Supporting Actresses that Captivated Me (2021 updating)

I wanted to make a list of actresses that made me sit straight and notice them even if I was casually watching a show. Then, they made me compelled to search up more about them and watch more of their works. In short, my latest curation of actresses I am looking forward to watch more of.

  • Ha Jae Sook

    Sul-coreano

I have seen her on and off in several support roles through the years and not once has she not failed to impress me. Still hoping for her to get more meaty roles to display her entire range of skills, maybe as she becomes more veteran of an actress (older) like Na Moon Hee.

  • Im Se Mi

    Sul-coreano

In the roles that I have seen her in, she has been able to portray great comic timing while retaining emotional range. Hoping to see her in longer roles.

  • Jin Ji Hee

    Sul-coreano

A child actress that is now transitioning into more varied roles. I'm looking forward to the different roles she'll take now.

  • Jin Kyung

    Sul-coreano

Veteran theater, drama and film actress. I have loved her in multiple works as a supporting actress, but for me, the standout role was her turn as a hard hearted reporter in Pinocchio.

  • Jung Hye Sung

    Sul-coreano

Loved her roles in Chief Kim and Pegasus Market. An actress that has a natural flair for comedy without making it OTT, it is always a delight to see her on screen.

  • Kang Han Na

    Sul-coreano

Kang Han Na has had main roles but always as an ensemble and is usually categorized as secondary character (rather than support). I first saw her in Just Between Lovers and while I always acknowledged that she is an excellent actress, it was her turn in a comedy role in My Roommate is a Gumiho that made me fall in love with her versatility.

  • Kim Mi Kyung

    Sul-coreano

A veteran actress and well loved and known by anyone who has seen a few K-dramas. While I have liked her in a lot of her works, my favourite was her pairing with Jang Nara in Go Back Couple.

  • Kim Jae Kyung

    Sul-coreano

I knew her since her Rainbow days and was surprised at her transition into an actress of caliber. It is hard to make an OTT character endearing and her take on Veronica Park in The Secret Life of My Secretary was well loved for a reason.

  • Kim Seul Gi

    Sul-coreano

First gained her breakthrough in popularity through SNL Korea, she is famous as a scene stealer. I have been impressed by her comic timing as well as more emotional roles, and hoping for her to transition into bigger roles given her public recognition.

  • Kim Shin Rok

    Sul-coreano

A new face for me as well as the world of K-dramas. I absolutely loved every time she appeared on the screen in Beyond Evil. I am excited to see more of the different roles that she can and will play from now on.

  • Kim Sun Young

    Sul-coreano

A well-known Koream drama, movie and theater actress, I have always been blown away by her portrayals of different characters from Reply 1988 to Because this is my first life. Her portrayal of emotions is always so nuanced and not exaggerated.

  • Kim Ye Won

    Sul-coreano

She has been a scene stealer even as support roles, and I loved her as a main ensemble in Eulachacha Waikiki 2. Hoping to see more of her as main roles.

  • Kim Yoon Hye

    Sul-coreano

Usually cast as in Support antagonist roles in dramas, she has gained more public recognition through her role in Vincenzo. Looking forward to her being cast in more diverse roles from here on.

  • Lee Joo Young

    Sul-coreano

An indie film actress to now supporting roles in more mainstream productions. I first saw her in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and later in indie film Jane. Through Itaewon Class, she has gained more public recognition, and I'm looking forward to her future in the industry.

  • Nam Ki Ae

    Sul-coreano

Withstanding a late start to her career, she has been in a lot of well-received works. Her delivery of her roles in Flower of Evil and Haechi made me like her even more than before.

  • Park Jin Joo

    Sul-coreano

A well loved scene stealer, she makes even 5 minutes of her screen presence to stand out. Hoping to see her transition into roles with more screentime and depth to showcase her caliber.

  • Park Yoo Na

    Sul-coreano

An impressive selection of work since debut with good amount of screentime as well as impact to viewer. Looking forward to her future.
