I started watching this a few days ago because I wanted to see howon. Before this, I already knew some of the scenes because I saw the clips before. But, I was still pretty surprised, because some of those scenes happened way earlier in the drama than I thought (which would be at the end, or at least nearing the end) Honestly, I don't really watch dramas set in like around the 90s cause I wasn't too interrested. And though yeah, I still agree with that, as I still don't really want to watch the other reply series even after watching 1997, I guess it was written pretty well, and it was pretty interesting to see how it was like back then in that year. And honestly the story was interesting enough for me to continue and I honestly liked that it was less than an hour mostly. Near the end, suddenly it became longer from near an hour to actually an hour, so idk it felt a bit tiring (?) and felt a little bit too draggy (?) but maybe thats just me... idk it was pretty good though for a drama released 11 years ago, I don't usually really want to watch older dramas,,,

it had SO MUCH potential to become one of my 10/10 dramas...

Started watching this because of Namgoong MIn, and I REALLY looked forward to this so much. It's a law drama, it has comedy, and Namgoong Min is in it. What could go wrong, right? Haha... Yeah of course it just had to go wrong. I mean, overall it's pretty good, BUT.... it might have to do with the fact that they cut off TWO episodes and made this a 12 episode drama instead of 14 episodes... It just felt wrong tbh... They literally showed the supposed big bad of the story in episode 11, had a one year time skip (of course, it was needed to the story ig..) but idk it just felt SO rushed... Tbh even at first I was so confused when ppl said it had 14 episodes, it felt a little short, but okay fine.... But then they cut it to 12.... It really feels like a lot is missing to the story...

Additional complaint, I feel like they really wasted Seo Minhyuk's character. In the animated intro, they showed Cheon Jihun and Seo Minhyuk against each other in the court and I REALLY looked forward to it. Seeing the dynamics of Cheon Jihun and Seo Minhyuk's character, finding that they're actually best friends instead of rivals, it was really underwhelming. I loved Jihun and Minhyuk's friendship and thankful for their little scenes together, but it just felt like something's missing and kinda disappointing.... Idk maybe that's just me...

But overall, it's pretty fun to watch, I had a good laugh and some pretty good tears too. I really wanted this to be added to one of my 10/10 dramas but things happen and it didn't sadly, but it was a nice watch!!

upon actually hearing that this was actually horror said by somin and sunghoon on problem child in the house, i became more interested so i tried watching this. a few days or weeks ago i watched the trailer first and it did creep me enough that i want to watch it. now that i've watched it, indeed it is creepy, though when i finished it felt more sad to me than creepy. i kind of predicted how it was gonna end, i mean.. with the trailer i think the ending was pretty obvious (of course, being obvious doesnt make it less good), the shock factor was from the middle to near the ending point, which was pretty interesting, since at those points, it made me doubt about how the ending was gonna go and if it was gonna go as i predicted or not. it wasn't like... the best thing i've ever watched, but it gave me goosebumps and shock moments which is already pretty good. for someone who avoids horror media on a daily basis, i like this quite a lot. and i'm not sure, i might be wrong. but it kinda reminded me of something. i feel like i've read news about something like this that happened for real, but i can't really remember, so i'm currently doubting myself if it was even real or not. but if it was real and maybe this was inspired from that, then thats pretty cool

Honestly, i started watching this because of the musical. some of my favorite people were casted as some of the main characters in the musical. and though i could only see a few numbers that's available on the internet, I really like those that I've seen, but that wasn't really enough for me to be okay with it and move on, cause I'm curious about the storyline, so I watched this. Idk what i expected, but it exceeded it. Not gonna lie, I expected there to be more wholesome interactions between the three main characters, but that's because of one specific number that I watched. And honestly, it surprised me because the numbers I saw were scattered and didn't know which one happens before or after another.

[SPOILERS PLEASE LOOK AWAY IM LITERALLY NOT MOVING ON FROM THIS PART]

The one number that I first watched and really loved because it's beautiful and sad is titled "Ordinary Country" where the three main characters talked about what they would do if they were reborn. And as I said, I don't know the exact order of the numbers, though I expected it to be in the middle. And that was what I expected from the movie. I thought maybe they're having the talk when they were picking out the fish and all. But it didn't happen. But I wasn't wrong either, it is from that part. But they really cut off that part and put it in the end..... Like..... the audacity to make me cry.... I REALLY tried to hold back my tears when Haerang sacrificed himself, and even when Ryuhwan was hugging Haejin as they both get shot I still tried to hold back my tears.... BUT WHEN HAEJIN STARTED TO ASK WHAT RYUHWAN WANTED TO BE IF HE WAS REBORN.... I LITERALLY JUST BURST OUT CRYING... And now that I know the full storyline, the number hits SO MUCH harder than before......

