A Slice Of Life BL

With this show, I was at first like. Wtf was that intro... I kinda loved it though! I love that Valen is literally robbing Kaitoon in the first shot and now were shipping them. It's so BL and reminded me a lot of HIStory Trapped. Minus a really strong set of story lines. This show wasn't bad, but it definitely could've used some padding for the plot and cutting of filler.

Peat looks like a discount Mew lol (in his pic on here at least). Whereas in the show he looks completely different? Was I the only one that noticed this!? Anywayssss, ooh damn side couple past drama but then it leading up to them having make up sex! That's something I haven't really seen in a BL! Also 2 YEARS he left with no word tf. Depression is a very real thing and extremely difficult to cope with without proper treatment. It sucks though that Peat felt like he had to deal with it alone. As well as hurting his boo in the process. Which is totally understandable, anybody would be hurt after essentially being abandoned. It seems like too there will be a love triangle situation going on with them. Which could be very interesting in the second part of this. I'm not sure if I want these 2 to get back together or for them to move on?

Let's talk about our mains. Initially I thought Nont was so cute and keeps taking care of Kaitoon. But then that quickly shifted, I honestly think Nont needs therapy. Because he's so sad all the time! Relationships cannot replace therapy! Also Kaitoon ends up doing the same for Valen, taking care of him. So my feelings changed very quickly. Also Kaitoon is so tiny and adorable, seeing him and Valen's relationship shift was very satisfying. Everything else going on besides our main and side couple I didn't care about in the slightest. 2 scenes that stood out were:The birthday cake thing, it was super sweet. And the waves scene at the end was very nice, leading into them holding hands. A pretty good ending to lead into part 2!

Though this series isn't super memorable, its really cute! 6 episodes made for quick development. But since there's a second part coming out I have more hope! I do not understand the hate for this and never will!

This Show Had Me Say "I Do"...But Not Until The End

So, this show was a rollercoaster. Another haters to lovers type of storyline. But it never really got toxic or volatile which is good. At first, with Aaron's character Jin I was getting serial killer vibes with those gloves lol. But obviously that's not the case because its revealed about his allergy. Which did make for some cute scenes, but I question if that storyline was even needed? Because we still had the accident plot, which hits really close to Aaron's actual horrible thing he went through. Poor baby. Past that though, let's address the elephant in the room. You could never actually ban relationships from a work space lol thats a lawsuit. I know its a show, but there's some surrealism with that. It also never really had any repercussions so whatever!

Hank as Shi Lei was very sweet and adorable. At first I didn't know how to take his character, but he progressively grew on me. Though Jin was still a much more interesting character. I realized after a few eps that I had gotten really into this! Mostly because of Aaron but still! Him and Hank's chemistry did show itself quite well with what we had to work with. However, this is where some problems arose. This show is wayyyyyy too slow. Our poor main couple didn't honestly get the time they deserved overall, whereas our side couple was lit. They were so good! If we hadn't of had them this would've been a complete bust. I like watching their wholesome and sometimes...not so wholesome interactions lol.

Another thing was why are we introducing an "antagonist" so late? Like really!? The ex arch could've came in eps before and had the plan with Shi Lei carry out. That could've added for more development. Although, that last episode was SNATCHED holy crap hello R rating lmao! I legit thought I was hallucinating for sure. They were definitely holding out on us until the very end. That's the chemistry I wanted to see and was clearly there! So sweet and butterflies for sure. Really solid ending and we get side couple engagement cuteness!

Finally, random things. The scene of Shi Lei talking to his mom about caring for Jin was precious. As well as, hello cameo I've been waiting for from our king Wayne! Cannot wait for season 2 of MODC!!! I would say watch this for mostly the side couple and then the last couple eps. There's so much filler that isn't needed. Also the soundtrack has gotten stuck in my head :P

Log In And Never Let Me Go!

So let's talk about this! I really liked this concept. Showing how dating has been during the pandemic! As well as pandemic stuff that we've all been dealing with. It's a new and interesting way to showcase a BL storyline without the tropey stuff that were all used to. It also didn't get too stale with the zoom calls and other social media ways of showing progression in the story. It was paced well and ooh this series was really good!

