You May Watch It

Remarriage and Desires is more suitable for beginners interested in the 'infidelity and revenge' storyline. There were many plot holes, rushed parts, and a lack of chemistry. It may be because of less number of episodes. Nevertheless, you may watch it at least once. There were countless twists and turns. Almost all the characters were grey! (one of my favourite parts) The cast did their job wonderfully. You would get furious and throw profanities at the antagonists while pity partying and getting frustrated with the protagonists. They even messed up Lee Hyun Wook's character in the middle. However, considering the drama's length it's better to keep your expectations low.

The MAIN reason I would recommend this is because of its MUSIC. The opening song, OST, and background music are top-notch. You would feel all those emotions primarily because of THE MUSIC. I wanna thank the music director. They have done an exceptional job. *Claps*

Overall, I wanna give it 8 or 8.4 but the last episode was truly disappointing. They should have left it on an open note when it came to the romance line. After all, 95% of the story was about infidelity, revenge and struggle. So there was not much space for romance, unfortunately.

So if you are new to this genre and want something less darky, Remarriage and Desires is a good start. Just like it was for me!!

What in heaven?

She was seeking revenge but in the end, other people did it for her, it was confusing. She did not have any idea how to plan it, she could learn from Moon Dong-eun (The Glory series).

However, I felt bad for all the things that she suffered, it was awful.

Anyway, I could not find chemistry between the main leads, I was surprised when they said that wanted to be together, like what? The romance was nonexistent.

Thank God for the ML, SL, and the villain!

Ms. Choi was great. She went through a lot of bad stuff, she deserved some consolation.

Overall, it was entertaining. If you are looking for an act of elaborate revenge, it's not happening here. It was too obvious at the end.

Um ciclo das mesmas falas

Sendo sincera, a história é rasa e confusa. As ações da personagem principal são extremamente irracionas. Eu me pergunto por que alguém iria tão longe por um homem que traiu e pediu divórcio, colocando a vida da própria filha em risco? Ela diz a todo momento que quer proteger ela, mas acaba indo atras de vingança sem nem ao menos ter uma ideia de como conseguila, a não ser fazendo os mesmos discursos em todo chance que é dada.
Além disso, as provas que incriminaram a outra mulher surgiram de maneira abrupta, porque teriam a gravação dela falando o seu maior segredo?
A história da vingança em si é um ciclo de repetições das mesmas falas, não tem uma reviravolta ou um plano bem feito. Ela incrima a mulher a todo o momento, basicamente essa é a sua estratégia. Quem realmente acaba fazendo a vingança é própria Jin yoo-he, que a cada decisão complica as coisas pra si mesma e abre mais espaço para acusações.
Acredito que a atuação salva os episódios. Todos fizeram um trabalho que conseguiu dar vida a personagens tão monótonos.
Assim, eu indico a série para matar o tempo, mas caso você esteja procurando uma história de vingança ou de romance, indico fazer uma pesquisa maior para encontrar algo que realmente te surpreenda.

Marriage is business? More like Marriage is Trauma O⁠_⁠o

So let me start by saying that this drama was CRAZYYY. I don't know about others but I will definitely stay traumatized by the word "marriage" for a while because of this drama. LoL.

The story revolves around a woman who has lost everything precious in her life because of some other woman. Hence the revenge-driven story begins...
The story was good. The pacing was good. It was intense and engaging till the end. Almost all the characters were well written. Although I wasn't expecting to see subtle romance here, I'll admit I loved the chemistry between the main couple a lot!
However, I think this drama should've had at least 10 episodes to develop the romantic relationship between the leads and to give more details to some characters. Also, some things were unresolved here and there... One more thing that was a bit disappointing to me is that FL didn't have any major character development throughout the whole time. Since it's a revenge plot it was natural for me to expect some character development for her but unfortunately it was nowhere to be found.

As for acting, everyone nailed their roles except for Jung Mi Jin's mom. For someone with such an important character, her acting was flat. Her dialogue delivery was the worst. The kids in this drama acted much better than her. Kim Hee Sun, Lee Hyun Wook, Park Hoon, and Cha Ji Yeon did well in their roles. But...but... The real star of this drama was JUNG EUGENE!!! Her acting was spectacular. After loving her so much in W and Romance is a bonus book, I never imagined that someday I'll hate her so much in a drama. But that only proves how amazing her acting was!

As for music, there was only one ost. And it was too good. I rarely skipped the intro because of that ost. Once you finish this drama you'll definitely end up searching for it on YouTube.

