visually and audibly pleasing Xianxia
Having just finished the final episode of The Legend of Shen Li, I feel compelled to acknowledge its standout conclusion. Unlike many xianxia dramas that rush their endings, this one dedicated an entire episode post-climax, allowing for a satisfying resolution. While the series isn't flawless, I found myself fully engaged throughout, which is a rarity for me. Completing it without skipping much content was a significant achievement. One of its strongest assets lies in its production quality—the OST, CGI, and costumes were visually and audibly stunning, elevating the overall experience. Despite its lacking plot, this drama is worth considering for its impressive production values, strong and smart FL and ML, as well as their great chemistry.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
No one of us is immune against mental diseases
Just finished it and trying to give it a proper rating now:_Story&Plot: 2/3
it's a calm slice of life drama, with many stories about different mental diseases and the obstacles the patients and their families encounter and the daily challenges that face the medical team (specially nurses since the FL is one of them) in the mental section, it starts weak but it grows on you, you get connected to the FL's life and start picking your favorite characters. It has romance, light love triangle and second couple but romance still not the main focus. I cried several times and felt so depressed at times. The title gives the wrong idea about the drama, I thought I'll be smiling and feel the "sunshine" with each episode but it got much dark than I expected.
A random change of course for one of the characters at the end felt so out of place and so "Netflix's touch" to send their usual message: "no to racism" (so we bring a bunch of people from different races with a random black person and let them dance), then you go overseas to chase a dream.
_Acting&Cast&chemistry: 1.5/2
PBY is perfect for her role, she is the "daily dose of sunshine", she delivered the change of her character correctly
We didn't really have a ML as important as the FL, instead we had 2MLs who are a support characters to the FL, UWJ's character suffered from the short screentime, I guess they were afraid to increase the romance focus, JDY was a great friend but that's it. Nothing special about the chemistry but it wasn't bad
All the support characters were great, 2 actresses I felt like they could profit from them more than they did, Lee Jung Eun as the Head Nurse, they kept mentioning at the beginning how much she is a scarry person but we only saw a kind mother to the rest of nurses, wished if we saw both sides more to give her more presence in the first half of the show, I felt like she was a guest role.
FL's mother played by Hwang Young Hee, seeing her in WYWS as suzy's mother can tell how much she can give to her role. We barely saw her in most of the drama.
_Directing&Camerawork 2/2:
The illustration for each disease was beautiful and odd at the same time, I liked it, same goes for the intro it was illustrating the title and the combination of sunshine and mental disease, at first I thought I heard wrong or some voice technic problem.
_OST 0/1: Netflix originals lacks when it comes to ost, Kdrama is known for giving the best ost that deliver the emotion of the scene, but this drama had NOTHING. Play a random song with the credit at the end means nothing for me.
_Style&view&colors 0.5/1:
The color of the nurse's uniform is perfect, nothing special about the character's style in clothes, but the colors at the hospital were beautiful
My problem was with the FL's house the colors were depressing and you could barely see with the lightings, what it was so depressing for no reason.
_Ending 0.5/1:
It was good when it comes to the FL but not much as I mentioned in the plot part, when it comes to another character.
Total is 6.5 but I'll add my bonus point because the drama touched me deep and cried many times, it had some medical accuracy and realistic touch instead of magical recovery of diseases, and with a great message that No one of us is immune against mental diseases