Moving on to specifics about the story. The dad storyline had me so sad! Especially with the passing from covid and the circumstances of Cai's guilt. That was such an interesting take on the coming out story. Though tragic I loved the conversation it brought up between our two boys Cai and Gav. Feelings are valid and it wasn't his fault at all! Which btw his brother was so unwarranted in blaming his brother at all for dad getting sick. That made me so mad, but he did apologize afterwards so fine. The showing of the harsh realities though to this pandemic and live footage of workers and people coming out of the hospital got me though in the heart. I'm kinda glad I watched it now as opposed to before when it was so scary. My mental health probably couldn't have taken it. The conversation with the mom too was fantastic. She's a good actor first of all and her apologizing to her son for not gaining his trust enough to feel comfortable with coming out. Oof that one hit too!

Concerning secondary characters. Pearl was a queen, though a bit much sometimes I loved her! I'm so glad she wasn't a stereotypical "threat" to the relationship. She was actually a huge help the entire series AND an ex still! Which is great! We need more healthy relationships like that in shows. Also gotta say her telling Terrence's character not to use his mental health as an excuse for his actions was *chefs kiss amazing. Speaking of Terrence, though he was a total d*** at first I'm glad he got redemption for himself by the end. As well as Wesley's character. Noone was just a "villain" they had layers. Like onions lol. So when the intervention call happens with everyone on Zoom it was really good.

Onto the romance. Holy crap this relationship jumped off real quick! There's already jealousy and miscommunication at episode 2 lol! I wasn't expecting that but I guess I should've with an online started relationship. Other than the shocking speed, the romance was actually incredibly sweet and heartfelt. Though we get Cai being super hesitant and Gav is very persistent, it never felt out of place. The "baby"s were a lot after awhile lol but still very sweet! For a show with zero physical intimacy all throughout until literally the end, it was still believable! And it looks like the movie coming out (super excited for that) will delve into that physical stuff which is great and needed to continue the believability! The actors have chemistry but you can only do so much behind a screen in real life too until skinship is needed. How heartwarming it was though and kinda weird to see the actors in an actual room together with no masks on. Sure them meeting at the crosswalk was extremely sweet, but without the masks was special.

Other random stuff before I wrap up. This series had me DYING at times holy crap it was hilarious! The pillows...like come on and with the condom picture! Bro I can't! I will say one thing that semi-bothered me about this was Cai's computer funnily enough. Y'know for a "gamer" his desktop would have wayyyyyy more sh** on it lmao! Totally not believable how clean it was. Other than that, just little things here and there with the acting that could've been tweaked. As well as wanting more from the soundtrack overall. This series is fantastic and a breath of fresh air in the BL world! I cannot wait for the movie (which looks lit and shot really well) and the second season! It's in person now and I am stoked!

I Want More Of This All Day Every Day!

This series is stylistic and quirky. I absolutely loved every character in this, especially the 2 main leads. They added so much heart into their performances. Together as a couple they were super cute and relatable, thoughtfully done and totally believable with their chemistry. I think Shu Yi was my fave fave though. His character was hot headed but not in a toxic way. Once he's in something he's IN! So the relationship is so sweet. The plot narratives of feeling inferior, feeling left behind by friends dating, unrequited love, trying to overly succeed to garner the attention of another, doubting one's abilities. These are all great topics to explore and I wish we had even more time to unfold everything. But because of the time constraint everything moves by very fast. So there's absolutely zero filler. Random comment, Shu Yi's fashion game in this was spot on. Especially with the jewelry he wears! I wanted all of it so bad.

There's some really nice shots of internalized thoughts being shown symbolically in a shot. Like with the heart lights in the background. Underwater shots too that add to the visuals. The music is really nice in this. The bridge scene was one of my favorites, the bonding in the nurse's office, as well as the cousin coming in and helping his younger cousin get the boy. So adorable! Literally everything about "We Best Love: No.1 For You" is done extremely well and I'm curious as to how the second season will measure up. I'm hoping it doesn't fail to the second season curse!

Give This Series All Of The Messi Love It Deserves!

