Magically Obsessed
MY TOP FAVORITE BLI am still riding on cloud nine while writing this. It's been years since the release of the series but the feelings I felt during their airing days still live within me. And yes! Early this year, they announced that the movie version is coming out soon. I waited for years and months, and all I can say is that the wait is worth it.
Fluffy, a source of happiness, eye candies, charming, exquisitely appealing, tender, lovely, and all of the positive adjectives that perfectly suit this beautiful story. I am delighted that they presented a new flow of scenarios never seen in the series, as this is the continuation of their love story. The camping was too aromatic and the New Year celebration was pleasantly entertaining.
The plot was the couple’s long-distance relationship. I adore how supportive both of each other's achievements, despite knowing that it may hugely affect them. Once again, this movie allows me to question where to find a Kurosawa of my own. After knowing that Adachi has been in an accident, our best boy runs from Tokyo to Nagasaki looking pale and wet when he finds Adachi. I love this guy so much! The 8-months long distance relationship is hard to fight but the two finally conquered it. I am just disappointed that, the same with the series, they didn't give us an on-screen kiss but instead give us a kissing scene where they have to cut during the highlight. On the good hand, Keita and Eiji can pull out the whole show without being so intimate.
Soon later, they decided to live in one house. I am so overwhelmed with the amount of cuteness that Kurosawa has from this. From taking too long to eat the food prepared by Adachi since he's trying to remember it for the rest of his life, to taking several photos of Adachi wearing the clothes he bought for him; he is just so lovely!
Here we go, the plot twist of the movie, introducing one another to their respective families. But before this, I was laughing so hard when Adachi was presenting his resume and the written reasons why he is applying to be Adachi's partner. Overjoyed when Kurosawa was warmly accepted by Adachi's family. This boy has been secretly in love with Adachi for years and looks where he is now, approved by his boyfriend's parents. "I want to share my life and have a future with him." Kurosawa to Adachi's family.
One of the best things from this movie is that Adachi leveled up his game. After losing his ability to read minds, he became too real about his feelings and showed more affection to Kurosawa. I super love his lines to Kurosawa, "When you're weak, I'll be strong." Yes! Someone like Kurosawa needed these kinds of words to hear, especially coming from the apple of his eye. Congratulations to both of you for winning the approval of Kurosawa's family too.
The engagement at the ocean was a growth for them, from Kurosawa offering a matchy pen before to now that both of them wear an engagement ring, I am just so happy. And here we go, the finale that all of us want to happen, our KuroDachi is officially a married couple. The matching wedding suits are looking so great on them. This special moment literally bought continuous happy tears from my eyes. The look of everyone who is so important to them when the two walked down the stairs was just so heartwarming.
Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! has always reserved space for my heart even after how many years will pass by. The nostalgic vibes I felt from watching this movie brought me back to when I was so patient in waiting for each episode to air during their release. The original version is so great too, the manga has more scenes from the couple and I am recommending it to many as well. I guess I already said all the things that I wanted to write in this review after watching the movie. One thing is for sure, the cast, the story, and the characters, are always living gratefully in my heart! I love you all and I am wishing for absolute pure happiness in life.
Sincerely,
An avid fan that magically changes his world from your healing love story.

Too soft and not enough romance!
Nothing special, missing this won't effect you. To be honest the series with the build up before they got together was better then when they were together, it was too soft and not enough romance! I almost see them as friends that are almost too close or that maybe have a crush on each other vs them actually dating. It's TOO soft, I actually want to whine *cries* you can do these things platonically what makes you guys be in a romantic relationship?? A relationship like theirs in real life would be amazing cause I love the simple things but that is different vibe to the series with its comedy and basis on intimacy, I guess I want more when it comes to watching a show or movie.I wouldn't call this bad, I just didn't feel the chemistry or intimacy (at least attempts at it) that I felt in the series. I couldn't seem to be interested or care about the movie as it was basically us following Kurosawa and Adachi around as if it a slice-of-life anime. I'm all for baby steps and taking it slow, I even prefer it but the movie makes it almost unatural where is the tension or chemistry from the series??
This was such a comfort show for me, I'm glad I didn't wait and anticipate this movie cause I'd be even more disappointed. I think if it was its own season rather than a movie it maybe could have matched up to the series.
Don't let my review stop you cause we like different things, I love Cherry Magic because it hits all my soft and happy spots, its my comfort show though the movie is the same atleast similar vibe of the series I just didn't love it. If you're part of the fandom, I believe you'll enjoy this but if you love the series watch the movie anyways cause I believe a continuation of a show you love will never be a waste of time.

Not a lot of people would like this if they aren't fans of the couple. Because this was probably mainly done for the supporters of the fandom.
These are the kinds of BL movies that I like. They may be not as unique nor full of twists and turns but just feel good, cute scenes and satisfying endings.

Una continuación que vale la pena.
¡Hola, gente hermosa!

