List for Rachel!
Asian dramas worth watching on Netflix. There are actually heaps available to Australia - here are some decent-ish ones - check out their descriptions and see if they interest you.
All my favourites aren't on Netflix so I'll hook you up sometime.

1. Manual do Presidiário
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
This is an excellent drama about a baseball player who is sent to prison after attacking someone who attempted to sexually assualt his sister. Written and directed by one of the best teams that make the Reply series (below). It's about the lives of the people who surround him in prison, both guards and prisoners. LONG EPISODES! 1.5 - 2 hours.
Stars my favourite actor Jung Kyung Ho.

2. Responde 1997
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
The first in the Reply series which is a delightful trip down memory lane. You travel through their memories and try to guess who the husband is.
Series goes 1997 - 1994 - 1988 (1988 is the best and not available on Netflix)
I haven't watched 97 on Netflix but I believe they changed the music a little but should still be good. This one's past is set in high school.

3. Responde 1994
Korean Drama - 2013, 21 episodes
Second in the series, set in a boarding house during university years. The parents are the same throughout but their children change.
Longer episodes.
-
4. Meninos Antes de Flores
Korean Drama - 2009, 25 episodes
A "classic" this was my first k-drama. If you watch all the good ones at the beginning it's hard to watch things like this - super tropey and fun.
About a girl who fights bullies and then falls for one of them. Also she can not swim but earns a swimming scholarship. Drama crack.
-
5. Os Produtores
Korean Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
This one is pretty fun and cute. It's basically like The Office Korea style - a mockumentary of a broadcasting company. Pretty sure it is 90 minute episodes.
-
6. Curador
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
A nice action rom-com starring Ji Chang Wook (beautiful human). Good mix of genres a little political. Features a barrister barista I should really tell the other Rachel about!
-
7. Casa Cheia
Korean Drama - 2004, 16 episodes
Actual classic about a woman whose house is stolen and sold to a celeb and then she ends up in a fake relationship with him. Obviously they end up falling in love.
-
8. Estadia na Casa da Hyori
Korean TV Show - 2017, 14 episodes
-
9. Tudo Bem, Isso é Amor
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
Watched this one recently, it is super popular. It's a rom-com about mental health professionals, a share house full therapists and patients and it's a little cray cray. Overall I liked it.
-
10. Good Morning Call
Japanese Drama - 2016, 17 episodes
This is a cute Japanese high school forced cohabitation drama.
-
11. Roupa Íntima
Japanese Drama - 2015, 13 episodes
Another cute Japanese drama about a girl who is obsessed with fabric and gets her first job at an Atelier (I'm pretty sure the Netflix title is Atelier)
-
12. Mulher Forte, Do Bong Soon
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Strong Girl Bong Soon on Netflix.
This one is super cheesey and cute. It's about a girl with super strength who becomes a body guard for a gaming company CEO. There is also a kidnapping subplot and some questionable humor.
-
13. Minha Nossa, Fantasma
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
A shy girl who can see ghosts gets possessed by a virgin ghost that is attempting to lose her virginity and failing. It's pretty fun. I really like Park Bo Young - she's in this and the one above, she's really adorable. and the other actress Kim Seul Gi is great too.
-
14. O Som do Seu Coração
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Pure comedy - nice 30 minute episodes that will give you a laugh. Features my favourite Korean actress as the girlfriend - Jung So Min.
