Drama in Japan ~ some favorites

How it is going ~ Drama in Japan

From my experience every country's series have its own character, and it took me the longest to get used to Japans, but now I am deep in love with it.

-The reason why I found them kind of hard to watch (and still sometimes do, ) are mostly the characters, dialogues and acting not that it was bad, just a style I am not used to.

+I love the aesthetic! Clothes, houses, buildings ... everything and especially the filming. Also, most of my all-time favourite dramas are from Japan..

Currently, trying to find all the gems, so if you know great ones please tell me, thank you!

A piece of art, and no I don't mean his hair (which is one aswell tbh)

The first episodes had me hooked and sadly my busy self ruined the second part by watching it in pieces. The story line is unique, just like the main lead. I love him so much. The series was hilarious and very exciting at the same time. I found myself following each story and never getting bored, in most series I skip through a lot of parts, but in this one I didn't skip a second!

Also, one day I am going to make a compilation of him being disturbed while eating curry. It was so hilarious, poor boy only wanted to have some peaceful curry time.

In the reviews I read the line, "This is a good story but probably not for everyone, especially those who refuse to open their mind." And that is my opinion of it, just that I don't have the capability to write my thoughts out.

I think love, especially first love, is never flawless. I could relate to both characters, but especially Kiyoi had my crying so much, the last episode was such an up and down of emotions, and his acting was so, so amazing. And I find myself crying and crying again, no matter how often I have already watched the episode.

The story shows two totally different teenagers, who find peace in each other through the ups and downs of growing up and finding out who you are. First, Kiyoi seems like the typical cold, popular and handsome main lead who made the unpopular (shy, awkward) boy fall in love with him, no matter how bad he treats him.

He has difficulties expressing himself and Hira also was no hope since that boy is absolutely blind when it comes to reading others emotions. When Kiyoi called him "selfish in some way" je wasn't wrong, even though it wasn't Hiras fault just the way he is, his own love for Kiyoi made him so blind, that he never thought he was good enough for him. In some way, Hira pictures a lot of people well, who hate themselves for not being able to reach people's expectations, and especially not their own. Who always think that they don't deserve what they have and not beliving they deserve love or that there is anyone that would ever love them. And in some way Kiyoi is like that as well, just that he is better at hiding his feelings, may it be through a cold face or smile, like so many people who pretend to be fine, while breaking inside.

To all of you: you are enough, you are worthy of all the love and so much more, and you are doing amazing. Sending virtual hugs to all people who need one!!

I love this drama, for the characters, for the story and for the cringe as well.

The main characters are both walking clichés and cliché breakers at the same time.

It is kind of like a comfort series/film for me, which I could watch many times again, just like the two series above on this list. In my eyes, it is a story of people finally coming to terms with their past and the person it made them. And finding a person who loves them just for who they are.