8-Han Soo&Eun Hee 2/10 (I really hated this one, I was almost gonna drop the drama because of it, thank God that I didn't)
7-Young Joo&Hyun 4/10 (not the type of story or the message that I'll want to watch)
6-Mi Ran&Eun Hee 5/10 (a decent story about friendship)
5-Ho Shik&In Kwon 7/10 (The scene in prison cell and the scene between In Kwon and his son in ep8 get 10/10 from me that's when I decided not to drop this drama)
4-Dong Seok&Seon Ah 8/10 (Just watching Shin Min Ah and Lee Byung Hun in one story was enough, I didn't expect much, but ended up loving it, Seon Ah's character developpement was great)
3-Choon Hee&Eun Ki 8.5/10 (ep17 turned my eyes to a waterfall)
2-Young Ok&Jung Joon&Young Hee 9/10 (Young Hee was a bless, so happy to see Kim Woo Bin in a drama again he had a great chemistery with Han Ji Min)
1-Ok Dong&Dong Seok 10/10 (A movie that you need to watch, mothers stories are one of my weak spots, they used it so well, seeing Lee Byung Hun and Kim Hyeja's acting was the gem of this drama, they were so good that I can't call it an acting)
Lee Jung Eun had was in the 2 weak stories but had more presence than the rest of the cast, she gave us Eun Hee the strong independent woman.
My favorite characters that I just loved seeing them in every scene are the two "halmoni"s Ok Dong and Choon Hee what a warm duo!
Over all, it's 8.5/10 and I'm sad to give it that rating after watching such a masterpiece in the last 3 episodes, I wished if they took off some weak stories and shrinked it to a 16 episodes drama, it would have been 10/10, it took me 8 episodes just to decide not to drop, but this drama was unique, special and so real.

When you have nothing left, no love nor hate, you've achieved your revenge.
I really enjoyed a lot of things in this drama, but I have to be honest about a few points first:1- It felt like: 'The story of Yanxi Palace' + 'Love Like the Galaxy' = 'The Double.' Those are two of my favorite dramas, so of course this one was to my liking too, but it didn't reach the level of either of them.
2- The last episode could have been one of the best finales I ever watched in Cdrama, but they had to ruin it with unnecessary events.
3- The director just looooooves using the wind to blow people's clothes and hair, even in the last scene. (It was okay at the beginning but in was too much for me after).
Apart from that, I enjoyed every scheme, even though we know the FL will find her way out every time (well, she is the FL). I liked the chemistry between the leads despite the age gap. I found the FL's acting was on point, especially in the emotional scenes. The ML is eye candy, but his role was kind of easy, so we didn't see much of his acting range, as he didn't have to change expression most of the time.
The OST was so great and emotional; I cried because of how well they used the OST, even more than the actual scenes. The princess and FL's ex-husband were so great, especially toward the end. Their wonderful performances gave us complex feelings toward them (thanks to the writing too).
The last episode had a very emotional scene between the FL and Jiang Li's father that I really appreciated.
I definitely recommend this drama for people who don't focus too much on the plot flow, in's really enjoyable, and I give it a final 8/10 rating.

I laughed, that's it...
The last 3-4 episodes ruined the drama, it felt like a complete different script, I'm not saying it was that great, from the start, the story had many issues and I'm not referring to the age gap here, that wasn't really a problem. But it gaves a good laugh and that what kept me going, and the chemistry was good.Story: was very weak, she is a chef, but along the way, we stoped seing her caring about her career, give in up to stay home and cook for a guy. By the end, her character turned to being too naive and stupid that I started fast forwading.
Acting/cast: was good I liked their chemistry considering the age gap, her uncle was my favorite with his "no, no, no"
Directing: the cooking scenes looked really tempting to my stomach, some really funny scenes
OST: I liked the opening and Lu Si's ost
Style: FL had her ups and downs with her outfits, ML had almost the same clothes, it's a suit for 99% of the drama, SFL was dressing in the same outfit for many scenes
END: was good and satisfying, considering how things went down in the last few episodes.

