Don’t think twice, I could bet you’d love it like I do!
I created an account today just to post my review here so you know how serious I am. There are so many BL movies nowadays but they often time lack quality, so I hesitated to watch this one (and I also thought the title could’ve been catchier).A few minutes into the first episode and I was already hooked. The romance is portrayed beautifully at its own pace, it doesn’t feel rushed despite it being a miniseries. The plot felt natural and not cringey at all. The cinematography and the music were also perfectly suited to the series. What I most like about this series is the fact that the storyline wasn't very heavy on the romance, but it also showed us about family, insecurity and so on. This is proof that a BL doesn’t need a lot of drama with crazy ex girlfriends or a crazy handsome/popular main character. A lot of the time, simplicity is perfection!
Oh and their relationship is so healthy too, where they both resort to communication in times of dispute, and not jumping to conclusions! This is easily going in my top 5 BL series. If you haven’t watched this yet, definitely do now!

My heart bloomed
One of the most beautiful KBL with heart warming story and charismatic actors.. This series really deserve a great applause 💜The story itself magnificent because I already read the manhwa before this series so of course I was waiting for it and my waiting worth it..
Specially thanks to Directer, she really has chosen beautiful cinematography and made this series more blooming...
The actors here are also well organised and the chemistry between two protagonists are really make my cheeks blush

AMAZING!!!!!
This bl series knocked it out of the park honestly. Now my top Korean bl.The story line is amazing you won't even know you're almost done with an episode till you're done and all that you feel is to move on quickly to the next one.
It is very realistic. No stereotypes, no discovering sexuality, no scenes where parents are again being gay it's just a pure story of two regular guys which would be anyone's life.
Honestly don't sleep on this.
It is amazing.

Most realistic drama out there
This drama did something indescribable to me and made me so attached to is immediatelyI‘ve never watched a drama as realistic this one
Everything was delivered so well and authentic that it sometimes felt like I was watching into someone’s real life
The actors dis such an amazing performance and I could feel every single emotion they wanted to deliver
I also loved the plot because there was no unnecessary drama ore stereotyped just two boys who follow their heart without much hesitation and I feel like that‘s what made it so realistic
also they intimate scenes gave me butterfly’s because they were so well executed
I won‘t say anymore than that you are really missing out on something If you don‘t watch it right now

Une simplicité d'une complexité époustouflante
Blueming est une série simple, et c'est ce qui en fait sa plus grande force.Il ne faut pas ici comprendre le mot "simple" comme quelque chose de péjoratif, la simplicité de l'histoire nous donne énormément de vraisemblance et de réalité au récit et permet un focus plus important sur les personnages, leur vécu, leur psyché et leurs actions.
L’histoire :
Alors, la série est clairement un BL mais n'est pas tournée comme tel dans le sens où on ne retrouve pas les thèmes habituels d'acceptation de son homosexualité, de face à face houleux avec la famille ou les proches ou des difficultés qui affèrent au "quand dira-t-on". Les personnages principaux développent simplement une romance entre eux et ça ne soulève pas de commentaires. C'est ultra rafraichissant ! Attention ,je ne veux pas dire que je n'aime pas les productions qui mettent ces thèmes en exergue mais, ne pas parler du genre dans une relation, ça repose parfois, je dois l'avouer.
De ce fait le film ( je veux dire la série mais c'est vraiment tourné comme un film ), se pose d'autres questions qui sont nombreuses. Sur l'acceptation de soi, du physique que l'on a, de l'abandon de sa vie d'avant. Mais aussi, des différentes manières que l'on peut avoir d’élever ses enfants ( qui ne sont pas sans défaut, loin s'en faut ! ). La lutte des personnages peut paraître banale ou simple, encore une fois, mais c'est pour nous montrer que quelle que soit la douleur qu'on ressent à propos d'un sujet, cette souffrance nous est tout personnelle et n'est pas anodine. En ce sens, les dialogues sont très empathiques et la réalisation plus authentique.
Les personnages :
Nous n'avons pas ici affaire à des protagonistes parfaits, ils ont leurs blessures, leurs écorchures. Ils vous décriront leurs luttes quotidiennes, banales, simples mais criantes de vérité et qui vous toucheront en plein cœur.
L'alchimie entre notre couple principal est immédiate et parait si naturelle, qu'on ne se pose pas plus de question qu'eux quand leur rapprochement se fait. Ici, pas de grande déclaration, de gestes d'éclat, on reste encore et toujours dans le simple et l'authentique et c'est pourquoi ces scènes qui nous paraissent si familières raisonneront d'avantage en nous.
Les personnages secondaires ne sont pas en reste est sont très bien dépeints également. J'ai eu personnellement une petit préférence pour Do Ba Wu, un personnage tout en finesse, qui ne dit pas forcement grand chose, qui observe tout ce petit monde, qui sait. Quand il agit c'est rapide et efficace, quand il parle c'est incisif et direct, j'ai adoré.
La petite sœur de Cha Si Won, Cha Si Yeong, aussi est géniale dans son rôle à la fois drôle et parfois insouciant, une petite note de fraicheur quand l'atmosphère familiale de la famille Cha devient trop lourde.
La réalisation :
Il s'agit de l'histoire d'étudiants en arts cinématographiques et la réalisation a dû le prendre en compte à voir à quel point la cinématographie est magnifique ! On peut même voir des techniques de tournage expliquées en classe dans un des épisodes qui sont mises en pratique dans la série. La réalisation ajoute ça et là des touche artistiques à l'image en jouant avec la luminosité et les ombres afin de créer des perspectives atmosphériques, tel que l'effet "sfumato" que l'on peut reconnaitre.
Autant le rythme que la musique, rien ne semble précipité dans la réalisation. Bien que les épisodes soient courts, on a un développement total avec un début, un milieu avec même un conflit à régler et une fin. Les événements s'enchaînent sans heurts ni temps mort mais on sent qu'on a le temps de les déguster, de les analyser et chacun résonnent en nous par leur authenticité grâce à la simplicité apportée par la réalisation.
On retrouve tout à fait la patte de la réalisatrice / scénariste, Hwang Da Seul, qui l'avait déjà imprimé dans ses précédentes réalisations : To My Star et Where Your Eyes Linger. Elle gère toujours aussi bien ses acteurs, sa réalisation est vibrante d’émotions, son montage parfait et les OST sont toujours fort à propos et très bien choisis.
En définitive, ce n'est pas une série sans défauts, bien sûr ; je préfère lui voir l'apparence d'un film bien fait mais il serait dommage de ne pas la regarder car il est bien difficile de montrer simplement des choses avec autant de complexité sous-jacente.

