DROPPED

WATCHED: 3 episodes total, with speed throughs of a few others. 

This show was just awful. I hated both leads, but especially the older love interest. Like, if you're going to have a character who looks like a middle aged hobo, you can at least give him a decent personality. Instead, he has the charisma of a soggy paper bag, but he's also nosy and pushy to boot. This show also does what many shows do, where it creates a love triangle with a much better option, but the character chooses the worse option. In this case, it's hard to fathom with just how pathetic the love interest is. 

There is zero chemistry between the leads, and the show is oddly on the het side. It feels very low budget with a lot of frustrating elements. I've tried to push through it, but it's just painful.

I may go back and watch a few more episodes, just to be fair, but this show is painful to watch. What I saw from the second episode confirmed to me that I will not be able to continue. The main character acts like he's mentally challenged. I find the entire thing repulsive, like it seems wrong that a person with average intellectual function would have a romantic relationship with someone who's mentally four. 

It was all so strange, too. The directing and writing were awful, and people had the weirdest reactions to things. Also, what was with all of the children? Why were there 45 children, and several of them each get their own arc in the first episode? There was this weird theme where none of these kids had responsible parents, and all of them had been hoisted onto younger relatives. It was truly bizarre. 

I highly doubt I could enjoy this show, but I may give it another shot at some point, since I only watched a bit.
