Half of Us (2023)

This is a has a similar spy storyline but the setting is political instead of the martial world, and the overall tone is lighter and not as dark. Ryan cheng is the male lead , and his character is like a combination of both male leads from this series. The main female lead isnt as cold or manipulative as either female leads in this series, she’s more innocent but not naive. The second set couple set of characters are more immoral than outright evil and which gives them more interest.

This is a short series approx 12 min. per eps. the story is more compact and world building isn’t as rich in detail, but it’s still an enjoyable watch.

Both have dark and mysterious plot. The cinematography is so good

Inspired by the romance of Liang Shang Bo and Zhu Ying Tai, the story revolves around two lovers who will overcome all obstacles to remain together. Ling Chang Feng is an honourable general and has been in a passionate marriage with his wife for the past 3 years. However, a strange disturbance hits their city on their third anniversary, and "madmen" run wild in the town, attacking innocent citizens violently. Ling Chang Feng leaves his wife behind to protect the people, but when he returns, finds that his wife has been infected by this phenomenon. He refuses to reveal this, as he knows that anyone who turns mad will be killed. He keeps her by his side in secret while trying to solve the cause of this frightful phenomenon.

With every episode, "My Journey to You" reminds me of Joy of Life because of the mind games between the characters. Both are also of wuxia genre (non-traditional) but have wonderful plot lines. Albeit, Joy of Life has attempted assassinations on male lead while the main lead in My Journey To You is the assassinator. Both are amazing dramas to watch and keep your brain eager for the next clue and episodes.

It is set on historical with wuxia (martial arts) elements.

The two drama are directed by the same director. Although the stories of two dramas are different but the cinematography, costumes, visual are all beautiful and rather similar. The cast from the main leads to support roles of two dramas are all great and act well.

Secret organizations, check.
Brainwashed organization members, check.
FL leads are great fighters, check.

While a "League of Nobleman" isn't a spy drama, it is a mystery drama. It also has a dark theme, good aesthetics and cinematography. It has some palace intrigue. It's a "Smart" drama like "My Journey to you". No romance though, story is bromance/friendship based. The ending wraps up pretty good.

My journey to you is a dark and intriguing spin that revolves around Yun weishan, a female spy, she infiltrates the Gong residence to complete a mission. In the eerie and treacherous Gong residence, she encounters love and friendship, embarks on a journey of self-discovery, and finds the determination to move forward. Together with the rebellious nobleman Gong Zi Yu, they grow and mature through their shared experiences. (MDL)

The main leads involve the fl and sml of LBFAD, so those who couldntsatisfy their crave for LORD CHANGHENG and XIAO LANHUA chemistry, you have an opportunity her!

This drama has a lot of twists and turns too and good acting. Both dramas have great fighting scenes. Love is present but never takes over the plot. The ups and downs of brotherhood is central to the story.
