Every time I looked for lists of recommended BL's to watch, I find myself staring at lists containing shows I really wouldn't even recommend to watch. I felt like they're specifically tailored to appeal to a specific gaze that is not aligned with what I feel should be a decent portrayal of male-male "love". While not all the shows in this list portray healthy relationships 100% of the time, I do believe they are somewhat special for letting me dream, for them resonating with my personal feelings of dealing with self-identity, struggles with family and society, and that melancholic endless yearning.