Finally got to come around to watch it (and finish it this time as on my first watch i ended up dropping it). Picked it up again because I started liking Gunjoo. And I should really say he's amazing in this, and tbh the best character in the whole drama!! I absolutely love his scenes with Danoh (and Haru too) because they're really the cutest best friends. The typical soft and sweet, heartbroken second lead in his love story, but I really like the way he's written. Maybe especially because the drama is written about the "extras". He's really soft, sweet, and dramatic at times, but also shown as a really good supportive third wheeling best friend. And an unexpected fave character of mine is dried squid.. Tbh back then I dropped this drama early on bc i was bored i think? And other than the whole "team haru vs team kyung" thing going on in stan twt, I don't know much about the drama. And I thought he's gonna be the "villain" but turns out he was just caring and worried that history will repeat itself and I can actually see that he's really grown to like and cherish the self aware kids and that's really precious and adorable.

A few things to complain about... Honestly, the whole concept is of course really interesting and all, but like, there are some (if not, a lot) of things left unanswered. Like, of course them remembering their life in the past comics was nice and all, but how? Sure, Haru had his hand into the mysterious black hole-y thing I guess and he had that scar. But how did dried squid and suhyang remember? I guess they could've read the comic. But Haru and Danoh in the last episode? Did they just look at things that look familiar and bam they remember everything? Idk if it's just me not understanding about that concept... I think I have a lot more questions but for now, I forgot what I was gonna write so anyway....

If I have to add one thing to compliment though, the OSTs are really good and just nice to hear. Probably the next best thing after dohwa and dried squid? I might check out the songs after this to add to my faves.

It relieved my curiosity at least..

I already know some (maybe very little) details about this drama before I started watching it. Like about the character Sewook (which is played by Yun Jion, which is also the exact reason I really started this drama... phenomenal acting by the way, really wished he would've gotten a little bit more screentime, and wished that things were different for his character) Back when this was still airing, I didn't watch it but only just see people in the kdrama community talk about this. I have heard about the "bad" cgi, and honestly, safe to say my curiosity about the very cgi in question is anwered, and i totally understand the complaints. The animators might've been rushed to do it, or not? Who knows, really... But I think that flaw was a little saved by the plot. I personally really think the plot is good. Of course, throughout I was thinking how it would be if they had written some scenes differently, how it would be if the plot was slightly different to my own personal preference, and I think it could do better, but it was already pretty good. It got me pretty invested for the past three days, and it's worth it. The fact that I'm curious enough to finish the whole thing is enough to be considered good in my book (i guess, there may be some exceptions) but yeah. The ost was pretty good too, I think they fit the drama pretty well.

I guess I got fooled by the poster. I knew that this drama would probably have like some action (?) or smth, something dark, or mysterious about it in any way shape or form, but I didn't think that I would be immediately get slapped by it, especially not from a drama with such sweet beautiful poster. Though I do like the mystery, it's pretty interesting AND is what I finished watching it for, it felt rather slow to me? Was the resolution of the main mystery too slow? Or maybe I'm just not used to this kind of pacing? And though I think the main couple (and the side couples too!) are adorable and look like healthy relationships (really nice to see btw), maybe I'm not used to this much screentime of loving couples for such a long time. Idk, it's most likely me who's the problem. But yeah. Tbh in the first few episodes to me the pacing is fine, but in the later episodes it felt much slower and so I kinda sped it up a little and only put it back on normal speed for some scenes. For a first watch, I think it's really good, but I don't think I would rewatch it. At least, not fully, but I will probably just look at the clips and some scenes I like and all. I don't think I have the patience to go through all that again in full

Stressing but refreshing (idk how that makes sense but it's fr like that)

Watching this (or anything) on going is stressl but also really exciting. And though this isn't to the point where I'm very obsessed that I talk about it 24/7, it's still really good and got me excited enough that I resubscribed to my trusty drama streaming app to watch it (I really only do that when I really can't wait to watch something). I haven't watched a lot of military themed dramas. Probably just D.P. which is solely about military and that's it. Well now with this too. And just the idea of a military prosecutor sounds new and interesting.

