'm satisfied enough with what's given (and i also have our generation to look forward to ZJM & ZLH together heheh). the second lead's couple(s) story urmmmz it was interesting at the start but then it was just bland (at least to me). feel like i skipped through a lot of scenes once it was ep20-25 because there were a few draggy scenes @_@ would've been perfect without the dragging or if it was a 26-30 ep show i tink