So I stumbled upon this series from Tik Tok actually lol. That sentence sounds so cringy, but it's true. Somebody had posted a clip of the show which was the car splashing scene between Bok Joo and Joon Hyung, I was dying from laughter. So I looked into more clips and knew I had to watch this series! The series is set up as this quirky and funny romantic comedy with sports mixed in, but it's actually much more than that. It's heartfelt, overwhelmingly sweet, explores serious topics and is incredibly bingable.

We've got 4 primary characters in this show. Bok Joo, Joon Hyung, Shi Ho and Jae Yi. There's other side characters as well, like the sadly sick dad and hot wise uncle who were tops as well. But these 4 are the main focus. All are really solid characters with interesting stories, but my favorites were Bok Joo, Joon Hyung and Shi Ho because of how layered they really are. Bok Joo is our MC and she's great. As a viewer you really root for her success, shes strong, sweet and hilarious. Very adorable. She can be shy but doesn't let it hold her back too much unlike a lot of other K-drama female leads that I've seen. Joon Hyung at first took some time to get used to. I didn't like how he called Bok Joo "fatty" at first and he was came off as quite arrogant. However, in episode 3 he completely redeemed himself punching those gross bar guys out. His plot points were mainly around swimming, mom problems and love interest for Bok Joo. I will say, these two had fantastic chemistry (Bok Joo & Joon Hyung) like seriously it hurt my face how much I loved these two and was grinning like an idiot whenever they interacted. I'm pretty sure these 2 actors are pretty close in real life (possibly dating) so makes sense!

Joon's mom arch though got me, his poor little heart dealing with his aunt and uncle replacing his mom. Ugh! This actor (Nam Joo Hyuk) was my favorite, he was really good at conveying various emotional ranges. Also he's freaking gorgeous, tall and his style was killer. There was a line later on in the series where he's like "try me out!" to Bok Joo and I took this very inappropriately. I meannnn I'm willing to take a ride lmao, totally not the context of the scene AT ALL but who can blame me? Moving onto my other top character, Shi Ho. I really liked that she wasn't just a crazy ex-girlfriend or a jerk. She's actually really cute and I felt for her deeply in this series. Sure she let jealousy and longing get the best of her in situations because she thinks everything can go back to before, but it can't. I actually became concerned for her character in this series! She was so unwell with the sleeping pills, eating disorder and clear depression going on. It was heartbreaking to see, but done really well. By the way, gotta show the love for the fact that the show discussed mental health and counseling in this. All of it was much appreciated, and shown from various male and female perspectives. Huge claps to that!

The whole older brother/actually cousin with Jae Yi could've been super stale, but it wasn't surprisingly. It was actually pretty funny and concluded well. Some of the more romantically fueled scenes that I enjoyed and stuck out to me were when Joon Hyung goes all out trying to date Bok Joo. Conquering his fear of heights, using his jacket to warm her hands, 2 straws in the cup, So freaking sweet. As well as the scene where Bok Joo is finally like "I like you too! I don't wanna return you!" and then there's just an onslaught of them kissing each other. So fu***** cute I can't. I have to say, the series is really well-shot too there's some really pretty shots of Korea in this. And I loved the soundtrack/music played throughout. There were times when Kpop was played in the background and I freaked out because I recognized it.

The only issues I had with this series were pretty minimal. The teachers specifically annoyed me in this occasionally. Mostly because I didn't really care about that plot point, but also you don't EVER hit students ever or treat them poorly. I don't care if they are going against "rules or regulations" or whatever. You can be frustrated with a student potentially throwing away their potential away, but come on! Also telling students from gymnastics to basically starve themselves. Wtf. Either way, when this series was coming to an end I legit got teary eyes. I didn't want it to end and I miss the characters already!

A Complicated And Heartbreaking Love Triangle For Me

I am so soooooo conflicted with this series. It's so beloved by people now at this point, and though I thoroughly enjoyed it of course it still has me left with some confusion. Imma say right off the bat I was totally 100% okay with Taekhyung ending up with either Daon or Shin Woo. This is probably a very dividing sentiment, so if you're not okay with that don't continue reading this review. Let's get into this!