I really think all the characters are very well written, and my personal favorites are Kang Hajun and No Taenam. Though Hajun is more of a side, I think he still plays a very important role in the drama. He's not part of the military but is supporting Baeman and Wooin from the sidelines, equivalent to what Moongu is to No Hwayoung. Ngl when he "switched sides" I felt sad and panicked but still wished it was all just a play to get insider information (Oh to know that I'm right was the best feeling fr I was so relieved) He wasn't the strong guy but he was sweet and I loved his bickering with Baeman a lot (the tom and jerry in dramas will always get my heart). And No Taenam's character really got to my heart. Never will justfy his actions in the start of the drama, but I really loved his character development. It happened pretty slow, but smoothly. I loved how slowly he was being nice to just this one person (and eventually made him survive because of his nice acts to him), and to see him continue to be a nice person and stood up for the person who kept him alive and stood up for himself made me really proud and happy. It was really... the perfect character development.... Probably one of the best character developments I've ever seen.

i dont know where i set my expectations were, but this drama exceeded it so much

Needless to say this is a really good drama. Frustrating at times, but it's really good. Because I'm currently watching Tomorrow where Yun Jion is also in, I tried to put this off for a while and watch it after Tomorrow finishes airing. But I couldn't because I was too curious after accidentally finding out that his role is a villain here. Jion's acting that I've seen were really good, but all of his roles seem to radiate the sweet, innocent, and nice image (ryunggu too, but he's different from the other characters). I was scared that watching this would ruin my experience with Ryunggu (it didn't cause i can separate the art from the person too well apparently) BUT... All of Jion's filmography that I've seen also didn't ruin my experience with his role here, X. I was really shocked. Of course. He was too different from the other characters. I felt many things watching him here. He was scary, terrifying, and confusing. In a good way. It gave me goosebumps every time he comes into the frame. It gave me goosebumps hearing the tone of his voice so similar to his role as Ryunggu, but at the same time so different because it's mixed with malice. Nearing the end he confuses me. Was he good? Was he bad? What happened? How did he become like this? Was he never this kind of person before? And even until the end, Jion really pulled off X's role too well. I can't imagine if this role was given to anyone else. X is Jion. The role fits perfectly on him.

Other than that biased (Or not) talk about Jion's role as X, I think the duration, the amount of episodes this has is perfect. It doesn't feel too long and dragged, but it's not so fast that it felt rushed. Just the perfect time. I also really have to say the two main leads also did really well. It's my first time seeing Kwon Yuri as an actor and i think she did very well! For Hyunwoo, I first saw him at law school (drama) and I remember liking him a lot in that drama, so seeing him here was nice, and its really cool to see him in a different genre, he did really well too!! Their relationship that was really sweet, but somehow got tangled because of their views and feelings as individuals. Eventually the two find out each other's perspectives and become better people and strengthen their bond. It was really nice to see.

I wish this was longer (in a very good way!)

The kind of fantasy dramas I usually watch and like seem to commonly have the theme of main character helping/saving others and not just ml fl falling in love. And this short drama is one of it!! I actually didn't know what to expect, I really started watching because I was curious of Lee Soohyuk. It turned out to be really nice and comforting, with some spices of fun and laughter from the relationship between the main trio. And honestly, the ending seemed very obvious and to be expected, but it's okay cause I wouldn't want it any other way, honestly. Watching it made me felt happy, but it feels kinda a bit sad because there's only so little episodes with short duration, I finished watching it in one sitting for around 2 hours. I really wish this could've been a full 1 hour duration per episode drama instead, the tailor shop would have shown more than 4 customers. I think there's also a lot of potential for them to show more of Woven and Joey's lore and their whole past and all. I think if this were a full drama they also could've shown the tailor shop and it's state and the customers in like maybe around 90s, 80s to show how they developed, how they were before they met Sarang. But anyway, this was a really nice watch!!!

i really watched this because i recently really like seeing yun jion. a few months(?) ago i tried to watch it but stopped in the middle of episode 1 and never touched it again until now. Now that i finished it, it's pretty fun? i guess. I don't really watch a lot of slice of life, since it can get boring. And i probably thought that a few times throughout this drama in specific scenes. But, I shall just really talk about the things that i like about it first. The songs are really nice. Maybe it's because I'm biased, but yun jion's ost is really good especially. His voice is calming and comforting to hear. Especially now that I'm going through a hard time, it's nice to listen to songs like that. Also the roommates concept they have of the three main women and the little brother (+ a child) is really cute and nice. While we're on that topic actually. There's quite a lot of scenes with the four casually hanging out at home, but there wasn't as much scenes of the lee siblings. well, could be because hyobong isn't part of the main cast, but it felt a little lacking. In the few siblings bonding scene they have, it was cute and really heartwarming, so it's kind of disappointing they didnt have more of it. (and kinda irrelevant? but i'm really bad at seeing people as "similar looking" when i'm already used to their faces. i thought the same for jeon yeobeen and yun jion getting casted as siblings. but after a while, i understand why they got casted as the siblings, i could actually see their similarity). Anyway... that was fun. And if I would rewatch it, it's probably just to see jion, and it's just looking at clips, cause idk, as much as i like it, i don't think i can or have the patience to.

