Five Stars

There’s nothing more touching than to finally witness Nut and his Mom taking a huge step to the ladder of distance set among themselves. The awkwardness is incomparable to the joyful heart they felt after engaging in each others’ warm embrace. Moving apart, how does Prib emerge from the fact that Tarn and Nut used to be lovers? I felt like I skipped an episode when she suddenly went to Nut’s house, dragged Tofu along with her, and notified him concerning Tatarn. Then, jealous Tofu immerses in a childish yet comedic approach combining reality and entertainment elements in storytelling is likable. I melted like an ice cream having contact with the sun’s rays when Kuenchai asked for a spot for himself along with the rest of the family to tag him to their travels. He is definitely the fluffiest dog in a Lakorn show. The greatest contribution why the show keeps getting more and more loveable is due to the artistic uses of words from their script or lines. It was so pleasing the moment they talked about history and flowers, connecting it to their real life situations. Why does it feel like they’re trying to slowly prepare ourselves for a tragedy? The show possibly ended up losing Tofu over Tatarn’s regaining his conscious. Conveying the message that fairy tales don’t exist and we will eventually end up going back to reality. My cup of tea conclusion, painful yet acceptable and memorable.

An episode that educates the general public

A Miracle of Teddy Bear is that kind of drama who uplifts, inform, educate, and enlighten the general public about the world of a person falling in love with the same sex. The show was reported to be the first Lakorn BL to be aired in a national television channel in Thailand. That took this chance to build a bridge on bringing out the difficulties, barriers, and emotional damage that criticism works on gay people. The explanation about the generation gap is on point. I also do believe that the reason why majority of the older people are against same sex relationship is simply because of how society told them to be. In which, children born into this new generation are more introduced to the freedom of choices and such things that allows them to identify their gender by themselves alone. But until now, LGBTQ+ Community is far away from living a world without experiencing a brutal approach from some homophobic individuals.Nut’s harsh action and using Tofu as a trigger to his Mom was certainly bad. But we are all aware of the reason behind. This is not a statement defending Nut’s grim personality. His anger is valid and his parents are at fault here. Yes, his father is a nuisance and annoying person with a toxic masculinity. Yet, it is also frustrating that his mother, who he considers to be the closest to, wouldn't be able to raise a help for him but instead tries to turn a blind eye and pushes that his child is like any other normal guy out there. Feels like Tofu will be the one who will close the gap between the sour history of the mother and son tandem. Some extra details from this episode that I needed to say something about are stated in this paragraph. The thing I can’t help but to get a little bit annoyed about is when Tofu suffers. P’Nut is hard to please and our poor baby can’t help but to accomplish Nut’s demands. The lunch scene was somehow disrespectful to Gen’s parents but fortunately it ended up with a piece of advice and realization of the mistakes. Tarn is a nice guy who colors the gloomy world of Nut. Reminiscing the bittersweet high school love story was a great memory of Nut’s past because despite the depressing world he lived in at his house, he had someone who let him feel the exact opposite. A world bigger than home, a world that changed his life. Lastly, Tofu printed shirts keep getting cuter and cuter in each episode.

