Shu Yi's BFF and her interesting open relationship with Guan Ji

Funny to see the different relationships in this drama. Hoping we get to see character growth in the drama though it's lacking in the novel. Either way, I'm loving seeing Bailu and Wang Hedi costar in a modern drama together.

Slow burn and lots of bits added that were not in the novel

Nice to see that our leads acknowledge their relationship now. Lots of typical tropes including the CEO bf saving our Shu Yi from street pervs and making it back to the hotel then parting with a chaste kiss.

Interesting premise

Of course it's fiction, but loved that we got to see an interesting start with this first episode.

A rush to bring things to a close.. but not really ready to

Limiting this to 40 episodes was not enough for certain minute details of the story to play out for the audience to understand. So thankful to those who read the novel and shared helpful parts of the plot to help make sense of certain scenes.

Every episode has been a 10

This drama evokes some strong feelings in a lot of viewers. They either hate or love it and it's hard to find a middle ground, but part of the anger/hate is tied up in the nearly relentless pain the male lead has experienced. Many project/take on the feelings and sympathize his sad life and plight. To be able to emote each of those character's feelings on screen is absolutely amazing. The actors involved have done a spectacular job which I hope they're recognized for..

Getting closer to the end

I wish so much they gave our leads a break, but understand that's the plot and it's fiction. Needed to wake up and "touch grass" to get a bit of clarity. In this episode, we see Cang Jiumin's identity exposed at the "Devil god's fetus" and the man cannot get a break. He learns of Li Susu's sacrifice in taking the evil bone into her body.

More of the Demon god's two loyal sides

Seeing Jing Mei's secret crush on Si Ying placed these two in a new special ship for me. Did not have the same feeling of dislike for these "villains". The actress portraying Si Ying has been somewhat typecasted as the villainous female. Unlike in Ashes of Love, she brought out a different feeling here and I liked her character more than the 2nd female lead in this drama.

The unmentionable couple..

Honestly don't care about Mo Nv or what she supposedly was supposed to bring to this story. All I know is that she caused most of the damage leading our main couple to not have a happy ending after any of their marriages. That, plus, the toxic fanwars going on behind the scenes and the water armies doing their best to steer viewers away from this production. Deng wei's character was not given a chance to flesh out and get us to bond with. Chen Du Ling's character didn't put forth much in terms of acting more than a white lotus, but the damage was enough.

Cang Jiumin and sect life

On his mission to find the LSS for a drop of her blood, not knowing she was previously inhabiting Ye Xi Wu's body, Tantai Jin joins the sect and his caring sifu/master guides him and gives him a new life and name.

The tower "jump"

We see our male lead, Tantai Jin, realize his love for the Ye Xi Wu/Li Susu. He learns of her taking on the cursed jade and exchange his damaged eye. Turning point of the story and it's another rush of feelings watching and taking it all in.

Our poor upright heroic general

Sadness multiplied watching the love our little fox demon has for Ye Qing Yu and her willingness to give up her cultivation for him. Her devastating loss of life changes him, but instead of turning evil himself, he remains stalwart and strong.

Our little fox demon's story

The love line between our young general and little fox is heartfelt and his acknowledgement of her previous relationship and support made me adore this couple next to our leads.

Our YXW/LSS and little fox

One of the best relationship in this drama is between Ye Xi Wu/Li Susu and our powerful little fox demon. I love how she guides our FL on how to deal with her man. The friendship both on and off screen makes me adore this adaptation even more.

so funny!

All of the guests are fun and I love the interaction of the cast. Bailu and Zhou Shen's friendship is the best. AngelaBaby is beautiful and great at the missions.

All the sweetness building up between TTJ and YXW

Preparing to get double the heartache compared to all the sweetness we're being fed. So much anxiety for the episodes that are about to come up and we're all back to angst.