Love-Sacrifice-Love-Sacrifice-Love.
Finished it finally after dropping it the first time after 8 epiosdes, and thinking about dropping it the second time around the same point, I want to thank the people who told me to watch up to ep 16 before deciding, thanks to them I finished the drama. The story starts picking up slowly starting from ep9 and change completely later on (ep16), that doesn't change the fact that the drama was still too draggy, and that took away a lot of its quality. My final rating 8/10.2 reasons for dropping the drama at the first arc, the story was slow without any interesting character that keeps you going, the FL was annoying at times and had no self-esteem other times , ML the typical cold main character. The second reason is the 2 main leads didn't have chemistry, I've seen them both making better chemistry with other actors and actresses. But they grow on you afterward. Maybe because their characters change.
I wasn't sure about casting Xu Kai as the ML at the first arc until I saw him as Qing Mu, he fited him perfectly. ZDY was good enough, I fell for her beautiful smile.
What I loved most about the drama are: OST, CGI, some very good support characters and some emotional scenes that put me to tears (The OST made them even more emotional)
They had enough time to give us a complete satisfying ending, still chose to drag the parts before it instead.

It's Not The Legend Of Fu Yao... misleading Title
It was really a good story but too draggy with some useless arcs . Fuyao character is so weak considering how the drama's name and the strong FL tags, she eat all the poisons that ever been mad in this drama and got drugged for more than I can count. 66 episodes were too much and it still ended up with a confusing ending while they had enough time to give a more clear one. It took me forever to finish it, I don't remember when I first started it but I dropped it a long time ago after watching more than 40 episodes then tried to pick it up after rewatching most of the episodes then I dropped it again on ep60 and I finally picked it up again yesterday to finish it finally today. It had so much potentiel to be one of my TOPs C-dramas but unfortunatly the bad points took away part of it beauty.
The ML gave it his best though, what a great actor. Yang Mi did good too

Ask yourselves "Am I really doing alright?" and tell yourselves "Goodnight".
I finally decided to rewatch this drama after 9 years, now that ZIG is back with a new drama "moving"I thought I may not like it as much as I did the first time after watching so many kdramas, because I first watched it in 2015, I was just starting in Kdrama's world. But I was wrong, this drama is still a Masterpiece for me.
The cast, acting, story, OST and everything else was perfect.
Story 10/10:
I have a weak point towards dramas that deal with psychological desorders: It's okay to not be okay, Kill me heal me, beautiful mind, they all are in my top list, and it's okay, that's love was the first that I watched of that type.
They portrayed many disorders in a romcom type of drama but it still didn't feel forced . The way the story was moving was so touching, it's a romcom but you still shed tears from time to time, the director made many wonderful touching scenes.
Acting/Cast: 10/10:
I don't even know where to start, the cast is perfect ZIG acting was top notch, GHJ is spontanious as act effortlessly as always, and their chemistry was blowing everytime they are in the same screen. LKS and the one of my favorite ajusshi SDI were the magical elements of the comedy, and don't even get me started with DO's acting, he can compete with many veteran actors even though he is an Idol.
Music: 10/10
Chen, Davishi, CrushxPunch... perfect OST that I listen to over and over again, and the ENGLISH songs that been used were so on point they felt like they were an original soudtrack for the drama.
Rewatch value 10/10
After 9 years, I felt all the emotions and maybe more since I know now more about mental illness. This such a meaningful Romantic comedy, even though it may give the opposite impression at first, which is not a very common thing nowdays

How to make a horrible movie from a beautiful drama
How to turn a 58 episodes drama to 1 hr. 40 min movie?I was curious that's why I watched it, and the answer I found is: "Let's skip 29 episodes and start from ep30 and make all what happend before as hasty flashbacks that give you no emotion, then let's ruin the most satisfiying scene of FL's revenge, and we can just leave the guy she've been trying to revive for 70.000 years frozen there who cares, let's turn a phoenix god to a peacock, and make everything goes so fast, who cares about new viewers understanding of the story? people who watched the drama will understand what scenes we are referring to. The ending? Do we actually have to give it a clear ending? All what matter is bringing a beautiful FL and handsome ML and let's make sure that they look gorgeous in evey scene that will be enough."