Another episode that is wholesome and heartwarming

We witness how important conversation is in one’s life. Opening your heart to talk about your honest feelings is courageous and deserving of an applause, that finally you’ve been released from the uneasy emotion that keeps dwelling inside you. Mrs. Na and Nut’s short yet heavy exchange of words during the surprise birthday celebration emphasizes that the things in the past can slowly-but-surely resolve the emotional distress of the present. Along with Prib and her acceptance to end the one-sided love she had for P’Nut. I like how careful Nut is in choosing the right words on declining one’s love because rejecting someone is as hard as being rejected. For me, the best thing that happened from this episode is the deep talk between Song and his dad. The fact that Song is indirectly vocal to his dad about the unfair treatment he felt was great. It is way better than hiding and owning the problem by yourself, that mostly happens in most teenagers. We can’t blame Song for comparing his life to his deceased brother, Neung. In the end, it was touching to see that the dad realized his lack of considering Song’s emotion. He is 18 years old, not too young and too old to perceive favoritism, even old people tend to feel this kind of treatment in their life. I also like the advice that Gen’s mother gave to Song, the hug was also comforting.Going back to Nut’s birthday celebration, it’s so cute that Tofu’s bonus gifts were a kiss and a night spent in Nut's room that continues in the next few nights. The story behind Mrs. Na initiating to wash the bedsheet and Tofu rejecting it was too funny, we all knew it right? HAHAHA. Satisfying to see homophobic people such as Jan and the school teacher being clapbacked by our boys. Just like what Tofu says to Nut, “Love is not the problem” it’s the people themselves who put criticism for two men falling in love. I also understand where Nut’s emotion comes from. We all don’t want to be put under a spotlight that says negative things about us. On the good side, contented to sight Mrs. Na’s happy expression upon seeing his boys and their lovey-dovey scenes. The story still has many mysteries to unveil. I am scared of the possible chance that Tofu might transform back into a motionless Teddy Bear.

Few thoughts on EP06

Too many things happened during this episode. Mostly happy vibes such as their first date, the drunk Tofu, the play under the rain, and taking good care of the sick Tofu. Not until Tofu’s few lines wrecked Nut’s contentment. “Your lips are sweet and soft like jelly” I don’t want to boost a hate to Nut since there is definitely a reason behind this. Despite that, I love to see the improvement of Mrs. Na’s condition. Still, I can’t give an exact proud theory on the adults’ confusing conflicts from the past. The show consistently gives us several unexpected plot twists and I’m all eyes for it to witness in the future. Additionally, the way they keep staring at each other inside the theater film is too cute to handle. However, Nut jealousy is half-good and half-bad. He was fine when he saw Tofu and Song’s slight clinginess but acted too harsh when someone approached Tofu for a selfie. Yet, I’m sensing a connection with his attitude from his past so I’m going to wait for it to be explained later on. This is what I like about the show, giving us a character that has a valid reason for their complicated emotions and trying to break down the walls that keep hurting them. Somehow, it reminds me of “Lovely Writer” but with the inclusion of fantasy as the difference. Moreover, The Miracle of Teddy Bear explicits a rarity of showcasing fresh and enjoyable ideas that I have never yet seen from other dramas.Based on this mini-review, you must say that I am a fan of using conjunctive adverb (moreover, however, etc.) too much hahahaha

A mini-review

One of the main posters from this show was taken during the ironing-of-clothes-scene which was pretty romantic despite its simplicity. Romantic realization and deep feelings are slowly getting developed. When Tofu said the lines, “I want to record my time with you, so it can be my memory” I knew the fact that sooner or later, Tofu will eventually vanish as a human and I’m not ready for that. Anyways, I’m loving those fluffy moments of a pestering Tofu that keeps asking for Nut’s acceptance on his boyfriend request on Facebook. Also, I'm happy to celebrate the official friendship between Kuenchai and Tofu in this episode. As usual, a single episode of The Miracle of Teddy Bear is incomplete without an angry Nut. I’m not condemning his actions since I can feel that his fuss is valid due to the past experiences he encountered.

Major explosion of plots every single episode

Another great episode. Gen and his parents are so loveable! The way the father initiates willingly to search for a boyfriend for his son is so cute. The entire family conversion is so comforting to watch. This episode also serves us hilarious scenes such as the no-underwear Tofu, being playful at the escalator, I-ate-your-ice-cream moment, picking a girl's undies, shopping for essential items, etc. And then we have this, they keep giving us a plot every single episode. This time, it's about the revelation of an identical twin who turned out to be Nut’s father and his Mom’s ex-boyfriend who is also the husband of their nosy neighbor. I swear I am almost surprised every time something big blows up. I don’t know anymore.