Off the bat with this series I was thinking if Taekhyung wouldn't take the president Daon I would! He's so cute and kind. A very likable person. Probably too likable and it ends up being his demise in this series tbh. I already could tell too that Taekhyung would probably gonna end up with dude VP Shin Woo as soon as he had a falling out with in the hallway. The enemy to lovers trope is so strong in Kdramas. So I wasn't really surprised or on the edge of my seat wondering how the love triangle would turn out. Since I watch many of those dramas lol. I also should say I pieced together that Shin Woo had a traumatic experience with his sexuality in the past. Hence why he's so reserved and finds it difficult to express his feelings. I totally get that and started to like him more once that was apparent. We see his character go through some serious growth throughout this. Opening up to sweetie pie Taekhyung. Being more open in the relationship than Daon was. This was all good! However, a lot of fans of this series looked past Daon's growth too and it makes me so mad! So I'll express it in this because he deserved just as much of a chance to be with Taekhyung than Shin Woo did.

Daon needed more time to come to terms with himself. There's NOTHING wrong with that at all. To be honest it wasn't even that much time so Taekhyung was pretty impatient lol. Daon also has very strict parents, who might literally uproot his life if he expresses his sexuality or who he is. That's even more reason why he's such a internalized sad person. No wonder he wants constant validation from people around him. It's how he was raised and he had no real love growing up! That's trauma too ya'll and I wish more people watching saw that. This is not an easy situation at all and idk why people are acting like coming out is easy? Let alone in somewhere like Korea where its still conservative in parts. Eventually he gets to where he needs to be emotionally and by then its too late. Which sucks and I kinda hated seeing it. I honestly wish 100% he would've ended up with Namgoong. That would've been PERFECTttttt. He needs love and I'm sad that he didn't get that. At least they show him finally taking time for himself and being able to say no to people taking advantage of him. Thank the lord.

Moving on past that. I wanna say Namgoong became my favorite character. He's sweet, hilarious and indeed handsome. He also guides so many characters throughout this and I loved it. Though I hate that he was kinda stuck with So Hee, who didn't do enough in my opinion to get redemption for her attitude and sh** she did throughout the series. They aren't shown dating or anything (if they had I would've thrown my remote through the screen) but she's clearly after him now. Ugh girl disappear please. Some things I enjoyed though was how brightly coloured and shot this series was. Really nicely done. The music was fantastic, we love ACE!!! Though I took issue with some of the plot, overall its pretty solid. Definitely watch this! Hopefully we get more Kdrama BL's with full length series <3

What Happens When A Sequel Goes Terribly Terribly Wrong

So I'll talk about the first season as an initial preference. "Love By Chance" helped me through a lot of heartache last year when I watched it for the first time. It's sweetness and brightness was infectious and in turn it ended up becoming one of my favorite BL dramas. It set the standard for a lot of BL's to this day, as it should've! Everyone was on their A game during that season and I loved it. This second season took everything from the first season and threw it out the window. It was awful. If you enjoyed it, I suggest not reading this review because I won't hold back. Though I will sprinkle positives in the review of course.

Going in I was already annoyed with this season because I knew they would totally mess up the Ae/Pete storyline. Yes I've read the books and yes they did indeed mess it up. It was totally rushed and they skipped full plot points because of Saint's absence. Which I knew would happen and I know this is not the director or producers fault. However, it still kind of felt like a slap in the face to fans of the first season. Everything felt wrong. Can's character is even more over the top in this (not in a good way) and constantly confused, Tin is softer for some reason (dull tbh) and Ae is just depressed throughout. The life was literally sucked out of this series without Pete's character and without the proper structuring or writing. Tin and Can's chemistry btw is pretty much gone, it felt so forced holy crap! The series isn't bright anymore and I just felt sad watching it. I saw a comment that asked if everyone involved was injected with sedatives during this? And I understand that sentiment.

