It's my opinions so don't take it to the heart who loved it!
First time writing a review for a series! The reason for writing this is to make people aware of what they are missing! Maybe some don't like it but still I want to suggest that 'watch the original version first!I was not gonna watch this although I love Korean dramas.. but one day I was scrolling reels and I saw a reel on a clip from japanese series where they were doing sign language and it attracts me to the series.. I find out it's name... although I didn't like japanese series that much but I still decided to watch this one! That series was the original version of Korean series "tell me that you love me" original named as "Aishiteiru to Ittekure" .. at first I liked it but after watching whole series it was ok for me !! Than I decided to watch its Korean version coz I wanted to know that how much good job they have done it to make their own version! And frankly speaking I didn't liked the main couple at first but then I decided to judge them after watching the series and I was not wrong!!!
They did change the story about 30 percent...
But the fact that this version is boring for me! Not attractive enough to binge watch it!!!
I am writing this review after watching 7 episodes and there is no chemistry between the main lead.. it feels like a forced relation! Like they just have to develop a bond but it doesn't click like a good acting!!
The sign language is the main thing and it lacks that also.. the FL is so bad at sign language .. she didn't learn it properly comparing to the japanese version !
The japanese FL looked like the desperate one who learned sign language for him..
but in Korean version it felt like it was just a job for some particular time that she needs to do and that's it!!!!!! I really felt bad for every bit part coz I loved the japanese version!
I realized the true worth of original story after watching the remake!
Also the ML in original story is more jolly person than in the remake one!!!
Personally the couple was lacking so much of everything! Especially chemistry! I didn't felt a thing!
Speaking of chemistry the Japanese couple was really good coz I felt something from their first interaction and gradually it grows!
But in Korean version , from their first interaction to till now they are just 'a stranger who knows a little bit about each other' for me! I felt that the main lead is carrying an invisible protection layer around him and don't even allows the FL to cross that and the FL is also not doing much of a job going beyond the limits!
Talking about the sign language , the main leads of japanese really did a great job in doing it so smoothly !! They were so smooth that it didn't felt awkward and wierd watching them ..
I was impressed by their sign language!! And the way they express themselves while doing sign language . Maintaining facial expressions and all that ..
On the other hand I felt that Korean main leads were not that good! ML was better but not so good like japanese version ML. . maybe you felt it exaggerated but that's how I feel after watching both versions!! Because conveying your message in sign language with proper facial expressions and body language is a big deal ! And they done it nicely like a pro. While the Korean version lacked that thing !
After reading reviews , I personally think that people are finding it good coz they haven't watched the original version.. that is so good compared to this one!
I am not good at writing reviews but writing this one coz I find it so wrong for the original series!!!
Hope my review will be helpful!!!

A must watch drama!!!
wow from those dramas that remain engraved in the memory, although slow, but at the same time so requested for the type of unconventional plot, it has the power of silence. Perfect casting and acting of actors, from adults to children. Aspire to the actors who learned sign language and to the main actor Jung Woo-Sung, who I suppose is not easy to be silent throughout the plot and in such a professional way to convey messages with looks. A drama that conveys a message of the power of love and the ability to overcome disability.
A beautiful and perfect soundtrack
Great drama and recommended

⚠Warning: Constant smile
It's a very beautiful drama. I like soothing and calm dramas, whether their ending is good or bad. A warning is that while watching this series, a very big smile will remain on your face. Both the male and female leads are very lovely, especially the male lead who, without uttering a single word, conveyed every dialogue with his expressions throughout the drama, which was very impressive. I also liked the scenes with the students and the acting of the music director was also very good. Overall, from my perspective, this drama is a 10/10.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Silence is acting too.
There are Korean dramas that you like very much and those that you totally enjoy. These latter ones leave you haunted by them long after you have finished the drama. Tell Me That You Love Me is the second type. I really got into the headspace of the main characters and felt their pain deeply in this impactful drama. Amidst the heavy hitter Korean dramas of 2023, this drama is a perfect sleeper gem of a Korean drama some might have missed. The story is about a woman trying to find her way in life and a man who is deaf trying to navigate through a hearing world. She has to learn to communicate with him with her hands, and he has to learn how to communicate with her with his heart. Tell Me That You Love Me has a well thought out, well executed, and unusual storyline. The story is written so well, from a deaf person’s point of view. This Korean Drama is the type of artsy drama which people who appreciate the finer nuances of good filmmaking would love.
I love it when actors use body language to convey thoughts without words. When you are playing the part of a deaf person who can not speak, you have no other way to convey the emotions of the character other than with body language.
The male lead playing the deaf character is seasoned veteran and Baeksang Arts Award top honor Daesang winning Actor, a Director, a Producer, and a Model Jung Woo-sung. He nailed this performance of a deaf person who is totally confident in his skin, but who is seared by the challenges of hearing people. The female lead is actress Shin Hyun-been. She plays a woman starting a new career as an actress. She has a soft demur acting delivery which was so appropriate for her role in Tell Me That You Love Me. The performance which both gave is called the art of acting.
Quote: “I always thought I was the one who should make an effort to live in harmony with others. Because in this world there are a lot more people who can hear than those who can’t. But out of those people, someone came to me and said hi first.” Deaf Artist expressing his feelings about someone who took the effort to communicate.
Quote: “I read sounds (voices) with my eyes. It means that every time I blink, for a brief moment, I get disconnected from the world”. Deaf Male Lead.
Quote: “Since I can’t hear people’s footsteps approaching me, I must always keep a safe distance from them.” Deaf Male Lead.
When the deaf lead was with hearing people, his demeanor was unsure and not assertive. Teaching his deaf students he was very assure and assertive. This seemed so realistic to me. I love the acting choices of the male lead. I love the way the male lead brings you into his world and verbally shows you what it is like for a deaf person to live in a hearing world. Love that at times the drama goes completely silent when two persons are signing. This was a dramatic choice I loved.
I enjoyed Tell Me That You Love Me. The OST is so poignant, featuring star singers like Seungkwan from Seventeen who wrote and sang Still You from Doctor Romantic 3 and Seori who sings Sound of Your Heart. The OST music is so encapsulating of the action that at times the music can leave you crying. There are two great second leads, a guy and girl character.
Tell Me That You Love Me meets industry stands of excellence in acting, cinematography, sound, lighting, and music OST. It falters with film editing, taking breaks of action in the weirdest places.