i run away from this series so much and I still don't know why, when I started, I think "It's too slow, another short KR-Bl" but dammit this is so awesome. In all the aspects, It's simple but super sensible and so well tought out. A real monument. The story is simple because dawon and siwon are simple. You only need one ep to fall in love with them.The acting is so well for such a young age, not just the main role but the lead roles too. The soundtrack is sweet, such good songs to hear when you start your day. The production was good too, nothing bad to point out. the rewatch value is pretty high, is something that you want to comeback always

Blueming is a must watch drama
Blueming is the bestest drama I've ever seen. I never seen a drama such like this. With a few episodes in it, I think the story and character development isn't feel like in rush and still stay in a pace. Their acting isn't bad although they're still a rookie actors. I think, all in this drama is almost perfect. The story between hyeong dawoon and cha siwon is the sincere love that makes me feels warm. I have rewatch this drama many times but I don't feel bored. T'was short but gold!
Oh wow, actually this is not a review but a appreciation letter XD... I think the short time duration of this series is not that bad because after I watched the whole series it feels like a movie that is cut and released accordingly. This series has a budget and they shoot every scenes beautifully ( I'm not a professional to say this but I really apprecite it T.T).Story: It's better than I expected to be... A college bl definitely. It's not that deep but the story is good. 10/10
Acting; they are so good but I think I still need more emotion from them so it's 8/10 but since I rated this overall it's 10/10
ps: They have a chemistry, I enjoyed watching them, and I don't want to spoil the story because it's literally short I think 10-13 minutes only each episode except the final episode T.T....
Music: uhmm 10/10
Rewatch Value: Actually 7/10 but I want to balance the overall rating... I think I'm still gonna watch this someday...
If you want some sweet and not heavily drama I think this series suits you well... I still recommend this to everyone : )))

Nice topic brought into highlights
(English is not my first language so please excuse any mistakes)After I finished it for the first time, I found it was a simple a short little story to bing watch, nothing Extraordinary, with actors who do their jobs and that's it. ( I reviewed it 7.5/10/
I decided to watch this series again few month after. And omg. Was i stupid or what?? This BL is absolutely incredible ! I must have been blind because it actually deals about toxic masculinity and the pressure and social judgement based on your looks in such a wonderful way ! Actors aren't just "good" they're fantastic ! Especially Eun Bin (si won) ! The scene with his mum is heartbreaking and I cried because he really touched me. Just thinking of it makes me emotional. Yes the format is still very short like a lot of Korean bl but I think it actually fits really good. Ofc I wouldn't have mind a bit longer episodes but I still totally recommend it !!

Not as good as I Had Hoped
I really thought something was wrong with me today, after seeing all the rave reviews and comments, and I just wasn't feeling what everyone else was feeling as I watched this series.The chemistry between the two main actors was seriously lacking, one main bl was good with blank stares and apparently having difficulty speaking his mind, the other was antagonistic - for what reason? Because he wasn't the most popular? Then he suddenly likes his supposed competition? Not acted or directed in a manner that was believable.
The actors are competent, but they seemed to be directed to under react or overreact. The story line just didn't have enough drama, comedy or chemistry to make it interesting.
There were a few good scenes, the reason I didn't rate this lower, but this one has no rewatch value for me.

Beautifully done slice-of-life BL
I had heard good things about Blueming for so long, but put off watching it because of the format. I find that many Korean BLs with 15-min episodes fall victim to the same pitfall - there's simply not enough time to get things done. This one, however, surprised me by how much they were able to do with their short time frame.Siwon has always been taught that the most important thing is how other people view you, which has made him overly insecure about how is perceived - his looks, his interests, etc. Most of the time, he comes off as charming and interesting, but a lot of what he says is actually just a facade so he retains this image of himself. However, Dawoon sees right through him. This makes Siwon anxious, and he really dislikes Dawoon for it. Once the two of them start to understand each other more, feelings between Dawoon and Siwon start to emerge.
Even though this is basically the length of a movie, they managed to convey so much in so little time. The conflicts surrounding both characters' personal lives, as well as their issues within film school, are very realistic without being overly complex, which makes them ideal for this show. I do think that the relationship aspect of the show would have benefitted greatly from more time, but overall the show was a really great short watch with a lovely romance between the main character. I ended up much more invested in them than I thought I would, and the ups and downs made this a fantastic watch.