THE FANTASY LAKORN-BL THAT IS REALISTICALLY GREAT

The acting performance during the confrontation scene of the mother-and-son was outstanding. I can feel the drama and tension in their eyes. I never expected that they tackled this early about the absence of the father in the house and the reason why his mother is imagining that her husband still exists in their house. Nevertheless, that was good so that they can focus on more major plot twists in the show. I have my theories during the pilot episode but the revelation from the second episode produces loopholes in my previous wild guesses and now I don’t know what is going to happen in the future. This is the kind of drama that makes you feel excited since it triggers your brain about the outcome of the story. I like it so much! Focusing on the couple, there’s no dull moments ever since Tofu turned into a human. Those consecutive smiles of Tofu to Nut is the sweetest thing I keep seeing all throughout. The particular scene in which Nut ordered Tofu to leave his room and this cute guy opened the door then closed it a second later and tried to hide his presence by facing the wall beside the door is the fluffiest scene in this episode. The amount of butterflies Tofu sends to me is extraordinarily huge in number.

Way to start a show!

Got myself a new favorite show. With only its pilot episode aired, I’m loving the drama right away. To be honest, I never thought that The Miracle of Teddy Bear would turn out to be this great. Upon reading the synopsis, I thought that this will be another average Thai BL but my assumption is definitely incorrect. I have followed Inpitar on Instagram ever since the series was announced. I am head over heels towards In Sarin’s beauty and sexiness. Thanks to him, I came across one of the most exciting fresh ideas of fantasy-romance that was executed perfectly. Each crucial element in a film was done in this drama in the most suited way. The acting was phenomenal. As an avid watcher of Lakorn and Thai BLs, I’ve seen too many actors that can’t hold and perform a natural act from various famous dramas. But in this show, even Kuenchai -the cute dog, beat up a few actors in the industry with his outstanding acting. He is the dog that I want to keep for myself, an adorable and intelligent man’s best friend. In Sarin as the teddy bear who miraculously transformed into a human (or vice versa since I’m sensing a major plot) is the perfect role to play as the innocent-looking and eye-catching Tofu and Nueng. I love his little facial expressions, the gestures, the appeal, and his overall existence in this show. Job Thuchapon as Nut is another superb actor to be casted as the main character in the show. I didn't know him before the airing but right now, I will take extra efforts to support him because I felt like I am too late knowing such a talented actor exists in the industry. Their chemistry is soaring high and I’m going to be honest, I’m living my best life seeing too much skinships and skin exposures from the series.Feeling meh at first when the mother easily invited Tofu to their house but then the drama later on indirectly explained that she is either feeling lonely because of the absence of her husband and Nut’s rarity time in the house OR she is experiencing a mental condition. Nevertheless, I like her as a character to look forward to in the future. On the other hand, the comedic approach gives me numerous releases of smiles making the show excel in comedy. The funniest person in this show is that girl named Prib. She is so fluffy and her obsessiveness to Nut isn’t that annoying unlike the term ‘obsessed’ that is mostly inclined with negativity. Nice way of introducing the side couple too. There’s only a few moments of how they encountered each other for the first time but left humorous vibes the way Song keeps mentioning an older use of pronouns to Kensit (not sure with the names).A big round of applause to the cleverness of showcasing something new in terms of the fantasy element that circles the whole story around it. Nut in his highschool days had a crush on a popular basketball student named Nueng who can be Tofu in real life too, a creative reincarnation-related kind of plot. My theory is that Nueng died several years ago and that’s the moment when we saw Nut crying while holding the teddy bear. There is the possibility that Nueng gave it to him and when he shed his tears to the teddy bear, it resulted in the miracle of waking up objects who had a connection with Nut’s memories with Nueng. The same thing happened to the notebook when Nueng wrote something into it that was mostly about his first love. The rule is Nut tears can unconsciously grant life to a non-living thing when he shedded tears thinking about someone precious to him. I also felt like the rocking chairs and other woken things on the ground floor where the tears came from his mother who maybe thinks about her son or husband. Anyways, it is obvious that I deeply appreciated the mysteries and fantasy flow of the story.Nice editing, cinematography, and soundtracks too. Absolutely perfect! All of these single handedly happened in one episode alone. Worthy to all the praises that the show keeps receiving from the greatness of it. You can even see it the way I manage to write a long episode review from this one. If this show consecutively manages to offer a top-tier episode, the possibility of taking the throne of my favorite Thai or even Top 10 all time drama will happen.
