Due to family circumstances, high school student Miko Sonoda is forced to live at her uncle's boarding house. She works as a PR for the interior maker "el Arco Iris" and has nearly 100,000 followers on her social media, which she uses to promote her company. She hopes to work hard and become the "longing existence" to Hayama Shogo, the president of her company who she secretly likes.

However, Kurumi suddenly got forced out of her apartment after forgetting to renew her contract. She ended up moving into a shared apartment in Omotesando with four other people. Kurumi begins to learn to live with different people and she starts to spend more time with Fujino Shun, one of the occupants who is a chef and lives a simple life unlike her.

Well, before Haruna and Ryusei proved their good chemistry in Kikazaru Koi, they were so nice together in this Shiro to Kiiro drama even though with much fewer screentime. Both dramas also have similarities for a story about food/restaurant with daily struggle of the characters. There are some "love competitions" between the characters, but they also show good friendships & nice relationships. These two dramas also bring good stories about hard-working spirit to make dreams come true.

Kikazaru is a 2021 spring drama, and Animals is a 2022 summer drama, so similar vibes (camera language, color grading, wardrobe, etc)

The First ML in both dramas work in a less 'conventional' area of work (Kikazaru: chef & Animals: fashion photographer). Both face serious career questions regarding the future. The relationship with the FL forms the 'other end' of things the ML must consider. Both the lead couples have a playful, bickering, sibling-like vibe initially.
