to put it simply... PEAK OF PEAKS

i adore this show in every single aspect... it was carefully crafted by the hands of god

    • incredible soundtrack, from bgm to all the insert songs. the OP is amazing and i can't get tired of it. i usually skip the OPs after a few episodes but i make sure to watch kingoh's OP every single time unless i really want to get to the next scene. easily the best sentai OP both musically and visually
    • all characters, from mains to even mobs, have interesting and well-thought out personalities, on top of having unique character designs that make them easily recognizable anywhere for their elements and motifs. and of course, amazing actors who were carefully chosen by the producers
    • many people complain about the show being 80% cgi, the zoom-in/pan/slowmo on combat scenes, the compositions and overall how bad it looks to them BUT I LOVE IT. to be fair, i don't think it's much different from the special effects and cgi used in western movies such as marvel or netflix's shows, the difference is that sentai has a small budget compared to those, plus it's a weekly show being produced as it airs, so some eps looks better and some you can tell they didn't have much time to better polish stuff. i think they did amazing with what they had
    • PRETTY MECHA AND EPIC GATTAI SEQUENCE... i loooove the shugods and king-ohger, specially legend king-ohger!!! it kind of reminded me a bit of gaoking's gattai but it's more epic, slightly better cgi and doesn't have a narrator ruining it smh. also the FREAKIN' COCKPIT?!?!? JUST THE COOLEST SHIT EVER
    • the standby sounds are so good!!! the ohger calibur has to be my fav weapon/henshin device ever now LOL listen to it and tell me it's not peak (THE WAY THE HORNS BUILD UP AND A NEW ONE GETS ADDED AS THEY PUSH THE HANDLES ON IT... EEEEEE)

this was my entry to the kamen rider franchise! it was so fun keeping up with the show as it aired. i love the characters and the story. i thought the concept of mixing video games with medicine was really cool!

it's also unironically the most visually appealing kamen rider series to me idgaf what anyone says about the suits LOL. like if it wheren't for the colorful and unique designs i don't know if i would even consider picking up this show to watch on my own, but obviously that's not enough to keep me watching til the end, the story was also entertaining despite it's flaws. it's overall a really special show to me!

this show is sooooooooooooooooo popular in my country for some reason LOL. it's almost like this show wasn't produced in japan
it is part of a lot of people's childhood here and people still cosplay juspion!
i personally didn't grow up with it but i watched it after reconnecting with toku some years ago. it's a solid show that still holds up to this day!

  • Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger

the power rangers adaptation was my first ever contact with tokusatsu (followed by dino thunder/abaranger), even without knowing what tokusatsu as a genre was. i then watched the source sentai it was adapted from and liked it just as much. it's a very special and nostalgic series to me! i loved when the rangers would call for their power animals using the crystal orbs, that was the most hype shit ever to kid me, and still is, LOL
