Completed Movies/Films 2023 (with notes)

Jan 3th. - This movie is very highly rated but because of that I had high expectations. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as it thought it would be. The story was imo good but not great enough to reach a peak and then the last part was imo to sudden of a twist and OTT.

Jan 4th - This was a well overall good movie. I liked the story line, the acting and it was well paced.

Jan 5th -  Really good. The only thing that was missing was some inside details but on the other hand it's a movie and not a drama, they don't have time for that  :))

Jan 7th - This was a fantastic written story and well executed. A mix of the westerner movies Lucie and Wolverine without the body change. As kids used as lab rats  programmed, trained and some weird blue drugs provided that they need for the rest of their lives or else..... and of course this is all done by a crazy doctor. Like a dr. Mengelen. Anyway this was a suspenseful watch.

Jan 7th - This sequel is very disappointing. With some groups that had different views of things handled. The story was chaotic and there was so much blood that it could be called Blood Pool; Finding the other witch. Nah really bad in comparison with part 1.

Jan 21th - The story I can't approve of but that is of course personal preference. The visuals are great and the acting ok.

Jan 23th - This was an amazing written sci-fi story. Everything in the different timelines is well connected and from the start, for me, very clear. Awesome CGI and great acting.

Febr. 6 - Great action costume movie, story is set  in the Warren States. I liked the concept. I only still don't quite understand how the history was in "China" 2000 yrs ago. How were the "Japanese and Chinese" in terms of unity? One day I will find out!!!

Febr 4  - Great Fantasy movie, well produced, directed and acted. The only thing that bothered me was that they made that movie of a scripture from Buddhism and I'm sure that's not what the true scripture meant.  

Febr. 5  -  This movie ties in very well with the first part. You could say it is 1 very long well-produced movie. Shame about the Buddha scripture though

Febr. 7  -  This is like a old James Bond movie but now with a Japanese Main Cast. Wasn't bad just ok.

Febr. 8  -  Watched this coz of my movie challenge but it's not really my cup of tea. The acting and story was ok but the total setting was off.

Febr. 12 -  A good old fashion martial arts movie from 1993 with Jet Li. The only little annoyance was the laugh of the villain.

March 13  -  Idk what to say! Weird story about right and wrong, moral issues and a lot of sadistic violence. Good acting, visuals and ending tho :))

March 18  -  Nice Asian - Westerner movie. Liked the story and overall setting of the mixed. The cinematography was amazing

March 21 - Watched on Satoh's Birthday :)  

Sci-Fi movie with a nice plot. Good CGI, well played by the Leads. 

March 27  -  Idk in the beginning it has a lot of violence and it's chaotic but then after a while the plot gets a shape and the characters are put in place, the good part starts and then towards the end is becomes somewhat pushed in speed. It has a solid ott abrupt ending imo

April 2  -  This was a weird but good story. Little chaotic until you get the intertwined plot. Acting was great but it's a pity that the director didn't make smooth scene transitions

April 8  -  A typical but nice B/W from the 50s film. I liked the slice of life genre about this family and I loved the somewhat quiet modern thinking character of the FL Kiyoko .

April 24  -  It was a nice story but it felt more a Westerner movie with Asian actors than it was Japanese . The influence and production is from a well known Hollywood producer. That's a shame!