Where the hell was Tar and Tum? I don't love their characters (love Earth though so much), even from the first season but they were literally non-existent throughout this! Literally why even have them at all. The storyline timeline by the way is so confusing with Tin and Canin this because it takes place 3 months ago during LBC season 1 I think? It was confusing how they jumped around, added new scenes that weren't in the original and then tried to reshoot previous scenes poorly. Why even do that!? Like what was that first kiss scene compared to season 1? Much worse ya'll, much worse. So as I was trying desperately to try and focus on Tin and Can, they kept shoving Ae being depressed in our faces by showing him drinking and smoking. Wtf. Literally took 7 damn episodes for any new material to even show up. As much as I love Perth, I honestly think he shouldn't have been a character in this. Maybe an appearance and then show him go off to find Pete or something? But this whole having Perth act out this loss as Ae felt way too real and kind of messed up in reality since there's a very real situation that happened. Like the hurt is very much real and showing clips of the actors from before just sucked dude.

The way they went about Techno and Kenghla's storyline was just wrong. I don't care how you spin it, I wanted to skip every scene of there's because it just was gross feeling. Also whyyyyy did Chompoo show up 8 episodes in, come on guys! Before I move on past the negatives, I wanted to bring up 2 random things. First of all, the ads were mad annoying in this. Literally so cringy and again shoved in our faces. Season 1 had none of that and there are ways to do it that aren't so obnoxious. Secondly, the hell was up with the actors mic quality throughout the show!? They were turned up to a thousand constantly, like I could hear Mean (Tin) swallow when I shouldn't of had to lol.

Even though I really disliked this season, yes there were things I liked about it. One being Tin's brother being recast, this actor was just better. "Someday I will tear off your mask" this set the tension between the brothers well and I thought it was pretty good (though to be fair that plotline kind of failed by the end, but either way). I loved that Tin had more time with his nephew in this, there's more of an established relationship there. It was very cute, even if the nephew did kind of get in the way of scenes sometimes. Some of the reshot scenes were done better, very few but they were there. The phone buying scene was better, I liked seeing Tin smile more. I liked how Can learns about Tin's brothers story through the phone, it was so much more emotional. The sequence of the phone call and driving to Can's house, it was great and I would rewatch that episode for that scene alone. There was also Tin finding out his brother was responsible for the party thing, that was heartbreaking and also really well acted. I feel like Mean took all the energy he had and put it into those scenes. There was this weird random plot device thrown in of Can being gungho on sleeping with Tin all of a sudden lmao. At first I didn't like it, but eventually I found it funny. Can makes a comment about a line of men waiting to sleep with him and I was just like "there's no line waiting for you honey, there is a line for Tin though and it's longgggg so you better supervise him!" Also gotta say, Pond is the MVP of this season for real. Where is his girlfriend though...I was PISSED when she didn't show up anywhere.

I feel like if the events of this season took place in season 1 it would've been better, meaning the entirety of Tin and Can's story. Then if they really needed a second season they could've made this for Tin's brother and his side of the story. Literally Tul's kiss with his love interest was much MUCH better than our main couple, so I think my idea isn't crazy! Even if Tul's character I still don't like at all, it would've still been better than this. Finally, we will talk about the final episode. We love Pete's literal neck in the shot to show him crying lol wtf was that. I appreciate honestly though that they left it obvious that Pete and Ae will "reunite" from the message received on the phone, even if it probably will never be in an actual season. No matter how much fans want a third season, or spread around false reunion information. I just hope that the actors Perth and Saint can reconcile someday soon and get their management in order. I would totally be down to watch another season if everything was sorted out because I want so badly for everyone to do better and be okay.

Ended Up Kinda Bored, Also Phan Deserved Better FRL

I really tried to get into this series I swear! But it was just so boring that I found myself skipping through it constantly. Most of the series felt like 90% filler, 5% plot movement and 5% arguing. Sometimes 3 separate storylines can work out in 1 series, but in this nobody really got enough screen time for me to be invested. Our main couple Yo and Phan were cute at first, but then I got really annoyed with Yo. Phan's actor though I actually liked the most out of the cast, he was quite good. He made Phan's character likable and really sweet, honestly he deserves better than Yo who kinda treats him like garbage once they get together. Which doesn't make sense since Yo is literally OBSESSED with him outright but whatever. Some of the side actors were alright, the angel gang did enough to where they were entertaining enough and got a chuckle out of me.

