My Best of 2019 Drama List

I'm adding the caveat that this is what I was able to watch in the actual year 2019.  I may likely add to the list later on since I'm not through all my 2019 PTW dramas.

It would seem that 2019 wasn't that good of a year for me in terms of dramas.  Not only did I not rate many highly, the diversity of nations I watched was smaller.  

I barely watched many Thai dramas this past year compared to previous.  I don't know if it was the acting, production, directing, stories, or what, but I was pretty much let down by a large % of it.  

I bumped up the amount of Chinese dramas, but they were only slightly above average, and the length of them were so high that it kept me from having much time to watch other stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised that Taiwan, AGAIN, started to produce some dramas that people decided to subtitle and were worth watching all the way through.  The production value is still lacking in my mind though.  I'm not a fan of all the background noises they like to add to emphasis a mood, etc. especially when they have to do with all things that belong in the toilet.  =/ Having said that, they were still above average watches for me.

South Korea is still my penultimate of regions to watch dramas.  This year was a bit more lackluster than I hoped for!  Especially when so many GREAT actors came out of conscription duty...only to either NOT do anything but take vacation time, or get right in and pick the completely WRONG type of drama....or just decide to do a movie.  

Anyway...  Maybe the stuff I haven't gotten around to watching will float my boat.  I am willing to receive priority suggestions...I'm currently watching Hotel del Luna, Love and Destiny, and The Untamed, and plan to pick up My Country: The New Age after these.....
