Top 3 asian dramas/movies with sign or deaf people
My top 3 list (not in order, just all 3 belong in the top):
1. Silence
2. Orange days
3. A summer day, your voice
Conclusion:
Orange days is the best to watch if you want to know more about deaf people and their struggles. A summer day, your voice is just a cute movie glazed with the concept of deafness. And Silence is a dramatic melodrama with lots of love and the use of sign language.

1. Silêncio
Taiwanese Drama - 2006, 19 episodes
Silence isn't a drama about a deaf person, but the female lead is mute and uses sign language to communicate with her surrounding people. She isn't deaf so she hears what other people say about her, but she is unable to react through speech. Despite her not being deaf, this drama belongs in the top 3 list.
Genre: melodrama, romance
Good points:
1. The chemistry of the couple is outstanding.
2. You'll fall in love with the male lead.
3. It shows what true love must be like.
Bad points:
1. It doesn't have a good ending. Sorry to spoil it. Despite this, it's still a good drama to watch.

2. Dias Laranja
Japanese Drama - 2004, 11 episodes
In this drama the girl is deaf and uses sign language. She recently lost her hearing completely and is a bit vulgar. The male lead in the drama uses sign language too which I love. Sometimes the female lead said (if I remember it clearly), that she can also lip read but to just lip read... and understand it perfectly that is almost impossible. I loved that they often just had a full conversation in just sign language. And they placed subs in Japanese for the hearing watchers.
Genre: Friendship, romance, youth
Good points:
1. Obviously the use of the sign language but both the actors.
2. The romanceeee is so cute.
3. Deaf people sometimes have certain struggles and the struggles of this particular girl were shown really well. Her struggles with not being able to play anymore.
4. The cast was amazing.
5. The episodes were easy to find on youtube with subs.
6. The female character grew a lot.
Bad points:
1. The end was a bit.. vague.

3. A Summer Day, Your Voice
Japanese Movie - 2015
This story is about the girl who is terminally ill. Besides that, she is unable to speak and unable to hear. She doesn't use sign language, but she talks through writing and messages. I thought that the actors played really well. This is just a very sweet movie combined with hearing problems.
Genre: romance, melodrama, youth
Good points:
1. The guy tries so hard to communicate with the girl. That was so sweet. They find all kinds of methods to communicate.
2. The girl stays hopeful though she is really ill.
3. Supportive mom!
Bad points:
1. The ending, though I knew it would happen.