Forth and Beam just kind of felt like leftovers tbh, which may have been the point with their characters? But I just didn't care about them at all. The most interesting couple out of the 3 was definitely Ming and Kit, their scenes I didn't really skip around. Them alone couldn't save the series, but I would probably watch a spin-off of just them if it ever arose. I will also say the ending cliffhanger got me really annoyed, mostly because the plot was finally FINALLY getting interesting and I was starting to get invested and then BAM "to be continued". WTF, ugh! Now I'm basically forced into at least finding out what happens with that grossness with Park, whom is a literal psychopath along with Pring.

Directed by Bong Joon-ho. "Parasite" follows the members of a poor household (Kim) scheming to become employees of a much wealthier family (Park) by posing as unrelated, highly qualified individuals.

This movie exceeded my expectations. What a way to showcase class struggles and differences between the wealthy and financially lacking in brilliantly done social commentary! This movie feels like it's moving at lightning pace because of how effortlessly it flows. There isn't a dull moment to it, you're either on edge or learning more about it's well-defined characters. Each is distinct and so well performed. I recognized Korean-Canadian actor Woo-sik Choi from "Train to Busan" (he's looking fine in this too btw XD) as the brother Ki-Woo. I may be biased because I've grown to really like seeing him, but he was my favorite character in this film. I see him as the main character since he really starts the film with a conversation and ends it with a monologue to his father. Really well done, applause to you sir!

I loved seeing the scheming involved in this, with a name like "Parasite" I thought this was going to be sci-fi in nature. But it's not at all! It's more of a home invasion film where the rich owners willingly allow these people to come into their lives. The Kim family were some sneaky bastards let me tell you and I loved it! It's like a better version of Ocean's films (sorry fans of that series), but with less heisting and more actual manual labour. But still a lot of deception, showing class division without making the rich too "villain-like". So seeing as the story/screenplay was superb, it's of course coupled with great camerawork/visual representations and an on-point soundtrack to back it up. There's some amazing parallel driven scenes that involve flooding that show that you don't have to treat an audience like they need to be spoon-fed information. Which I appreciate a lot! I'm so glad this film had a U.S. release because not having people over here see it because of subtitles...that would be tragic! I want more foreign films released in theatres over here to be honest!

This by far is one of the best films of 2019. It's thrilling, funny, tragic and very very intelligent. Please watch it if you haven't! I'm definitely going to have to check out more from the director/co-writer because he's impressed me highly and clearly is a master at his own craft. I love Asian cinema and foreign films in general, this is exactly why. You miss out on so much greatness if you stick to only "your language" while watching films. Don't be one of those people! I'm going to have to watch the movie a few more times to really pick up on everything. Also final side-note, the poster for this film is genius. You'll know what I mean once you've watched it.

I Am Conflicted AF

This was a very strange series. Don't get me wrong, I love dark premises. Plus dark premises mixed with magic/witchcraft!? *Chefs kisses, I love that stuff. But them trying to incorporate it with this BL kind of storyline didn't mesh very well. We essentially have our main guy being lusted after by 3 different people, all of which are siblings. That's interesting enough, but then there's incantations going on and harsh religious upbringing stuff and major deceit. It was a lot to try and do within only 6 episodes. It felt like each episode was disjointed from the other and that's not good.

I could tell watching this that the budget was basically non-existent. Which makes sense since this is a web show on YouTube. I'm not sure if there was a kickstarter for this, but if there wasn't they should've started one! It could've given the creators even more money to play with. What they had though they used fairly well. Certain camera tricks were used for the dark magic stuff, some of it a little cheesy but nothing cringy. The incantations themselves were actually probably the best parts of the show! Then we get to the "romances", I put that in quotes because they are all individually toxic in their own ways and hard to watch. Like I said there's major deceit in this and that includes blatant sexual assault. I'm glad it wasn't played off as nothing, its addressed but not well enough still. I need serious repercussions to happen in one of these shows dammit! Also there's abuse coming from Jay's character. It's a mess, its meant to be but if you can't handle that stuff do not watch.

