A slog

I really, really wanted to like it. And I really, really could not. I kept at it because the premise is so promising: A woman gains a ridiculous power with which she can help solve a serious crime. It could have been a unique combination of humor and seriousness, but -- to me -- it failed to deliver.
The humor is sophomoric (and I am being kind here); some of the characters simply do not make sense (what is the deal with Bong's friend, the actress who played the younger sister in One Spring Night -- and whom I have loved in everything I have seen her in until now!); Moon is a HORRIBLE detective (and, of course, has a tragic history he is hiding) and is consistently unpleasant toward Bong; the main leads have absolutely no chemistry at all -- but we know they are destined to be together.
And, finally -- what is it with the main character, a vet, not wanting to work? It seems like she does not like animals at all....
I simply could not make it past episode 7.

Have a feeling will rewatch this a few times

Writing the review before I finish watching the entire series because I am liking it so much just now, and am afraid that the ending will somehow spoil it -- and it is definitely worth the time!
First of all: The acting by the main leads is phenomenal.
Second: (So far) all of the subplots make sense and fit with the overall story.
Third: It's easy and enjoyable to watch; no cringe worthy scenes or dialogues.
Fourth: The main leads are what one would call "normal" working people. The more I review, the more I discover that the this is important to me -- that the characters not be "the exceptional" or the super rich and famous -- not only is it more relatable if they are "normal", it is also inherently more interesting to me, because it then tends to focus on the actual human interactions more.
In terms of the negatives (so far): Not sure if it's a product placement issue, but the emphasis on women's makeup was a little weird in a few places. And there was the obligatory shirtless scene by the male lead (a lovely view, no doubt, but kind of out of place IMHO).
Still -- I am hoping that the ending continues to be as good because I am already looking forward to rewatching the earlier episodes.

It should be more enjoyable watching it, but it is not

The premise of the show, the actors' activity level, and script, all make it seem like it should be a light and sprightly show, a pleasant watch for a weekend. But, somehow, it is not. I am not skilled enough in analyzing the components of shows to be able to point out the exact reason. It SHOULD all work, but -- to me, at least -- it does not.
One thing that keeps coming up in kdramas is the completely unrealistic portrayal of workplaces. I know, I know -- no one watches them for the workplace.

Another messed up relationship dynamic

Just three episodes in, but I find myself literally unable to watch more.
The positives:
* The acting is actually quite good, IMHO -- the female lead is (appropriately) reserved and careful; the male lead youthfully smiling and happy. I actually love the secondary characters in this quite a bit -- their stories are ones that I might actually want to know more about :)
* The weather component of the show really captures attention! One positive thing about the Netflix Kdramas lately is that they are based in unusual and interesting settings, so that one learns a little bit about these different jobs that are all around but we don't think about much.
* The visual feel of the show is very nice.
Now for the negatives - listed in order of their awfulness:
* The relationship between the leads: It's not the age difference (not a big one, and its existence will likely play a role in later episodes), or lack of chemistry between them (again, we do not expect that at the start of the show -- it's supposed to develop) -- it's the work dynamic between the two. As a female executive, I felt revulsion from the very start -- to begin with, he calls her emotional, goes over her head, and acts pretty much like every stereotype of an overbearing guy in the workplace. And, of course, there are no real consequences to his actions. And she just lets it go! Completely forgotten by episode 3. Frankly, that did it for me -- I cannot imagine a circumstance under which an actual woman would ever get together with a man who did something like this.
* The two "exes" in the show are so atrociously repulsive as to be completely unbelievable. These are people our leads have known for years (decades in the case of the ex-boyfriend) -- and just now is when they find out what horrible people they are? Again -- completely unrealistic -- no one can "play" nice for 10+ years. It would take much too much energy, for one thing.

I am willing to suspend disbelief for a good show, but these two negatives are simply asking way too much.
