O Casal da Emergência (2014)

This is basicly a ER story it evolves around the the main characters with medical related issues. I liked the hospital theme and patients stories, but to me they focus too much on it that the love story fells flat and very slow pace with the main characters love on the side line and the live problems of them more on the forefront. I was dissapointed that the supporting roles although great through the series at the last episodes are unresolved at just left unfinished. I really liked the story but they should have make it more appealing and not rushed the love part in the last episode, which leaves this drama as just a medical drama with a splash of romance and more life lessons.

Emergency Couple (AKA Emergency Man and Woman)

This is a "second chance at love" show. The premise is a divorced couple meet again as interns in the same Emergency Room. Sparks fly. The primary couple is Oh Jin Hee, played by Song Ji Hyo, and Oh Chang Min, played by Choi Jin Hyuk. I'll be honest. Choi Jin Hyuk flips my switch, so I'm inclined to love anything that I see him in because, yeah. Ahem. Anyway. They are a couple that married young and against the wishes of his family and then broke up spectacularly after a year. Six (I think) years later, they meet up again when they are both assigned as interns to the same team in the emergency department of their hospital. What follows is a couple re-learning what it was that attracted them in the first place, and also what ways they had to grow before they could really be successful together. The show does hit a point where it starts to drag a bit when some tragic things happen and Oh Chang Min spends two or three episodes kind of back sliding and wallowing, but once you get through that, you're rewarded with a couple of wrap up episodes that tie everything up neatly and satisfactorily. The secondary couple are really fun to watch together and have just as satisfying, though less delved, story as the main couple. The supporting cast is fun. I've already watched this drama twice and will probably watch it again at some point in the future because, as mentioned, Choi Jin Hyuk, damn. That voice, that smile. Mmph.

STORY: well, it was a good story I mean the plot itself was great, like old lovers separated because of difference and lack of love and meeting each other again and falling in love with each other all over again. It was great, don't get me wrong but I had a hard time finishing this drama, I don't know why the story was kind of dragging I really thought they could have finish with 16 episodes or something.
CAST: I love Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk include to the list Lee Pil Mo as well, honestly they were the only reason I kept watching the show until the very end that's how much I love them, hahaha
MUSIC: Haha, the music was honestly forgettable! When I think about Emergency Couple there's no music or BGM that would come to my mind, that's how forgettable it was.
REWATCH VALUE: Maybe, if you really love this drama you might watch it agian but for me I would possibly watch it again only for Song Ji Hyo and Choi Jin Hyuk.
OVERALL: 7.5/10 because it was dragging and the in-laws were kind of annoying as well.

*Edit: I've tried watching it today... and surprisingly I actually kind of like it the second time around... hahahhaa maybe it went up to 8.5/10 stars overall in my opinion hahaha

Its a cute and funny medical drama. I liked the concept of second chances. Choi Jin Hyuk is hot. I liked the struggle of Oh Jin Hee and how she realized that she needed to be a doctor not because she wanted to prove something but because she wanted it. The characters of Cheon So and Ji Hye were amazing. After some episodes I was more focused on these two. I liked how the writers gave them both a realistic ending, specially Cheon So who towards the end opens up to life and love. Ji Hye was again not a typical female second lead. She was supportive and smart.

The music is not really memorable, but it has a few upbeat songs that did catch my attention. Special mention to the cute baby. After the first few episodes, the show lost its momentum. The last few episodes dragged like hell. Anyways could watch this show to see something new.

It's a pity that this drama couldn't support it till the end. Actually, the length was just too much and kind of ruined the whole romance. The small doctor cases were interesting, but small, as the drama didn't really focused on them. Rather, they emphasised more on the love story, which was okay, but more interesting at the begining rather at the end. At first, the two of them were entertaining and funny, with the love triangle growing with a nice pace. However, things got of track towards the end. If the drama was at least two or three episodes shorter, I believe that it would have been better for the story. Finally, the performances were good, though the leading lady was a bit annoying. So, 5 out of 10.