This drama was like a poem!
I usually don't drop reviews of the dramas I watch, I just watch them silently and keep my feelings for me. This time, though, I feel like sharing.Since the first episode this drama was so peaceful, the cinematography is excellent, which is something I love about tv series.
The story of our two main-leads is so sweet, especially when they first met. Multiple times I felt butterflies in my stomach for them and while they were slowly falling in love I was also falling in love with them..
Good job to everyone involved honestly. And the actors were so good at sign language, too, which must not have been easy. The actors were really good in general and when the main leads were watching each other they were expressing themselves so good through their eyes ❤️.
I am sad I finished watching it already. I definitely recommend it. It's a quiet, peaceful, feel-good romance drama (of course with a happy ending for who's wondering).
Enjoy watching it, it's worth it!
P.S. everyone has such a nice smile in this drama lol, even the supporting characters ? it was nice to see

I cried. I laughed. I smiled. I enjoyed. And I fell in love.
This drama is absolutly wow. Like there is so much to say about this drama yet ther are no words found to describe this drama, because of how good it is. I would 100% recomend this drama to anyone. This drama was amaizing. From the start to the beggining to the end everything was soo pretty and so touching . (i even cried because of how pretty it was)The storyline is so good, the actors behind the characters are also soo good.
I especially liked the message that was delivered in the drama. And i will definetly rewatch it.
And thanks to the drama i learned korean sign language.
The only thing stoping me from giving this drama a 10/ 10 is that there was no hug or intimacy at the end of the show.

PLOT: meeting in Jeju between a deaf painter (and introverted due to his disability and trauma) and an aspiring actress.
What I liked:
+ Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Been are awesome in this series. Their characters are difficult, marked by their childhood, their traumas. They were able to highlight their hesitations, their difficulties in communicating, their lack of confidence. So many emotions pass through the looks and their micro expressions!
+ the pace of narration is slow, but fits masterfully with the story.
+ All the actors are excellent, including in the supporting roles. The secondary characters are well developed (at least those who contribute to the story, because there is no unnecessary development). They are complex, with depth.
+ The images are beautiful and the framing is finely crafted.
+ Beautiful OST lineup that heightens emotional moments. My Personal favorites are "Try Not To Cry" by 10cm and "Greeting".
What I liked less:
- The vision of disability! OK, I know that it can be hard sometimes, that there are many constraints and difficulties to overcome. But why see disabled people as sad, even depressed people? I know many people with disabilities, and some are the most optimistic, strongest people I have ever met.
Jin Woo seems to carry all the misery in the world on his shoulders... Fortunately, there are the students, the couple of friends, who show that you can be disabled AND happy!
- By watching dramas, I'm starting to hate these (recurring) characters of exes who come back years after a break-up, trying to rekindle their lost love
I'm sorry, but in real life, that doesn't exist! An ex who comes back to see me after 10 years of no contact, I don't even know if I open my door to him. Longing for a lost love for a lifetime only exists in movies (and dramas :).
- In the same way, I know that the standards of dramas (almost) impose a break-up of the CL, BUT the doubts of the FL from the 12-13 episodes are not credible here. Her empathy, her understanding suddenly disappear? Why? She doubts, so she is no longer able to think?
=> Despite some flaws, this series is a little gem, worth watching and rewatching one day.
************************************************************************************
What I liked:
+ Beautiful OST lineup that heightens emotional moments. My Personal favorites are "Try Not To Cry" by 10cm and "Greeting".
What I liked less:

Great work!
I so enjoyed this drama and had a hard time breaking away after hours of watching. The actor Jung Woo Sung did such an excellent performance. It must have been very difficult to not speak a word through out and still perform and convey the message thru his acting. Shin Hyun Been also did such a great job. The storyline definitely gives an insight on what a deaf person goes thru. There were things in the drama that I never put a thought to it when I run into a deaf person. It is heartbreaking to see what the character, Cha Jin Woo went thru starting at such a young age. Puts a totally different awareness when someone is deaf. Thanks to the writer for putting out such a great story. On another note, I love seeing the "behind the scenes" for dramas/movies because it gives me a realistic view on the actors and the extremely hard work that goes into producing such excellent entertainment. Thanks to the actors and all that worked on this project. I am a huge fan of Kdramas and watch them daily.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Romance Slow Burn
Best melodrama!!!
I re-watched this drama so many times. It portrays the subtle love between two mature human beings. The chemistry between ML and FL are super amazing that for the whole drama didn't even think they are acting. I cried hard for their break-up scene, luckily they gave me the happy ending - so I satisfied.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