Powerful chemistry beautiful love story with great sceneries
It was much better than I expected because I watched TMOPB before and it made me feel so irritated by FJ's weak character and the mortal realm arc was a big waste of time wich is not the case in ELOD (the costumes played a role in that too) though her personnality still started the same but I can feel that she grew up along the way, the chemistery between Dilraba and GWG is one of the best, a very powerful couple that I enjoyed all it scenes, GWG did great with all the characters he played especially DJ, he was capable of delivering the powerful side of him that he show to people and the cute, shildish one with FJ. There are many good characters that made some parts better, and I liked most of the Arcs, tho I did skip many scenes that felt slow, borring or irritating, they made every story unnecessarily draggy but thanks to the "forward button", that didn't annoy me. I recommend this one very much it's 8.5 for me and I may rewatch it someday.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A real cure for the heart
I promised myself to write a review for this Drama even before watching the ending, because simply, it deserves that much after all what it gave me.My review contain 2 parts. The first one is directed to those who haven't seen the Drama yet and confused whether to watch it or not after seeing different kind of reviews; people who rated the show 10/10 and others went as far as to give it 1/10 which is complatly unrealistic if you ask me, despite the fact that people taste differ from one to another, but it's unbelievable to have such a huge gap. And so for that reason I didn't classify my review as "may contain spoilers" even though it does because the first part is spoiler's free, so if you didn't watch the show yet you can read the first part BUT not the second.
PART 1:
1- Why I started the drama? I wasn't planing to watch it at all before it started airing because I read the plot and I felt that it's not my cup of tea, a man in woman's body? that's weird, the romance will be weird and the ending will be tragic and I'm not a big fan of any of the main cast, so why should I, but quickly after the first 2 episodes aired, I started seeing many posts and screens and it looked really funny so I said why not, I started it with the Idea that I'll watch the first funny episodes and when it gets boring or dark I'll drop it, as I do a lot recently, and that I don't care about the end because I won't bee watching it maybe hearing about it that's all, but I found myself hooked for 20 episodes not thinking for one time to actually drop it, in the contrary I was longing froward to the weekend and watch scenes from raw before it get translated and think about it a lot during the week, I didn't do that since a long time, I can't even remember when was the last time I was obsessed with an airing drama like this.
2- I'm not going to repeat what is already mentioned in the plot, but I guess the first thing comes in mind after reading it, is "so is this a BL story?" Yes and No it's not exactly gay 'cause we are talking about a relatonship between 2 souls in 2 bodies with opposed sex (I'm talking about the queen and the king's bodies) So if you are into BL, this is not exactly what you used to watch but you certainly won't dislike it, and if you don't like BL's stories as myself, I asure you, you will looove this one 'cause there is nothing wrong about it, after all, as I said it's a woman's body and you will ship 2 souls together not who they are. So if you are hasitating because of that matter, you should stop and start the show, YOU WILL FEEL confused at the beginning not knowing even what to call the queen is it a "He" or a "She" , but in some point, that won't matter anymore.
3- If you are looking for a drama that will make you cry from begining till the end, then stop and go look else where as there is plenty of those, most good historical Kdramas are tragic, BUT if you are looking for a change, the entire opposite of what you used to see in historical's, or that you hate historical dramas because they are too dramatic, too sad, too frustrated, too much injustice and dark. Then you are in the right place, I didn't have that much laugh while watching a Kdrama, or any type of drama for that matter, for a long time, so this one is a cure for every broken heart, the word "boring" won't dare to come out of your mouth as you'll be so busy laughing all the time and the hour will feel like a 10 mins, you'll laugh watching a manly man's soul (a womaniser actally) coming from the present days, trapped in a woman's body and not any woman, it's a married woman, it's THE QUEEN from 200 years ago, you'll be laughing at many side characters that gave the show a strong comedy, not just the good people that are in the queen's side but even the drama's main evil characters, because simply, everyone act funny dealing with our queen's personality.
4- If you hate historical dramas because they are too old fashion, too many rules, everyone is talking and acting coldly, too much formal speechs even between a married couple. Well, our queen was capable of changing all of that, having a wild soul coming from the future inside a palace can do that, you'll see too much running inside the palace not only by servents but royalty as well, you'll see many rules get kicked in the wall, and you'll be hearing the king's name beeing called more than you did in all the historical drama's that you've watched or will putting together, because the name of the king is not something that you can just say it whenever you want, well, you can if you are our queen.
5- You hate when the main characters are royalty because there is too much drama, plots and schemes, and as a consequence, too many misunderstanding between the couple and mostly that's because there is a love triangle made of the main couple who loves each others and a concubine who is trying to separate them and destroy their love, I'm not going to lie and say that we don't have a love triangle here, but it's just not the typical one, it's not 2 women fighting over the love of the same guy but it's more like a circle because they are not completly two women, you will laugh while watching our queen upset seeing the King and his concubine together but just not for the usual obvious reason LOL.
6- looking for a perfect acting with a wonderful chemistry between the main couple, you'll find that here. I don't even remember where I've seen Shin hye sun before (which I regret deeply now I which I could remember her roles because I've seen her in many dramas as side character but didn't even remember in which dramas until I googled it) and I've seen Kim Jung Hyun in CLOY and liked him there too but just not as much as I did here. They both were magnificent SHS will make you believe that there is actually a man's soul inside her and deliver every single emotion her character is feeling, and KHJ wasn't any less than her, he too gave his role justice beeing funny, pretending weakness and stupidity in front of everyone, mysterious and manly. Not just them but everyone in the cast was awesome.
6- you will like how the OST is well fitting to the drama and to the scenes that get played in.
7- You maybe wondering by now why someone will rate this drama with 1-3/10 after all this, it's one simple and huge reason: THE ENDING! what I can say without spoilering it is everyone watched the same ending but not everyone feels the same about it, there is those who may consider it a SAD ending, a HAPPY ending,an UNSATISFIYING ending, a LOGICAL ending, even a PERFECT ending. which answear is the right one? I'll say none, because it's depend on how we want it to end compared to how it DID, because this time, every single one watched the show was hoping for a happy ending, even me who said at the beginning that I won't care about it, but eventually each one had his own definition of that 'happy ending" it's a matter of: did the ending match what they had in mind and heart or not, but whetherway, we can't judge the entire book by the last page of it, I don't regret watching such a wonderful drama and I wished it'll never end more than wishing for a happy ending because watching the journey was a real cure for my heart; I just hope to move on quickly and find something as good as this one soon.
So my final advice; watch the show you won't regret it, enjoy every single episode and judge the ending by yourself.
I'll leave the second part to another day.