Rewatched it and I still like it a lot apparently

I rewatched this to see Wi Hajoon and Lee Dohyun, and they did so well, along with all the other actors. I remembered little bits of moments, but I couldn't remember the right sequence of it. So when I watched it, I was surprised when I expected something and it still hasn't happened, or something I expected to come out later is actually in the earlier part of the story. Well, at least that gave it kind of like a shock factor so I wasn't bored. And back then I probably missed some things, or some details I couldn't remember well. And it's nice to see those little details, along with some moments that I thought were really good.

Wi Hajoon did such an amazing job portraying Ye Jihoon. When he's in the field, he looks very cool and charismatic focusing on baseball, the thing that he loves and does best in. When he's with Dajeong and Seoyeon, his sweeter and more emotional side comes out. He's everyone's dream boy and everyone thought he's perfect, but as everyone else does, he does too. I love the way they wrote his story, and tying the story with Hong Daeyoung was a pretty obvious, but nice touch. The man he was looking for all these years to thank is the ex husband of the woman he likes? It was nice. Especially because though he wasn't able to date the person he likes, she's with someone who saved his niece. And that they end up just being friends, it was really nice to see, rather than cutting each other off completely so they wouldn't be awkward.

And Lee Dohyun is also really amazing. I mean, His role is a 37 years old dad that just happened to go back to his 18 years old self, pretending to be a student, a friend to his children and their friends, he's acting as a (pretty bad at hiding his real identity) actor. The only other character that was closest to this I could think of is Jinyoung in The Dude In Me, a student whose soul got swapped with a gangster (who turned out to be a dad, and end up meeting his daughter and his first love) ((and it's really a good movie but these two "teen dads" vibes are VERY different)) Sometimes when he did the things he does as a dad, it can either go the comedic route or touching route, there's no inbetween. One of his best moments is the one where he did sign language to his dad after a competition. If I remember correctly, I probably cried about this on my first watch. I probably cried a lot more on my first watch in like, any moment.

The cinematography in this is really amazing. All of the shots are very beautiful. I loved the moments where it transitioned from young Hong Daeyoung/Ko Wooyoung to present time Hong Daeyoung. It's just a small little thing as a reminder that Ko Wooyoung is Hong Daeyoung and it's pretty cool. The sets are also really nice, but I especially loved Ko Deokjin's geeky themed house. I'm not a big avengers or game fan, but still, seeing props and outfits like the iron man outfit, thor's hammer, captain america's shield was really cool. To have a house decorated with all of your interests in every part of the house seems really cool and it's like a dream house.

It was pretty good. For a 32 episode drama, more or less 30 minutes each episode, sometimes it felt a little draggy? It could be because I was too lazy to watch, or it could be because of the repetitive fighting and making up, who knows really... Honestly, it was a bit frustrating to see. And it was because their personalities that reminded me of myself. It felt like seeing different parts of myself made into 4 people. And wow even they're that frustrating to watch, I must be more frustrating of a person than them. But, I guess it was a pretty nice story, everyone's story was told fairly, from all perspectives that they didn't know initially, but only learned after they separated. All the stories they never found out until everyone was far from each other. Like they say in the drama, they got to see the shape clearly only when they see it from afar.

And, this might come off as biased (and it is), but I started watching this because I saw that Wi Hajoon's character in this is a band vocalist (and I love bands. Favorite actor+favorite music genre=what can go wrong right?) and I heard the song he sang for the OST before watching this and I absolutely love it. I watched this fully aware that he's a side character. But, I didn't expect that he would be "thrown away" after he was rejected by Hwiru. And it happened again with Kiwan's character. Both liked Hwiru, both were rejected by Hwiru, and both probably made her realize she still liked Sukmoo, and both just didn't appear again. For Siho, he went to London, but Kiwan who is Hwiru's book publishing company owner? I honestly expected to see him again after the rejection because of course, Hwiru WORKS under him. But he just never appeared anymore after that. Though I understand, sure they're side characters, anyone can suddenly come and go anytime. But that part honestly just bugged me, I was wishing they would stay friends, stay close to Hwiru (and I wished that Siho would rekindle his friendship with Sukmoo too but.... yup didn't happen) and instead of just going away, stay and see the person they liked happy with someone else as they also try to move on. But again, they're side characters. I totally understand...