The only decent character in this morally is Dong. Or at least that's what I got from the ending, which was kind of a letdown by the way. They tried a twist and it didn't land hard enough. I think it's the way Vee delivers it is why it didn't work for me, it needed a real punch for a complete character switch to work. Instead they just kind of blurt it out in dialogue the last few minutes with very little to back it up and then a character seemingly gets killed? Nah I need more than that for it to hit. There were some good moments in the narrative, but it just sucks that the ending happened in that way. I don't think we necessarily need a season 2, but I know they will carry through with that since the show garnered the amount of success it did. Finally, I wanted to say that as much as I appreciate low budget stuff (I'm a film student so I identify deeply) they could've also casted differently. I think the main actors were alright for the most part, but some of the dialogue was delivered so horribly I couldn't take it seriously at all. I wish all the best for the cast and crew though! Let's hope for more progression from them!

Mr.Heart Will Steal Your Heart, But Sadly In Small Doses

Okay so here's the thing. This series needed to be WAY LONGER wth! I don't really know any of the information surrounding it, I only knew that it showed up on my Viki account and I was look OOH! I need to watch that, so I did! Bare in mind I also watched this without subtitles (for the most part) so if I screwed up my translation on anything my bad. But I think I'm okay lol

Each episode was about 12/13 minutes long and that's not enough to establish a totally fully fledged story. It was enough for me to get invested though and I would recommend binging this if you have some time to kill. It really is quite a cute story and I'm hoping this garners enough attention so a sequel is discussed maybe?

The real star of this show is Lee Se Jin as Sang Ha, he was so freaking adorable, charming, funny and heartbreaking all wrapped up in one gumdrop of a package. Seriously him talking about his mom dying, paying off the medical loans and being lonely. UGH my heart! His character I'll miss the most if we only get this series! Cheon Seung Ho as Jin Won was good too, but just different character styles and I prefer Sang Ha. Putting these 2 together though was adorable though. I wish we had more time with them! The track stuff was all interesting and though the debt/loan sharks thing got a little over the top it was still gripping, I wanted to see them develop together more! Give me more carton milk exchanges, running montages together and keypad bedroom scenes danggit! Though that last episode did find a way to wrap it up nicely.

Again, second season please! I haven't seen many Kdrama's involving lgbtq couples and there needs to be more representation! I'm not just saying this as a person learning the language, I'm also saying this as someone who sees how far Korea has come with its openness to these important topics. Hwaiting! Let's keep going!

A Blast To Watch! Stop Hating On This Series!

I love collection stuff like this. "Close Friend" tried to do this but failed ultimately. So I don't know why so many people were disappointed by this? This is the superior version of that genre in BL. Each story was interesting in its own way (though I have my faves) and kept me entertained all throughout. I liked that the couples got 2 eps instead of just 1. All have potential to continue with these characters too/couples. However, certain ones I wanna see more of more than others. I also didn't realize watching that there was a color theme going on and that some characters names coordinated with days of the week, so bare with me.

My faves were:

1) Puth and Kaeng. This couples chemistry was lit and I can see them being promoted again for sure. Their side story was nice too! We love friends with benefits to lovers. Kaeng has such fashion too my lord. Their side episode was also really good, that "Daddy" "Papi" stuff had me going lol

2) I really appreciate the discussion in Masuk's story with Tir and Hia about finding love again after tragedy. Important message to talk about and very sad. Both bridge scenes had me a little messed up! Coping with grief is different for everyone and I'm glad they tackled it in this. Survivors guilt and all that. I also love that Hia is such an understanding party in all of this. He knows Masuk will always love Tir and accepts that while supporting him

3) Mon and Team. These guys had good chemistry too and the height difference was adorable. Again we got kinda a player character finally settling down with one person. Nicely done.

4) Sat and Choke. This story was interesting in that we got a character who is forced to miss out on years of his life due to a wish he makes as a child. We see him fall in love with his former best friend and its very sweet. The usage of English sprinkled in was kinda random but had me dying!