Remembering the past lives, is it a gift or a curse?
Story 7,30/10: New, interesting, engaging, yet weak in some parts where it had to be strong. The main plot that we see a lot in Manhwa but not in K-drama, the parts that were weak are, first :who was the one behind the car accident, we were supposed to feel shoked and sad while with the ML while finding out that the one who caused his big trauma and killed a precious person to him was the only one he trusted from his familly, and that because we didn't get to see much of his interactions with his uncle before. Second: FL's first life that had so much potentiel if they just developped it more, I wished we could see more of it. The ending in the other hand was so good and well done.
Acting/Cast 8,5/10: Shin Hye Sun is a shinning star, I started the drama for her and she never desappoint, her acting was the best part, 2 remarkable scenes of her, dancing with her mother's imagination and crying, and while remembering the death of her sister from her first life, you can't help but feel her emotions. The dance scene between the FL and ML was very beautiful too.
Seeing Maaaama's duo from Mr queen together again was so pleasing, happy to see this ajumma part of the cast.
I'm not a big fan of the ML though he did a good job in acting but the chemistery was lacking.
The child cast was so good, the kids were so amazing, my only problem was the fact that they didn't use a younger actor for the ML's scene with the child FL, it was awkward. The rest of the cast did great.
Music 8,5/10: The OST fits the drama and it was very well placed.
Rewatch value 8/10: I always think that a big factor for determing the rewatch value is the ending, and this one had a great ending so I may rewatch it someday.
Overall: 8/10