One of my most favorite series
This series has been such a joy to watch. From the cinematography, casting, and the story itself, so much effort has been put into making this. One of the best BLs ever, that unlike most of the genre, focuses on a healthy relationship. Furthermore, I appreciate how the characters were never pressured into physical intimacy. There is not a lot of kissing scenes but it just further portrays how deep their love is. Kurosawa and Adachi will forever remain in my heart with their fluffy romance. Thank you to the actors Keita Machida and Eiji Akaso for making this series come to life!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Watch this one not the remake
This was such an intersting a diffrent plot. You know what they say if something is good people will immitate it. This was such a good series.I am not a fan of making remakes so close to an original release so I might be a teensy bit biased but I think the original is so charming that it cant really be replicated.

A welcome end to a beloved series
With eager anticipation from devoted fans, the long-awaited movie that continues the beloved series has finally arrived, and it delivers on many fronts. Seamlessly picking up where the series left off, the film provides a satisfying extension to the story of Kurosawa and Adachi, capturing the essence of their unique relationship and the challenges they face. It truly serves as a welcome addition to the series that fans have grown to adore. The narrative starts with Kurosawa and Adachi happily together, planning their future after the series' memorable finale, where they overcame Adachi's fear of losing Kurosawa without his magical powers. However, their harmonious existence takes an unexpected turn when Adachi receives news of his transfer to another office. Skepticism arises, but with Kurosawa's unwavering support and encouragement, Adachi musters the courage to make a life-altering decision. The movie predominantly revolves around the pivotal choices these two characters must make together, not only to sustain their relationship but also to propel it forward.
The film's greatest strength lies in the remarkable portrayal of the two main characters by their respective actors. Akaso Eiji flawlessly captures Adachi's timidness and lack of self-assurance, allowing viewers to empathize with his journey of personal growth and self-discovery. Throughout the movie, we witness Adachi gradually stepping out of his shell and developing into a more confident individual, demonstrating authentic character development. Machida Keita's portrayal of Kurosawa is equally captivating, showcasing his charm and handsomeness while also highlighting his deepening love for Adachi. As Kurosawa embraces vulnerability and Adachi expresses his emotions more openly, we witness the genuine growth of their relationship.
While the storyline may not break new ground, the exceptional performances by the actors elevate the movie and make it a worthy continuation of the series. Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita breathe life into their characters, infusing them with depth, nuance, and undeniable chemistry. It is through their heartfelt performances that the movie shines, capturing the hearts of viewers and allowing them to witness the genuine evolution of a relationship.
In conclusion, for those who have enjoyed the series, this movie serves as a fitting and much-anticipated conclusion. It is a heartwarming journey that showcases the exceptional talents of the actors and portrays the authentic growth of a relationship. Whether you were captivated by the series' charm or drawn to the characters' endearing dynamics, this film is a must-watch, as it provides closure and continues to tug at the heartstrings of fans. Prepare to be moved by the exceptional performances and be reminded once again of the power of love and personal growth.

Even better than the show
This gave me everything that I've been missing in the show. I loved seeing them navigate real life circumstances and generally just seeing more of them as an established couple. Also the film doesn't feature too much of the secondary couple which I was glad about because I didn't enjoy them too much in the show. Definitely worth watching, I will be rewatching it a lot :DEsta resenha foi útil para você?
I loved it....
After completing the Japanese series I came here to watch some recommendations and suddely I saw this. This is amazing I've never thought that they'll do a continuation for the series. I'm in love with this movie. and specially I didn't expect the ending like that. I'm not going to spoil anyone here in that case I'll just say that as the ending scene.I literally loved the whole story plot. It's cute, fresh and heart touching. When I was watching the last scene I was like smiling and blushing and I literally felt butterflies because th way that Kurosawa take care of his Adachi. " when you're weak I'll be strong for you and when I'm weak I need your helping hand " that's one of the greatest line I've ever heard in a bl after a long time.
I literally loved the whole movie and I didn't felt the time passing by. This is a must watch movie after you watch the series.
( This literally made my standars go even high and I swear to god Kurosawa is literally a walking green flag )

FINALLY Found this movie
I loved the series and searched high and low for the movie for 2 years. Finally found it here: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8fv01nThere must be some law in Japan that men can't kiss on screen, so if you're hoping for one here, it never happens. Like most movies in the BL genre, it exists in this twilight zone between gay and straight romance. Well, here's an idea: skip the romance and just make it a platonic bromance. And that is, indeed what we have here, despite the wedding and exchaging rings and all that. Audiences find simulated intimate scenes, whether gay or straight, too cringeworthy to watch, and we are spared any of that here. However, as this is a Japanese drama, why not send them to an onsen to establish some level of intimacy besides sleeping together. The film sort of putters along for nearly two hours without much visual excitement.
Akaso Eiji is cute but his character arc should have overcome his constant state of gay panic. Or maybe he just isn't up to the task as an actor? Machida Keita, on the other hand, gives a wonderfully subtle and nuanced performance. I've seen these two together on TV shows and they have great chemistry together in real life, but that seems to have been lost in the direction here. I think with straight actors who are too squeamish to kiss another guy, it's best to write out all of the gay subtext and tell them they're in a buddy movie.
I really wish I could have given this a 10 across the board but it's sort of like that feeling you get when you're desperately tring to breathe and you can't satisfy yourself with the feeling of a full breath.
Well, there's a Filipino version of this, so I'll seek that one out to see if they got more creative with it.