Overall it was an 8 episode short makjang drama. If you are new to this genre (like me), I think you will enjoy watching it. But if you are a veteran to this genre you might find it mediocre.

a so-so makjang

i finished this in 2 days, i think that was pretty quick, but not to say that i did not struggle. but, thankfully it was only 8 eps. at first i watched the series at 1.5x but then on ep 4, i decided to watch this story at 2x. the major problems with this series is that it is slow. despite having only 8 eps, i still think it's slow, esp the romance between the main couple only started (or they started to have more scenes together) in ep 4, when there are only 8 eps.

the revenge plan/storyline ain't that interesting, also. at first, i was totally not threatened with the fl's plan, each time she stated her plan i was just "oh, ok?". and the main villain (eugene) might be the most watchable/interesting character bcos her plot and scheming seems better than other people. every character in this drama is driven by revenge (some are weaker), but everyone help each other bcos they only want revenge or money. so that's fun i guess, u can compare the intensity of their revenge. yeah...

the romance? hmmm idk. lacking i think. i watch this mainly for romance, but yeah, it wasn't that appealing (this applies to the main couple romance but also the side side fling).

well, since this is makjang, i won't really complain abt logic. i'm used to makjang not being really realistic/logical bcos yeah, makjang. but i don't hate it. this is one of the entertaining genre for me. so yeah, i welcome intense/hot/interesting makjang anytime. but this one is just so-so.

there are better makjang out there for sure, and i'm still looking for them too. as a netflix series, this is pretty skippable but if u want to watch for the cast (like me who watch it for lee hyun wook), it's pretty okay, i guess....

Good to watch when you have nothing else to binge.

There are definitely some downsides to the drama
.the age and wardrobe of FL sometimes might interfere with your viewing experience (personal)
.no consequences for bad people not even the bare minimum
.the story and characters are predictable-ish even though there is a lot of potential

But yet I'm drawn to this drama its very grounded (personally didn't like penthouse because of its over the top drama...it felt like a parody almost ) and I really like the subtle romance...between ML and FL.

I guess this the type of drama where its better to go with zero expectations and just have a nice time watching rich pretty people take down each other

Great with some (strong) weak points

Usually, I'm not a fan of melodrama, but I this one I quite enjoyed. It was intriguing and I was curious where the story would take me. Furthermore, it was great that they kept it at 8 episodes. Often, these dramas run out of ideas and plot and try to drag it to 16 episodes still. The soundtrack was also great. Every time it played, I could really feel that melodrama vibe. The acting of the villain was also phenomenal, I really hated her.
One thing putting me off was the wardrobe of FL. While her enemy mostly had stunning dresses, she looked like she had no fashion sense whatsoever. The whole time, I had the feeling that the person who designed her wardrobe had something serious against the actress.
Additionally, FL's revenge "plan" was really weak. I don't even want to call it a plan.
Finally, the ending was really underwhelming and a bit unrealistic. And the final scene, they could've just left out. It was so confusing, I still don't know what even happened there.

DRAMA!!!!

no because i love drama and this was superb! the fights! the way they were all trying to take each other down. the delivery. the acting. i finished it in one sitting. i wouldn't rewatch it because the woman with the short hair was insufferable but i enjoyed it. only problem i had with it was that they didn't give enough time for the romance to develop. felt like it was one sided. didn't seem like her feelings went beyond anything but a friendship.

also the ceo that was instigating everything?!! a queen. loved her.

despite the terrible makeup that made them all look like ghosts, it was a solid drama. if you love fights and drama then this is 100% for you.

Feels rushed

The plot is interesting. It could have been a great show if it's longer. It's a good idea to have the show to only have 8 episodes but why have multiple plot if the show is that short. It should have stick with the main character story line and nothing else so they can build the romance between the main characters.

The romance just feels rushed so it does not make sense. Next thing you knew they're in love and then there's a talk they were 'seeing each other'? WHEN?HOW? , Also the FL has the worst wardrobe. I hate every single dress she wore to the party. They AGED her.

Also not a fan of the ML. I can't tell if he's happy when he was with the FL. He just looks sad or mad in the entire show.

Needed More Episodes

I almost quit watching at episode 4. Story picks up at episode 5. I just felt that more episodes would have fleshed out the story, characters and eventual climax better. I get the slow burn attraction but it would have gone over wonderfully with more time dedicated to them. Some characters just sort of disappear during the show making you realize they were not that imp after all. Also the buildup to some stories was lacking. All in all, not a bad show, def not as bad as some reviews make it be. But I sort of mourn the lost potential of how much more it could have been.
