Aoki feels increasingly insecure about Ida's feelings for him. Akkun pushes him to ask Ida directly while hiding his troubles from him. The arrival of a beautiful volleyball team manager, Kokomi-san, from the opposing high school team and rumours about the person she likes finally convinces Aoki to confront Ida directly. He is unable to give Aoki a proper answer and Aoki in turn is annoyed and distressed, particularly after Kokomi-san arrives. She gives him a present, but Ida rejects it as he had accidentally overheard that the one she liked was his sensei. A brief talk with her helps Ida gain some insight about love. After she leaves, he catches Aoki hiding. They finally have a heart to heart talk and honestly open up to each other.