The rest of the couples were still really good, just not as good as these 4 in my opinion. The last ep wrapping up the storylines with more cute stuff and bringing all the couples together was nice! Seeing how distinct they are and bringing the gays together was fun. Also, Puth and Kaeng with kittens...enough said. Though the pool scene ran for wayyyy too long lol but I feel like it was just the actors saying their actual goodbyes to each other.

Such an enjoyable series and I'm sad to see it over. Hoping we get these actors casted again! It would be a crime not to!

Cute In Moments, But What "Y Destiny" Did Better

So this series comprises of 6 different stories from already paired actors from other series. I guess I'll have to go episode by episode in order to fully express my likes and dislikes of the entirety of the show. Lets do that!:

1st Episode: This is Fluke and Ohm's. Which I'm surprised got a first slot since they have to be a huge pull for this show! I'm watching it because of them and Tommy/Jimmy. I liked the idea of their love changing due to work and passing time. But the resolution of the episode didn't really resolve anything. Yes Ohm's character kissed Flukes at the end to show he still loved him. However, he's still calling him his brother behind his back and they need to talk over their love changing! Which didn't happen. If the ep was longer maybe it could've added these things in.

2nd Episode: Side couple from TharnType who I didn't really care for lol. The cat became...a person. Wtf am I watching? What in the furry fantasy is this? What is the point of this episode? Not much tbh lol so just skip it.

3rd Episode: Okay martial arts? What is this comic book editing all of a sudden!? Dude threw him on the ground so hard XD. This one was okay but I wouldn't have any reason to watch it again. I recognize these 2 from "Y Destiny" so go see them in that!

4th Episode: Yeah idk these two in this lol. Trying to get rid of karma huh? Ah it's a cop out. Well either way this one was cute. Kinda rushed at the end with a random romance twist, but its 15 mins so what can you do. I would say watch it but AGAIN these 2 are in "Y Destiny" and that story was much much better than this.

5th Episode: Omg FINALLY Jimmy and Tommy's episode! Yas 90s pen pals! This is actually super cute. Probs the best of the bunch! Well paced and interesting all throughout. Watch this one if anything and I only wish it had been given a full series to really get deep into the story.

6th Episode: I mean...the concept is kinda cool with a virtual boo coming to life and then they are actually real. But I kinda dipped out by now lol. There is some cute stuff though so watch this over some of the other ones.

Basically my overall consensus is this series was okay. The concept is good, but because "Y Destiny" has come out so closely to this its hard not to compare. That series did it much more effectively than this in every way. So I would say, watch a few of these and watch all of that series. Even the non-faves of mine from that series overshadowed 95% of these stories here.

Korean BL's Continue To Tease Me

Why Korea!? Why are you making these series so damn short!? This is another one where if it had even more time to develop it could've been great, much like "Wish You"! I wanted more showing of dance and competition because that's heavily implied for the title. But trying to crame both a love story and competition into 8 episodes that are only like 15 mins each is virtually impossible. I don't blame the creators at all, just wished they'd start to realize that these series are worth more time into. There was also the storyline of Shi-On's mother. So a lot of material! What a crappy mom btw, you can get remarried and not literally ignore your children afterwards! She even took his loan money and didn't even care to pay back. Trash and he deserves better. Poor baby.

Maybe this one will get the "movie treatment" too where they cluster the episodes together and add in extra content?

I do think these 2 leads had way more chemistry than "Wish You" meaning I believed it more overall romantically. Maybe it's how progressive things were shown and it felt more natural? The kisses in this were wayyyy better too. Whereas in "Wish You" it was cute, but didn't really have any sexual tension. Shi On showing Hong Seok the audition dance was actually really well done and had me feeling butterflies the way it was laid out into the bed/love scene. Well done show well done! Also not something showed in many Korean BL's so yay! Progress!

The ending episode with the breakup cop-out was annoying, but it ended happily ultimately so whatever. I'm conflicted by this one, I think it will go in the pretty good pile. There were some things I really loved about it and others needed some work. Not my favorite of the Korean BL dramas (that still goes to "Color Rush", "To My Star" and "Long Time No See") but it's definitely worth a watch! I would even say watch this over "Wish You" tbh. Also the soundtrack for this one is really really good. So download that if you can!