Overall it's pretty good. The OST sung by Wi Hajoon and Cha Taehyun are really good (Lowkey kinda wished they would have a duet but yknow they didn't really rekindle their relationship, and Sukmoo took a pretty long time to get back into music again). Would I watch it again? Not really... Maybe I would watch Wi Hajoon's scenes again, but rewatch the drama again as a whole? Don't think so.

The whole concept I think is very cool, I really enjoyed watching the work life of book publishers, the work that each department do, and their struggles as employees but also as different individuals with their own personal matter, and the development of each character is very nice to see. The office environment looks very cute and cool and lowkey made me feel like I wish I was there.

I watched the show because of Wi Hajoon, so I think it's pretty obvious and super biased when I say my favorite character is Ji Seojun. Before I watched it I've only seen fanmade edits and pictures, and thought that his character would be nice and sweet, which he is! But I didn't eexpect his character to go a lot deeper than that, but I absolutely love it. I can always enjoy some lowkey mysterious characters, and when his secret was revealed ngl I cried. I do think his story is showed enough for a second lead, but I kinda had wished there was a little bit more to show... Other than him, I unexpectedly actually really like Song Haerin. When she first appeared I thought she would be more on the annoying side, but thankfully she's not, and became my second favorite. She was actually really adorable and sometimes I can relate to her character...

Honestly... adding to that, not just Seojun and Haerin as individual characters, I also really like seeing them as a couple (idk if i can say that bc... they technically haven't? but anyway) I really like their chemistry. From the way they meet, the way they bonded with work, their little problem, their reconciliation... I really loved seeing them and lowkey wished they would have more scenes together, and tbh even wished that they would at least end up dating a few episodes before the drama ends.. I honestly like Seojun and Haerin (both individually and as a "couple") than Eunho and Dani. Though I do think Eunho and Dani are adorable too, I can't help but feel a little bored. To me it's just the usual childhood best friends to lovers trope. When they weren't dating their bickering, Eunho's jealousy, Dani's interactions with Seojun were really enjoyable to watch, but I guess starting around the middle of the drama? When Eunho confessed and Dani kept thinking about it... Ever since that I skipped a little of their moments, and when they date or have romantic scenes I kept skipping for some reason? It just felt... a little boring for me. But that's probably just me... I generally don't really watch romance unless my favorite actor is there... Was it because I was biased? Who knows really...

Other than that, it's pretty good overall. The songs were nice, though sadly weren't really memorable for me, I don't remember any of them...

Wrote this after a rewatch and though I already knew, my feelings were the same in two watches

Seeing the concept (and Wi Hajoon) was what made me interested, and it didn't disappoint me. I absolutely love Hajoon's (and everyone's!) performance in this movie. I first watched Hajoon's soft side in 18 Again, then saw his cooler side in Squid Game, and this is (I'm pretty sure!) the third Hajoon project that I've watched and he did amazing in every single project of his I watched so far, and Midnight is definitely one of my favorites.

The chase scenes were honestly so scary and definitely made me just want to focus on it (tbh the whole movie is), like, I felt like if I just tear my attention away for a second, she would get caught or something. There were times when there was absolutely no sound at all, kind of putting it in the girl's point of view and at those times it was the scariest. Even for those few seconds of silence it felt terrifying for me, I really can't imagine how terrifying it must be for her. Running from a serial killer that you have to look back on to check if he's close or not, and though she was on the run herself, she still felt the need to help out the girl she just met. But it was the most frustrating thing ever. She was the nicest girl but when she was the one in need of help, no one did. When she approached some people and they just kinda walked away, it REALLY frustrated me. And I guess the killer is a pretty dang good actor himself for people to believe him over his victims. Or are they not able to sense ABSOLUTE FEAR FROM THE GIRL???? LIKE?????? YALL SERIOUS???????? Maybe if they bothered to actually pay attention to the girl and what she's TRYING HER BEST to convey............ But yknow what, I'm not even surprised about that because that's what these genres do. But it's overall pretty good. Honestly, I don't watch movies a lot but after watching this movie, I suddenly got in the mood to watch some other movies too.
