Not by Blood nor by Papers, but by Choice!

The character development in this series is compelling. Each character's individual story intertwines beautifully, creating a rich tapestry that keeps viewers engaged. The recurring motif of the male lead rescuing the female lead brings a classic charm to the story, reminiscent of a knight in shining armor.Read my Full Review and Recap: https://diyarisks.blogspot.com/2024/10/family-by-choice-2024-episode-2-review.html

"Awakening Wings: When the Nest No Longer Suffices"

I must admit, I thought this would be just another lukewarm, melodramatic drama, but what we have here is dynamic storytelling, with an engaging script and well-crafted scenes. The editing is truly excellent; everything is neatly pieced together and flows effortlessly, thanks to the editors.By the second episode, you can already sense that San-ha and Hae-Joon are showing signs of wanting to spread their wings and leave the nest that fate chose for them. Credit goes to the writer for taking the time to carefully lay out each character’s reasons for wanting to fly away.I’d like to highlight Won-Young Choi’s performance as a typical, protective Korean father. He handles this role with a natural ease. On the other hand, my criticism goes to the portrayal of Joo-Won’s teenage version, which felt a bit caricatured and overly immature, even for a high schooler. As for romance, I don't think we'll see a love triangle here. I haven't watched the Chinese version, but it seems like the love story will ultimately be just between San-ha and Joo-Won.
